Hi,

just one question, short and simple :-) Do you plan a plugin with all the functions of your theme? It would be great and we could create our own template. Is this in general possible?

Thanks

Best regards Mat

Hi Mat,

We don’t have anything like that planned now or in the future. Just enhancing the features of Listify and extending the functionality of what the theme can do based on our users’ feedback.

Keep in mind, the theme has an extensive list of features already but, it also is built to be used with some already awesome plugins like WP Job Manager and WooCommerce. :)

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Bryan

I would like to do a directory in differents languages. This theme is compatible with WPML ?

Hi Adam,

Please do not reply with the template message telling me to submit a support request. I have multiple times and it’s not being addressed

Sorry to insist here but I’m actually still waiting for reply on the support request (sent twice through your support system) on January 1 and have forwarded multiple times over emails to both you & Spencer. I am not sure why it’s not being addressed considering that it’s now been two weeks. (questions reported below).

2 – I need to add keywords for each listing and make these searchable values. I am already using the suggested paid plugin to add “Amenities” tags, but I need an extra set of keywords a listing can add which are not displayed on the listing page itself (or maybe they could be – I’m open to both options?) but these words should also be searchable from the “WHAT” element of the search form on the homepage. How can I do this?

3 – Have you tested Listify with Yoast SEO (free)? If yes are there any settings which you’ve found conflicting with your code?

4 – When I Load “Categories” from the main menu, it loads a search for that category. Logically, I should be allowed to narrow/filter my search additionally by sub-categories (if available for the specific loaded category), instead these do not seem to show up. Is this a bug or the way it’s been designed (and if yes to the latter, could you consider it for a future update?)

5 – All background images have a gradient added to them and I understand why. (e.g. all listins bkgd images in homepage and on main header of listing page). How can I remove it to show a “clean” image?

6 – On a main listing page there’s the “Listing Owner” widget, which is the only way for a visitor to contact that listing. This module creates confusion to the visitor because it connects a (professional) listed business to the individual who created that listing, and specifically to their strange username, which is not that great… Plus there’s really not much need for a visitor to read about a person’s profile when all they need to know is theoretically on the listing page. I know I can remove the widget directly, but is there any way to replace it with a simple contact form to the owner’s specified email address?

7 – N/A

8 – I noticed that in the HTML for a main listing page it shows a <title> value twice in the header (this is independent of my usage of the Yoast Plugin, as it happens with the plugin installed or not). Could this be a bug, or is there a reason why it’s coded that way?

Lastly I’d like to renew the state of urgency for geolocation discrepancy for non-USA addresses. For Italy, no street number and city are being shown even if these are contained in the ‘location’ field… I can guarantee that this is not standard address layout for Italy (and a bundle of other non-USA addresses) even if WooCommerce says it is…

Thanks again!

Ok thanks.

Uhm – hello Adam? I see every pre-sale question getting answered here… and I still have unanswered support tickets and the (in)famous january 1 support request. That’s 16 days ago… :( Cheers, Christian

Can you please reply to my email?

Cheers! Adam

Help Us Translate Listify!

Do you speak one of these? French, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Spanish or any other language?

We are looking for help translating the Listify theme into other languages, and so far we are making some good progress with the help of the ThemeForest community who’ve purchased Listify :)

Lets get Listify translated into as many different languages as possible so that more people can enjoy using the theme in their native language.

Thanks so much! Adam

Sorry one more question!

How can I add fields to the registration form? I have used the plugin you recommended to set up a separate registration page but I cannot figure out how to add fields.

This is the page: tonicpit.com/click/join-clickability/

I want to add several more fields and drop downs etc. If they can’t display on this page, I’d like them to instead display on the edit profile page http://tonicpit.com/click/my-account/edit-account/ – so they can register quickly with email and password and then fill in the rest of the details via the edit page.

I installed user meta fields but they are not showing at all so I assume the account details are handled elsewhere!

Thanks

I have posted on your forums. Please answer there since you’re online.

I’m answering from mobile using canned responses, its 11pm here sorry our team will answer tomorrow, currently we do not offer 24-hour support, I know it sucks but maybe we can hire someone from Australia so that we are covered 24 hours a day. Know anyone? ;)

Cheers! Adam

Im sure there are plenty of people looking for jobs. If I pay extra for support VIP does that still mean I have to wait? What’s the point lol. Especially if you’re going to tell me it’s 3rd party after i’ve spent several hundred buying all the addons you used and recommended for your theme.

Hey!

Is there a way to always show the secondary menu rather than it hiding on scroll?

Hi, I have the theme on my website I am not sure if I need to update or if after updating the theme I will loose all the work on the website.

So inside WordPress Dashboard> Appearance > Themes I have the following installed: Active: Listify – Child Theme and Listify.

The Child Theme is only active and I get an email from themeforest that an update is available of the Listify – WordPress Directory Theme by Astoundify.

I am hesitant to update wondering if I will loose all the work or maybe break the website.

Please advice. Thank you so much in advance.

Best Regards, Maanu

Hi Maanu,

As long as you haven’t modified any of the parent theme files (the main Listify theme files), you can update with no worries. However, if you have modified the parent theme files, you will need to move those changes to your child theme before updating the theme as a whole.

And, since you’ve already purchased Listify (thank you!), please contact support if you haven’t already. By doing this you are helping us. Hi, Great looking theme and best of luck with sales! I’m considering purchasing the theme and I was wondering if you have any customer urls of the Listify theme being used on the web?

We’re trying to put together a little gallery of users so that we can showcase how Listify is being used but we have nothing prepared at this time. Stay tuned! :)

Thanks,

Bryan

Dear Adam, Dear Bryan

Hope one of you reply to me for my Pre-sale question:

How Will I be able to dedicate this template to be used as fiverr.com

what plugin do I need for this purpose?

Thanks,

The Listify theme is not a fiverr.com clone WordPress theme, sorry! Its a WordPress directory like no other :D

Cheers! Adam

Hello. I have a pre sale question.

Is there a way to display one listing region per page? So for example, if I were to use the “Listify – Page: Image Grid” widget, could I set it up so the results only show the listings from region “a”? Then we could have another page were we would only show listings from region “b”, another for region “c”, etc..

This would come in handy if the page can redirect users based on their geo location.

So the user that is on “a” location would get redirected to the page that is only showing results for listings near that location.

I realize that users can type their address in and pretty much get that feature, but it would be really useful if the site was able to have the search function – but at the same time have dynamic content that would change depending on the location.

TL;DR: I want the user to be able to search, but also be able to automatically see what’s around him, without having to type an address.

Hi there,

Thanks for your interest in Listify!

If you click on the little “target” icon in the location search field, the browser will ask the user’s permission to use their current location. However, the user still has to search after their location is used. Let me know if that’s close to what you’re looking for or if I misunderstood your question.

To answer your other question, yes. You can set up Listing Regions with Listify: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/348-manage-listing-regions

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi,

I have a pre-sale question, can you list listings by price or date posted?

Are you also able to remove the map from the listings page?

Thanks

Hi there,

1) If you use FacetWP you can sort the listings by title/date. But there’s nothing in the theme to sort by price. By default, listings are displayed newest first with featured listings being displayed at the very top (if there are featured listings). More info: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/328-use-facetwp-to-filter-listings

2) Yes, http://listify.astoundify.com/article/533-is-it-possible-to-remove-the-sidebar-map-from-the-listings-results-page

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi, maybe a dummy question… Where do one define the Listify theme language translation of choice? I found my translations almost 100% done in .po/.mo files in Poedit but the site still shows up in English. Is this a setting somewhere in Dashboard or do I have to paste it in a file? With best regards, Arthur

I created a ticket for this. No answer needed ,)) Arthur

We already answered ;)

Hi there,

just wondering if for Listify “WC Paid Listings” and “Subscriptio” is going to be compatible. And is this due to the Astoundify team to make this work, or is it to the plugin-programmer of “Subscriptio”.

I think a lot of Listify users would like to use WC Paid Listings, but the WOO version of the subscriptions add-on costs way to much for most of us.

Thanks

Hi Bryan, Thanks for your reply… But are WC Paid Listings and Subscriptio also compatible? In the documentation of WC Paid Listings there´s written:

Job Package Subscription – A package which lets a user post X jobs each term, and renews. Requires WooCommerce Subscriptions. Resume Package Subscription – A package which lets a user post X resumes each term, and renews. Requires WooCommerce Subscriptions.

so, it requires WooCommerce Subscriptions?? Or will Subscriptio – http://codecanyon.net/item/subscriptio-woocommerce-subscriptions/8754068 – also do?

thanks

Hi there,

Do you have a diagram of the user journey and host journey please?

I am currently looking at developing with the site and need to understand what is in your demo version (mine will have a little more than this in it but it serves as a good starting point.

Many thanks

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Not sure what you’re looking for here. We don’t have diagrams as you’ve described, only the demo and the documentation. Have you had a look at both?

https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/

http://listify.astoundify.com/

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi there, Yes I’ve seen both. Do you have anything on your initial user journey?

Hi Matthew,

No, we do not have any documentation on the initial user journey. Sorry about that.

Thanks,

Bryan

Where exactly is the support forum for purchased clients. I see all the FAQs and instruction guides but I don’t see where to post a question after i log in, which is why I bring my questions here. I followed your directions in adding a button to the single listing hero page, but in order for it to be listing customized, it requires a ‘custom_meta_key’ entry. How do I customize this if i.e., Each listing has a ‘Listing Name’ and is listed at mydomainname.com/listing/’listing_name’, but I’d like the button to link to a booking page per the listing as such: mydomainname.com/listing/booking/’listing_name’

Question: Where exactly is the support forum for purchased clients

Answer: Click on the support tab here at ThemeForest and you will be taken to the support forum

You can also access it via https://support.astoundify.com/

Hi,

In regard to the ‘WP Job Manager – Tags’ plugin is it possible to change what tags can be displayed to end users to filter on?

For example, i might have the following three tags: - Blood Tests - Bulk Billing - Open weekends

But only want the end users to be able to search on the following tags: - Bulk Billing - Open Weekends

I still want to add the tag of – Blood tests to the listing however for SEO and back linking.

Is this possible?

If this isn’t possible with the plugin, how can I just generally add tags to a listing as you would do a standard wordpress post?

Thanks

HI there,

My name is Frederik. I have a couple of questions on your Listify theme. As i want to make a website for hostels/hotels/pensions etc. for one specific country i was wondering the following:

- Can companies (hotel, pension etc) post their company? And if so, can it be limited by country? So lets say a hotel in the Netherlands wants to put it up for my Belgian site, it should not be possible. - How much of listify can be taken out, i like most of the features some i dont see any use for my concept - How easily can i add features for a hotel for instance (i saw ‘Has TV’, ‘Has Parking’) ; i might want to add some more, and maybe take some out - I got basic/medium HTML/CSS skills and basic Jquery/Javascript skills, therefore i can do some modifying, but maybe not too much

Thank you ever so much for answering my questions.

Best regards,

Frederik

Hi Frederik,

This all sounds completely possible with Listify. Take a look at the following articles and let me know if they answer your questions. If not, report back here and I’ll be happy to get everything else sorted out for you.

Limiting regions for Listify:
http://listify.astoundify.com/article/526-is-there-a-way-to-limit-the-regions-locations-shown-on-the-submission-page-menu-and-search-form

Adding your own tags/amenities:
http://listify.astoundify.com/article/347-manage-listing-tags-amenities

And yes, your users will be able to submit their own listings to your site using the submission form: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/submit-listing/

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi,

How can I set up the reviews form exactly as on the demo? I couldn’t find a guide for this settings.http://listify.astoundify.com/article/289-listing-comments I bought all plugins used on the demo theme and activated but I can’t see this settings. The widget Single Listing: Main Content is set already. I only see the standard comments ‘Leave a Reply’ form.

We will reply today.

Cheers! Adam

I see Spencer replied to you today a few times! Great stuff, thanks for using our support portal.

Cheers! Adam

Hi Adam,

Spencer helped to solve the issue.

Thanks
