Thanks for thinking our themes are great, currently we don’t have plans on adding such features as: Different header options, full bleed front page, and landing page option.

Hi pre purchase question. Couldn’t ask on your support as no purchase key.

How is all the data for the listings saved? Just within wordpress or is it a mysql database or the like? If for example I wanted to create an app for phones to view the data from the website would that be possible?

Thanks

Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.

The data is saved into a custom table within the WordPress database structure, in the future WordPress will offer a REST API so that App developers can create custom applications that integrate with WordPress, I believe it will be released in version 4.1 which is this week – https://wordpress.org/about/roadmap/

Just a pre-purchase question. We want to list bars and clubs around our city and then have profiles for singers/performers/bands.

So essentially the site will list both places and people. Is this possible? Do you have any idea how we can change the design of the place profile to being more relevant to a person?

Love to hear back from you.

Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.

The plugin that we use only currently allows a user to submit to one form, so your idea about having a site that lists both profiles of singers/performers/bands, and also listings for bars and clubs wouldn’t be possible, as you would need two different forms on your site.

Cheers! Adam

I love the look of the theme. As I was reading through the information about the theme I notice you had an example for Getting Task done. How would that work with your theme? Do you have a demo of that example. I am just trying to see if I can work with your thee for what I am trying to do. Thanks

This is just a design example, showing that the theme can use different color schemes, that is all that the example is showing on the sales page. Hope that makes sense.

As it may answer many of your questions

Adam

Sorry for all the questions. If I want a site to list services and have customers book online. I want to charge a membership fee for people looking for services but not the businesses listing their service. I would like everyone to login using sometime type of social media they can not register just using a email, what plug-ins do I need. Is this even possible. Thanks

Hi there,

Does this theme integrate with MLS (Real Estate – link provided)

If it does, then I will be purchasing this straight away.

Thank you

No the theme and plugins does not integrate with MLS, and unless there is a huge demand for this feature, we currently don’t have plans to offer this unfortunately.

Hello,

Thanks for the great theme. I have a couple questions:

1.) Is there a way to require email activation for new account registrations that do not use Social Login?

Not all users are willing to use the social login feature. For accounts registered with email addresses, this would greatly reduce spam.

2.) Is there a plugin that is compatible with this theme to allow custom user profiles?

Currently, you can only add First and Last Name along with shipping/billing addresses. The ability to add custom fields would make the user community more robust.

3.) Is there a way to prevent the same user from making multiple reviews of the same listing?

Currently, the same user can enter unlimited reviews for the same listing. It does not recognize when the current user has already submitted a review for a particular listing.

* I submitted a support ticket yesterday regarding more than one star showing up under a listing. I believe this is related to the same user submitting multiple reviews for the same property. Duplicate reviews by the same user causes 7 or more star to appear under a listing. Perhaps this can be fixed in a future release.

4.) Is there a way to have the location search turn on the “Radius” radio button by default?

Currently when you search a location, no listings show up unless the “Radius” button is checked. By default this radio button is not checked. This is confusing and adds an extra step to the search process.

5.) Scenario – Users are required to be logged in and registered to post comments. When a user clicks the “Submit Review” button, they are redirected to the bottom of the comments for that listing. There a message reads “You must be logged in to comment.”

Is there a way to customize this message or redirect users to the account registration page?

I believe it would improve usability if the user was redirected to the registration page with that same message. Simply adding a message (after the standard notification) with a link to the registration page would also accomplish this same goal.

Thanks!!

1. Just like that saying “Theres a plugin for that!” check out WooCommerce Email Verification

2. There are plugins for WooCommerce that allow you to add more custom fields to the profile pages, but all are untested at this time, such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-poor-guys-swiss-knife/ “WooCommerce Checkout form customization (works also for billing and shipping fields on the customer’s “My Account” page)”

3. This will be in an update of the WP Job Manager – Reviews plugin, you will be able to limit the amount of times a person can rate a business.

4. This is something we are currently improving, we are think of just having an option to turn on/off Radius search in the theme settings.

5.Thanks for the feature request i’ve added the suggestion to our internal roadmap / suggestion board for further followup,

Will there be an extended license available for this theme? I would like to charge for services like shown in the demo screens, but don’t see that as an option to purchase.

Please advise. Thanks!

We don’t sell extended licenses of our themes, you can just use the regular license on any type of project.

You have our blessing!

Cheers! Adam

Hello, looks like you guys have created a beautiful theme. I have a few pre purchase questions:

Just a quick description of my site: My site is a review website for live events. it allows users to rate and review events. So the ‘listings’ would be changed to ‘events’

-Do I need to purchase the WP Job Manager – Reviews plugin or does it come free with the theme?

-Can I use the CSV importer plugin to upload over 100 events at once?

-Can I add custom fields to the comment section? For example, users can write a review, and can also add pros and cons into their review.

-Is there a return policy? Just incase!

Thank you so much for the hard work!

1. Premium plugins are not bundled with the theme including the WP Job Manager – Reviews plugin. To read more about why these plugins are not bundled with the theme check out these articles regarding the issue.

2. You can use the CSV importer plugin to import as many listings as you wish, just ensure that the CSV is formatted correctly.

3. You can but you would need to add it via the filter/actions that are in place on the comment section code. You would need to edit PHP or hire a developer to do this for you.

4. I believe Envato’s return policy is found here, we sell through their marketplace so what they say goes :)

Cheers! Adam

Thanks Adam! Looks like I’m going to go ahead and purchase the theme. Looking forward to working with it.

Excellent!

Adam

Anyway for a listing owner to track the views and clicks on their listing?

Sorry, I’m not aware of any analytics vendor/listing owner management plugins, have you researched to see if there are any solutions that offer this feature?

Cheers! Adam

Hi there,

Adam and I were actually discussing this today and added this new article to our FAQs: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/546-do-product-vendors-or-listing-owners-have-a-statistics-dashboard

Hope this helps.

Hi guys,
This theme will be the best wordpress directory theme available .
Need some improvement in terms of SEO.
My suggestion:
1) Will be great if we will be able to create listing pages with the content filtered by taxonomies ( location, category, tag). Example: a page for “Restaurants in Brooklyn with outdoor space” or ” Villa in Costa Blanca with sea view”
Many directory/real estate themes have this feature. A “listing page” template with metabox, like in the pictures below, or a shortcode will be great. This are screenshots from WpResidence and from JavoDirectory:
WResidence:

JavoDirectory:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0uvsj1h9iv0yb1l/JavoDirectory.jpg?dl=0

2) All the listing-tags pages display the same content, that means a lot of duplicate content in the website.( I wrote a comment here time ago but no actions :
All this pages have the same content:
https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing-tag/parking/
https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing-tag/takes-reservations/
https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing-tag/take-out/
https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing-tag/good-for-kids/
...and so on.

:) ... And a “sort by” option ( sort by rating, sort by reviews, sort by date etc.)

The slug for single listing is not at all the best option ( number-street-town-state-zipcode-country-nameofbusiness)

Hi Listify Team,

I’d like to have the mega menu that displays the ‘Listing Categories’ to have a different title in the front-end menu than it has now.

How can I get it to display a different text, such as browse categories?

Thanks for your support.

You can translate one word i.e. “Listing Categories” to “browse categories” using the Say What plugin, more details here: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/283-how-to-change-single-words

Hello again, 1. On listing item photos we see the “favorite” function, does this come with the theme or it is the Bookmark function sold separately on the Job manager site ? 2. There are predefined templates, can I create and add new templates ? 3. is the child theme provided in the theme download ?

thanks in advance for the answer, MB

1. The favorite/bookmarks feature is part of the WP Job Manager – Bookmarks plugin and this plugin is sold here.

2. You can create new templates yes.

3. Yes, the child theme is provided in the theme download: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/280-creating-a-child-theme

Hello,

Theese Deals&Promotions on the demo, can they be filtered by listing “Location” and placed on the page for only one location ? Is there a widget for that ? Ex: Like on your demo home page, when I click San Francisco location, the page opens with list of restaurants for this location, and I would like appear there the list of Deals&Promotions for this location, and later on list of Events (I read in comments you have plans to integrate The event calendar); Do you have a location filterable widget for Deals&Promotions ?

Thank you, MB

Not at this time but this is a great feature suggestion. I’ve gone ahead and added this suggestion to our Listify customer feature request Trello board for further discussions with our team and developers.

I would recommend adding your email to our mailing list or follow us here on Twitter for theme updates & here on ThemeForest for our new theme releases.

+1 for The event calendar

Hey. I am missing Listing Types from Listings menu in Dashboard. I see Listing Categories but not Listing Types. I did a clean install and even imported demo content.

Please advice.

Thank you, Nikolay

Please have a look. bbpress doesnt work with the theme. The root forum is bugged. But other child forums are ok.

http://directory.web-xinh.com/forum/forums/thao-luan-chung/

Listify does not advertise BBPress support currently, see: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1657501/Screenshots/t70h53lygyu5.png

We will add the styling in a future update of the theme, please contact support for help though.
