Looks like you guys have built a great theme. I have two pre-buiyng question. 1 is it possible to style the category page like the mansory full width portfolio style? 2. Is it possible to show a short product descriptions underneath each product in the shop (in your demo only the product name is visible)?
Hello jakobde,
We ‘re glad you like Osmosis!
At this moment, there isn’t the possibility to style the category page as masonry. However, Osmosis provides the masonry style (multiple columns) in the blog element with multi-select option for the categories. About your second request, we let you know that it would require the modification of the WooCommerce plugin and this is out of Osmosis’s scope.
Thank you very much for your interest.
Best Regards.
Thanks for the swift reply. Too bad there is not functionality for my second question. I have noticed though that some themes do offer this functionality by displaying the first part of the product description directly underneath the product in the shop. The problem for us is that we offer products with little visual difference and the product name would not help the customer to distinguish between the product features either ( i doubt that we are the only one with this problem). To solve this we currently use list view as default in our current theme. However our current theme is really old and your theme looks so promising
Anyway please let us know if you would happen to implement the mentioned functionality in future releases and we would definitely try your theme. Thanks, Jakob
Sorry two more questions. Does the theme offer list view of products? And is there any particular reason why this theme is not listed under the commerce category?
Hey Jakob. Thnx for being so candid about the problems you face and your concern about your customers. We share the same concern. Given that, we promise to have a second look at it so that we may provide a solution. We will let you know as soon as we have done sth. We advise you though to keep within range of OSMOSIS’ radar observing our progress the days to come, sharing your concerns and hopefully ripping the many more fruits of our theme.
For your two latest questions: Could you be more specific what do you mean by offering list view of products? It was our conscious decision from the beginning to build a multifunctional and multi-purpose theme of superior aesthetics bearing significant weight through all categories and not just ecommerce.
Thanks for a very through reply. With list view i refer to when the product is shown as list i.e. one product per row usually aligned to the left with the description displayed on the right side of the product.
Hello again Jakob,
Currently, OSMOSIS does not offer what you describe. Notwithstanding that, many considerable updates are forthcoming, woo commerce also included, that will take into consideration your requests.
Thnx again, and cu around
!
Congratulations, it really looks stunning!
Some requests/suggestions:
1. Making the cart fully responsive.
2. The theme will handle the loading of additional styles for bbPress dynamically.
3. Styling is included for the most popular form creation plugins on the market including Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms for quick form setup.
4. Adding swipe gestures support also on galleries for mobile devices.
Thanks!
Thank you very much keyhanjun both for your comments and your suggestions
We’d appreciate it if you could flesh out what you mean step by step:
- Could you pls tell us what’s not fully responsive in the cart? Check the screenshots (iPad and Mobile): http://prntscr.com/5oojig – http://prntscr.com/5oojla .
- We intend to support bbPress in the near future.
- ‘OSMOSIS’ already supports Contact Form 7 and soon Graviry Forms.
- As you may have already noticed ‘OSMOSIS’ provides swipe support in the sliders. Do you mean swipe in the popup window of the galleries?
Thnx and we look forward to your feedback.
We welcome any suggestion helping us getting better and resolving occurring issues.
We’d appreciate it though if you could avoid making comparisons with other authors and sending half-page print screens with their details, as it is bending rules and norms of professionalism and deontology of which we take pains to be very observant. Have you consulted with the author whose work you use in the second print screen?
We understood that, obviously, you have a better alternative in terms of woo commerce, which btw is not the category of our OSMOSIS WP theme; ours is in ‘corporate’.
That being said, we suggest that you should, since you need the right media screen of the cart in the mobile portrait orientation, proceed to buy the theme you consider as benchmark without advertising it within our commentary.
1. already sent you a screenshot
2. Nice
3. Nice
4. Exactly
Awesome, you already fixed the responsive cart problem! Looks way better now!
Just one small strangeness left:
When you already have a product in your cart you can not delete it again via clicking on the “X” sign. Nothing happens then but if you refresh the page (f5) it works fine then.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks!
Tested on a Mac with Safari & Firefox. Sometimes it works with Safari but always not with Firefox. Please have a look if you can reproduce this behavior, thanks!
To be more specific. On Safari if you already have a product in your cart & continue to shop for another item & then add it afterwards, it do not show in the cart. Only the first item is shown. But if you refresh the page (f5) it suddenly appears again.
Maybe it’s a cache plugin issue?
It’s obvious that it ’s a cache issue. You can give it a try now. Thanks!
Nothing changed on my end but it’s obviously a caching problem as you already mentioned. So don’t worry.
Another topic: Menu
Found a problem with the menu animation on Safari (tested on a Mac).
This is how it looks right now:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yjyrp26avkvtz5a/menu_animation_problem.mp4?dl=0Can you reproduce this behaviour on your end? Same happens here on the Photography (Case Studies) style. Hope this will get fixed asap, thanks!
As this conversation is getting too long and totally out of the context of public commentary you are advised to refrain from any further commentary. Envato, by their own initiative, have already removed a comment of yours violating rules.
What you are suggesting has already been suggested way before from our customers and our team has been working towards it. You are not providing any benevolent service, rather the opposite. Even more, since you have referred a certain author in your screenshots your actions are considered suspicious. We make fixes only for our customers. Without further ado please proceed as advised.
Please stop being offensive! Jeez, wake up & stop whining the whole time. These are all pre-sale-questions. I flagged/deleted this comment my self not Envato in favour of your silly complaining to get compared. The whole market is comparison so you better live with it.
Don’t like the trend of authors these days who are so afraid of everything…
Live it up!
Hey mate,
Thnx for your time and diligence. Since when though pre-sale questions include huge screenshots with other authors’ themes without consulting them? These were not questions; just too many remarks about issues most of which we are aware of from our customers. Appreciate some points you’ve made; yes, they are helpful indeed. We could have a proper communication. It’s not about comparison. Np with that at all; it’s how you compare with.
There are rules that we have to follow even in a free and competitive market. One should also spare the preaching about how the market works and what is the trend of authors, unless from a valid position.
You know very well how it works in the public comments area; you are not new in that. You are very welcome to come on board and really help improve a theme that you seem to be quite interested in; that only would be a win-win situation. Continuing like this leads to a dead end.
Take care,
Pheidias
Incredible. Is there anything this theme does NOT have? I’ve got to buy this. I can see this replacing at least 2 of my clients’ existing websites. Great work.
Thank you so much aranhac for your great comments
!
From day one we undertook to build a really Multi-Purpose and as complete as possible theme. We keep on working to bring with the next releases those things still missing.
We look forward to having you and your customers immersed in the OSMOSIS experience!
Hi guys, I really like what I can see so far. I have a few questions before I decide on purchasing or not.
Im currently using X-theme and it’s great but it falls short in a few areas that seem to be included in Osmosis, however I don’t want to buy blindly. I’ve found a theme in the past called Hazel by Qode that looked promising, but the backend/customizer set up was unbearable.
Is your customizer available while viewing the front end? There are no clear customizer images on the product page or the screen shots. It would be helpful to see what can be adjusted by the customizer in the preview or screen shots. Adjusting fonts, colors etc. on the front end as I can do on X is a must. Is it easy to adjust footer font, size, color?
Is it possible to link to a specific VC row in the navigation? For example if I have featured posts in a row on my home page and want to be able to link directly to that row from any other page, can I do that?
You currently use ticksy for support. Do you have any plans on developing a forum and knowledge base exclusively for Osmosis users? It feels good to purchase themes from groups who seem dedicated to developing that theme and extending its features overtime instead of moving on to develop a new theme quickly.
Lastly, I have a suggestion. Why not allow the same grid options for blog post grids as for portfolio grids and vice versa? Be a nice touch for sure.
Thanks, I really do like your theme a lot. I’ve been let down in the past though, so my questions are only based off what I feel I should have asked and didn’t in the past.
: )
Thank you Nathan for your very precise and helpful suggestions. Your approach before purchasing is very wise. We are here to help you make an informed decision.
You can definitely see frontend when you change colors in the customizer. This video might be helpful https://vimeo.com/114178784. You can literally change anything in typography and colors.
Of course you can. We’ve made such an example for you to watch. Just go to page Elements > Call Out ( http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/call-out ) and click on first button ‘Purchase Now’. See how you’ll get to Homepage in the portfolio section under the slogan ‘Time is too valuable to waste’. By all means, you can have the same result with a one button link from the main navigation.
It goes without saying that we’ll do this when OSMOSIS goes stronger; it’s up to the users&buyers and not just us
.
Do you mean adding multi grid layout on blog too? If so, instead of this, blog has large and small media; or you mean portfolio should also have large and small media like the blog?
Thank you so much for your interest in purchasing OSMOSIS and for taking time to make these suggestions. We look forward to be as enlightening as possible for you to make a sound decision and having you on-board
Sent you guys a direct message. : )
You’ll get an answer soon Nathan
Purchased the theme. Best theme I’ve seen. Well done!
Thank you so much for purchasing Osmosis …and for your comment
Just copped it like some latest Jordans!
Thnx a lot prophecyproject for your purchase! Welcome on-board. Cool comments btw! We’d appreciate your 5-stars to get it higher
!
Hello greatives – just checking – is this theme built upon the Quode framework, or is it entirely your own? There are some strong similarities, but also some very cool features.
Hello wern777,
Osmosis is built on it’s own framework (by greatives). Theme options panel are based on Redux Framework and our handcrafted shortcodes(elements) are using the visual interface of the Visual Composer. Could you please let me know which is the Quode framework?
Best Regards.
Thanks – you can see it here : http://demo.qodeinteractive.com/bridge/
Oops, so you mean the Qode team (not Quode), one of the top authors on Themeforest. We simply respect their success story…and their sales of course! Cheers
Yep, sorry about the typo! Great theme you have created
Thank you so much wern777
check your theme in ranking in http://wpthemeranking.com. valid for 30 days

I have a question, are all updates of the plugins avaible (for free) ? If it is so, where can i get the updates? (From your Website? Or du you update the Theme every time?) [Updates from Visual Composer….]
I am interested to buy the theme
It looks great!
Hello Gamernamer,
We provide for free (lifetime) the updates of the bundled plugins via Osmosis’s updates.

Cheers.

Good job
Thank you very much Yangotech
We really appreciate it!
Hi Guys,
Brill theme, just bought for a client of mine and think I will be regularly purchasing for more clients too.
Just a quick one, how do you populate the parralax images? I did an import of the corporate demo and see where we have the text over the parralax section
“just click the button below to start your claim”
http://217.199.187.70/idclaimsuk.co.uk/That’s the link to the site, still getting my head round it, but absolutely love this theme and will letting everyone else know about it too! Easily the best looking theme out there and saves loads of time
Also, if there is a support forum, please direct me to that for future questions if you like.
Good luck with this theme, it deserves to be a top seller!
Hello,

- Click on Edit icon in the row-section you like to add the background. See http://prntscr.com/5nmbrc

Hope this is helpful for you! You can use our Support Forum for any kind of support you need instead of the public comments. We’d be glad to help you.
Best Regards.
Brilliant, it is my first time using VC properly so will spend some time on this. It looks pretty simple once you get your head around it. Also, love that you have styled CF7 too, a lot of work gone into this theme and I hope it pays off for you guys
Thank you so very much aron8778! We would greatly appreciate your 5 stars rating for Osmosis theme …
Amazing , i’ll buy it sure ! but, What about filters for the portfolio section ?
Hello Youssef_Lahraichi,
Could you please be more specific? You can enable/disable the portfolio filters and set the alignment you prefer in the portfolio element. What else would you like to know?
Cheers.
Great then , I thought that there is no way to filter the forfolio content, I can’t see that in your demo file in the F/wide mode, any way … great job ! Congrats!
Thanks…we look forward to having you on board!
Hi,
I like your theme, amazing work! Before I will purchase the theme, I want to know of it possible to put your photo’s in a masonry portfolio format over more than 1 column? Something like this http://cdn4.colorlib.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/aside-masonry-portfolio-theme.jpg (but without space between the images) thanks!
Hello flatwhitedesign and thank you for your comment! Most definitely you can do what you present on the link. Just visit http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/masonry-full-width-without-spaces-portfolio/ and you will see that you can add up to 4 columns without space between the images.
We look forward to having you on-board
!
Thanks for your reply, I saw that format, but that’t not exactly what I mean. Is it possible in a masonry 3 column format to put 1 image over 2 columns?
OK flatwhitedesign! You probably mean the multi grid style which is a variation of the masonry style. Visit this link in our demo and let us know if we are right.
Cheers.
Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for!
Happy to help…!
