Hi Peerapong, I have 3 questions: 1. How do I make my logo be in line with the menu titles? 2. What is the default pixel height of the menu banner and where would I change it? 3. How do I change my gallery of galleries into 4 columns of square boxes? It’s currently 3 columns of rectangular boxes.
Please see images and comments here: http://mobiz.bz/q/KSPVC Thanks!
Hi,
1. Provide URL of your site please.
2. Menu height is automatically calculated by your logo height.
3. Sorry, it needs a custom modification. This type of customization is a bit more complex and is not covered under normal theme support.
If you’re interested in hiring a developer for building out this custom page template for you, we highly recommend to check out: Elto

Hi,
After upgrading from 1.7.4 to 1.8.1, contact form is no more working.
What is the best and future safe way to make changes in the theme?
Please login with your purchased account.
I don’t have access to client’s Themeforest account. However, They provided me license code and other purchase detail. I have already sent same to you via contact form on your profile 2 days ago.
Could you please help us in sorting out this issue?
I can provide support only if you logged in with your purchased account.
I don’t have access to their themeforest account. However, I can ask verify purchase by sending license code. Please let me know how we can resolve this issue?
Hi, we’re getting this where the twitter widget should be:
The Twitter REST API v1 is no longer active. Please migrate to API v1.1. https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/overview.
Hi,
Could you send your Wordpress account and FTP detail please. I will have a look.
Great theme. However I seem to have issues with the translation.
I updated the .po file and uploaded this (together with the .mo file) to this location: wp-content/themes/mercury/languages
However no changes are visible.
What could be causing this?
HI,
Provide URL of page which has issue and what’s text you changed please?
Hi,
On this page (https://www.cathyfotografie.nl/mercury/blog/) I changed the read-more button text into Dutch. In the po. file I translated both ‘Read more’ as well as ‘Read More’. As already explained I updated both po. and mo. file in the wp-content/themes/mercury/languages folder.
Please advice.
Marco

Can I have your email to send over these credentials?
Send it using my profile form mail please http://themeforest.net/user/ThemeGoods
The credentials are send using the web form
I found the solution.
I was under the impression that I needed to do the translations within the themes en_US po file. Instead I needed to copy these en_US files and had rename them to nl_NL instead to have effect.
The transalation are being picked up now.
Thanks for the support.
Ok
In need of your help!
The footer on one of my pages is not displaying like all the other footers do on other pages (with the 4 selected footer widgets side by side.) Instead, it has 1 widget on one line, and the other 3 underneath it.
The page content is what seems to be affecting this. As soon as I add any shortcode to the content box, the footer displays the way I’ve described above. It will only display correctly when I remove the shortcode.
I am working on a “page fullwidth” template, and have selected no sidebar. Please advise!
Hi,
Provide URL of page which has issue please.
I’m using one fourth shortcode, but the last fourth has margin on the right. I was watching on screen.css, and there is:
.one_fourth.last { margin-right: 0; }
that I suppose it’s referred to [one_fourth_last], but it doesn’t look to work, I’ve got alway the 3% margin on the last fourth.
Can you help me about?
Hi,
You have to use below code for the last one.[one_fourth_last]...[/one_fourth_last]
I copied and edited the code inside Mercury example website, now everything’s right
Hi

Hi,
It’s using Layerslider plugin which is included in theme.
Theme documentation’s located in your downloaded file from Themeforest Please follow the theme’s instructions in /manual folder it will help you get through all theme features.
In the homepage I’m building I use Layer Slyder, but looks it doesn’t support retina. Is there a way to enable retina support on it?
Thnx
I replaced LayerSlider with the free ver. of MasterSlider that works resizing images too
In Contact Options I’d like to add or change the label to translate in other languages. In the meantime I was trying to rename “Name *” in “Nome *” inside
<label for=”your_name”><?php echo _e( ‘Name *’, THEMEDOMAIN ); ?></label>
but nothing changes when I build the page using “Contact” model
Hi,
Did you translate it using POedit app? (Open /manual/index.html find “translation”) or you can edit PHP file directly too.
Right! I used PoEdit and everything went fine. Thanks a lot.
Hi,
just some thoughts for future versions of Mercury:
) A “Gallery of Galleries Gallery” (aka “nested galleries”). This could be useful if you would like to split up an event into several galleries. So you would have one gallery for the event, that contains just sub galleries. (a feature as seen at the discontinued menalto gallery3)
) A gallery theme where the pitctures on click open in a individual page instead of a lightbox. This page could show image description, meta data (exif, ...) and most important comments (also inspired by menalto gallery)
*) a way to display image comments eg in the sidebar. To promote user commenting and discussions
I know that this are major wishes and I fear that I can’t expect them in the normal update cycle. But I would definitely be willing to buy a mercury styled theme having this additional features
Kind regards and thank you for the awesome theme

Hi Peerapong, I want to create a page with a left side bar gallery. I have created the gallery but struggled to make the text appear on the left of the page. The only way it shows is if I add text to the sidebar widget, but then I can’t make the text into links and also it doesn’t break new lines. This is what I want to achieve: http://joannstokes.com/packages/ but mine just does this: www.kathchen.co.za/packages. How can I convert text into links and insert line breaks? I really hope there is another way of doing this.
Hi,
In text widget, there an option to make new paragraph text. Also to make link, you can use anchor tag http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.asp
Where have I to go to reduce footer height? No theme options I see, where can I go to modify it by code?
Thanks, L.
Hi,
Footer height is automatically adjusted depends on your footer widgets and content.
Help! We’ve been uploading galleries just fine with no issues, but today, it started cropping newly added images funky and not leaving them to their normal dimensions. All the previously uploaded images in the same gallery are just fine, but the new ones are all cropped to squares in the preview! You can see an example of this at http://www.encompassphotography.net/engagements/ . None of these photos are actually square in their original file!
Also, all the Featured Images added starting today are being cropped to landscape even if they are vertical – and this wasn’t a problem before! You can see the crop of the featured image at www.encompassphotography.net right on the homepage under Latest Posts.
Hi,
1. Yes images are cropped to square as you can see on demo site too. This plugin helps you manually cropping. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/2. Yes because it’s fixed size. Your old images don’t get cropped until you run regenerate thumbnail plugin.
I don’t understand – I didn’t run a regenerate thumbnail plugin? How come some of my galleries show the vertical images vertically with no cropping and yet others crop them to square – and they are the SAME layout style for the galleries?
Please see these two galleries for reference: This one is Masonry Full-width and vertical as well as landscape images are NOT cropped to squares – http://www.encompassphotography.net/weddings/ This one is Masonry Full-width but all NEWLY POSTED landscape images are being cropped to square – http://www.encompassphotography.net/engagements/
When you update any new images to Wordpress. Wordpress will automatically generated all thumbnails size (cropping/resizing) so that’s why your old images won’t get cropped.
Hello, is it possible to reduce the space between the top of the footer and the upper material (text for example) inside the footer?
Thanx, Lorenzo.
I did it editing screen.css
Hi,
Provide URL of your site please.
The website is still on localhost. I resolved using widget columns and removing some code from footer.php
Hello,
How SEO friendly is this theme?
HI,
It’s really hard to claim that theme is SEP optimize/friendly since there are many reasons for SEO including content, speed etc.
Hi, Is it possible to create a gallery that doesn’t show up in the gallery of galleries? That’s an very important feature, so I hope the theme does support that?!
P.S. Aside from that, I really do enjoy the theme.
I got curious and solved it myself by just adding an exclude-rule to the page Gallery of galleries (galleries having category “notingalleryofgalleries” will be excluded).
Replaced existing query_post call with: $gallery_args = array( ‘post_type’ => ‘galleries’, ‘paged’ => $paged, ‘tax_query’ => array(array( ‘taxonomy’ => ‘gallerycat’, ‘terms’ => ‘notingalleryofgalleries’, ‘field’ => ‘slug’, ‘operator’ => ‘NOT IN’) ) );
query_posts($gallery_args);
This works fine, but for pages with heavy loads it might not be the best, but for me this works just fine.
Hi,
Please don’t edit any theme code. You can add gallery category page instead.
Setting up Gallery of Categories page
Mercury also has built-in “Gallery Categories” so you can organise galleries into category. When you create a gallery. Look at Gallery Categories box and check category you want to assign the gallery to and click “Update”.
Next is to create a gallery category page. Go to Appearance > Menus. On the left side, you will find “Gallery Category” box (If you can’t see it, click on screen option (top right) and check on gallery categories). Check the category you want and add to menu item. Once finish, click “Save Menu”.
I can’t get my page responsive. What have I done wrong? fotograf.maxbild.se
Hi,
I checked your site and responsive works correctly. May be try to clear browser cache.
Okej. But it doesn’t work in my ipad, my phone or my friends phone. I’d a costumer who complaind today that she coludn’t see the whole page. The right side does not show. The 4:th service doesn’t show and the right side of the meny. The slider works perfectly but not the rest.
I checked it again today with few devices and they work fine all so I don’t think it’s issue with theme.
Thank you for your respond. I think I know now what the problem is. My usual hompage is on www.maxbild.se and that’s when I redirect the page to wp which the problem occurs. I will try to do that in an other way. Du you have any tip on that? Thanks anyway for a great theme and for good support
