Amazing theme ,
I’m willing to buy it for my Publication company website,,
we will show our books covers with some information about them. We can use woocommerce or portfolio for this cause, but my question is:
is there a product or portfolio slider that can show the books in every category ? .. because I want to add a slider for each category..
also, is it possible to remove the shopping buttons like the shopping card button or the add to card button .. because I will just use woocommerce for showing my products .. I don’t want to sell them on the website..

There is a product carousel that you can use that can specify a category and it will show all posts in that category. Outside of that Woo does not offer a category slider, although you may be able to find a plugin that does. You could make one manually though, using the category images and one of our sliders we include, it would just need to be setup that way and not automated.
If you do not give your items a price, then the add to cart button will not show up there.

I am having issues with text being bold when I am clearly making it NOT-bold – have you had any issues with this? I am fully updated and using the latest WordPress version

No we have not, however this is probably due to browser rendering. Check other browsers to see how it displays, the same font can look bold in one browser and not another, it just depends on how that specific browser renders the font.

I went ahead and updated my theme after I noticed that my site wouldn;t allow me to update the edit account settings, or change address..

Yes that should work, and it is working for me when I enter type. Try to clear your browser cache and plugin cache if you are using a cache plugin.

hi there, hope you are well.
three questions:
1. ive used the homepage portfolio template of avada for a site im doing. how do i get the thumbnails of the the portfolio items on the homepage to be slightly taller? at the moment each thumbnail is 221px wide by 161 high and i want to make them 221 high.
2. i also noticed that when i went to crop a portfolio image – and had selected ‘apply changes to thumbnail only’ that the cropping didnt work (on the homepage thumbnail) it just stayed the same. it only worked when i had ‘apply to all images’ selected. the portfolio images are generated through the ‘set featured image’ on the folio item page. im on avada 3.5 – from mid last year – maybe its because i havent updated? or is the ‘featured image’ not the thumbnail?? i tried putting in sizes on the media settings page for thumbnails and that didnt work,and i tried to put in featured image sizes on the folio item page – but that changed the larger version of the image size – not the thumbnail.
3. can i have a homepage where the slider is portrait and takes up the left hand side of the page (the two left columns) and the folio thumbnails are in two columns on the right?

Hi Brooke!
1. When you use “fixed” featured image size the images are cropped to a specified size in functions.php, to modify that will take some custom code adjustments.
However you can set the featured image size to “auto” and it will show the original height of the image instead of cropping them. The “auto” is a new shrotcode option you can use. http://theme-fusion.com/support/documentation/avada-documentation/#page-item-265031
EDIT: you must be on Avada 3.7 or higher to get this.
2. The featured images that are cropped are pre-determined sizes from functions.php so that would need to be changed in that file then each thumbnail regenerated.
3. You could set this up with columns. one 2/3 for the slider, and one 1/3 for the portfolio images.

Is it possible to use both the Fusion Builder and Visual Composer on the same page? I noted above that I use some VC add-ons for a couple of things, but also realize I need to also use: - a before/after zoom or magnify of an image, and - be able to place an image “hotspot” dot on an image and include a popover for that dot.
One other question that I couldn’t find in the support forums. I have a couple of posts that are galleries, but the 2-3 images aren’t necessarily the same size/proportion. What would Avada do with this? I always use a masonry or grid view. My current theme will snap to the new height as it rotates through the images, and adjust the masonry blocks on the fly. I don’t really care if Avada does this, but I’m curious how it would handle this.

It is not recommended to sue two page builders on the same page, to be honest I’m not sure how that will turn out as we’ve never tried it.
For post slideshows, it will not change the height of the slider when different size images appear, however there is a smooth-height option to turn on that will allow the slideshow to adjust based on image size.

how do i upgrade my theme? I think I have version 3.4.3 and it looks like 3.7 is available but under updates is says all my themes are up to date…

1. Not yet, at lease not exactly like that. You can build a process graphic though with columns and other elements.
2. Not this either. Both of these have been requested though and are on our list to integrate at some point. We want to take some time and make them unique for Avada.

Hey I am building a site with your theme which I love !
Question: How could I add a “Click To Call” button that would only show up on the mobile version not desktop.
The button showing up on the desktop version would not serve any purpose.
Do you know what files I would edit?
Any ideas?

Hello, I am thinking of buying this theme. I have tested the demo in my phone and the header does not fit properly on its place, it just go everywhere around. I am on a samsung galaxy S3, android 4.3, native browser. Is there any issue with this theme running in that browser? Thanks

The pricing tables are included with the theme, so the $58 purchase includes them as well as anything else you see on our demo.
Yes you can use Avada without the Shop. The Shop is controlled by WooCommerce plugin so you can choose to not use it.

This is not true. Avada is clean and secure. You must be referring to recent revolution slider exploit which was fixed in Feb 2014 and Avada always included an update for it. You must be using a really old version of Revolution Slider.
Anyways, keeping your themes and plugins updated is very important.
Rest assured, your claim is not true and Avada is 100% safe to use.
