Hi mate, I’d like to pick a few things from this theme to use on my existing website http://www.bootstrapthemes.co.uk. Can I do that based on the licence terms? Or do I have to use the theme as it is in it’s entirety? Thank you in advance.
Hey there aledmann!
You can generally modify and change the theme as much as you want. We cannot say for sure if you can, without using the theme, take some stuff and integrate them in another theme. We suggest that you read this link http://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular or ask Envato, since we are not the ones who determine the license.
Cheers mate

Hi, absolutely love the theme – certainly one of the best out there!
I’m not sure if I’m missing something but I can’t seem to find the area where I can edit the main featured section.
I want to add a video and logo like on the V3 homepage version….can you help me out?
Jack
Hello jackcweston,
We ‘re so glad you like Osmosis
The settings for the feature section are just below the page opions, under the title “Feature Section”. Select the video as feature element and define your preferences. We would greatly appreciate if you use our Support Forum for any kind of support you need instead of the public comments. We’d be glad to help you.
Best Regards.
Hi, I have posted on the support forum, thanks
ahhh. I see. It only affects the child menu items.
That’s right oyohan!
What’s the difference in Responsive menu style 1 & 2? I tried them both and don’t see a difference.
Hey oyohan,
Pls check the responsive menu in the main demo http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/ and the one in the photography http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis-photography/portfolio-masonry/? You should resize the window on your screen if you’re not using a mobile device and you’ll definitely see the difference.
Cheers
But that’s not for the main menu, I see the main menu same on both examples. Is that the top bar menu being shown below?
Hey, could you please see and compare these two screenshots: Main Demo Responsive Menu http://prntscr.com/5wmu7w and Photography Responsive Menu http://prntscr.com/5wmue9 . I’m sure that you can easily see the difference now
Love this theme. So beautiful and easy to work with.
Would it be possible in future updates to add support (more integrated styles) for Modern Tribe’s events Calendar? Right now it almost works out of the box but the “events” page doesn’t load the title as “Events”.
Great Job!
Hello CreativeCollaborations,
Thank you very much for your kind works
We will check it asap. Could you please open a icket in our support forum to discuss it with our main developer? Thank you for your feedback!
Best Regards.
Hi,
How do I add the arrow pointing down, like on demo homepage 4?
Thank you
Hello adwebpt,
There is a check box in the feature section settings (Enable Bottom Arrow). Keep in mind that we provide support only in our Support Forum. Thank you in advance.
Cheers.
Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind, sometimes it’s so much easier to use this section for quick questions like this one. Cheers
Cheers
Thank you very much for this great theme!
A little question on video backgrounds: is there a way to have Youtube or Vimeo backgrounds on sections and featured slider?
Thanks!
Hi dmgitalia!
Thnx for your purchase and your great comments
Unfortunately, you cannot have YouTube or Vimeo videos as background on sections. But you can have them as a feature using the Revolution Slider.
Kind Regards.
P.S. We would greatly appreciate it if you use our Support Forum for any kind of support you need instead of the public comments. We’d be happy to help you.
Thank you and sure, the next support questions will be posted in the support forum. One last thing, are you planning to add vimeo/youtube backgrounds in the near future?
Be sure that we ‘ll do our best! Thank you
Love the new update. In the new v6 of the home page backslide. Can you add buttons to that? Is there a way of seeing how that page is made without importing the demo content? ( I have an existing site)
Thanks a lot! Of course you can add buttons as well as all the settings of the feature slider including the backslide effect. You can see how all these worked with the new update.
Cheers!
Where can I see a demo of what a simple single post looks like in the new update?
Hey oyohan!
Thanks for keeping track with Osmosis updates. We have not forgotten of you at all. We have just activated the post style simple; it’s on and you can see it. In the backend you go from theme options to single post to post style to simple.
Cheers:)
Hello:
Very, very nice theme.
1)Have you left the “guts” of Visual Composer alone? There are a few features I’d like to add through Visual Composer Ultimate Add-ons or something like that. http://codecanyon.net/item/ultimate-addons-for-visual-composer/6892199?WT.oss_phrase=&WT.oss_rank=13&WT.z_author=BrainstormForce&WT.trending=trending&WT.ac=search_list
2) Built in vertical tabs (tours)?
3) I use a related post module on a couple of my sites. I only see an example of this at the bottom of some of your blog posts. Any other examples? Or can you set this to just include a list of headlines/excerpts and hide the thumbnail image?
Thanks!
Hello cbmatthews and thank you very much for your comment!
1) OSMOSIS uses a VC that preserves 90% of functionality and features (only a small percentage is handled by OSMOSIS for technical purposes). OSMOSIS’ elements are especially handmade for the theme’s preferences and they harmoniously use the amazing visual interface of the composer; hence, even if we don’t support Ultimate Add-ons at the moment we believe that what is on will have you covered.
2) There are no vertical tabs (tours) but we plan to include them.
3) Related posts become on/off (global option in the admin panel) and have the style you see right now. Your suggestion about a second style of Related is very good—only with post title and excerpts. We bookmark it for a future release.
Thank you and we look forward to having you on board,
Team Greatives
Thank you for your very prompt response. It looks like you already have quite a few very positive and loyal owners of Osmosis.
1) My question about your VC was worded poorly. I like what you’ve done with the styling on your VC elements. However, I use my site to teach classes and sometimes have a need for some goofy “addon” things like flip icon boxes and stuff to ask questions and temporarily hide the answers, and a few other things. So should any of your modifications of VC prevent the installation of additional modules created by a 3rd party. I know you can’t support those, but some developers tweak VC so much that everything breaks when other items are installed. Comment?
2) I also use another 3rd party addon that lets me add a different “related posts” function as just a list. I’d prefer not to do so, but many of my posts are class notes and don’t contain images. This can cause an aesthetic problem with some of the related post features as alignment is either goofy or the image creates a gray box with ”?” on it if the post contains no feature image. Nice to see you might consider an alternative method for these.
3) I’ll throw something else out there. I have a lot of student projects I display in portfolios or galleries. I like how you’ve set up your portfolios. Unfortunately I often have to use another 3rd party plugin that allows what I’d consider a truer masonry output where the proportion of the image is maintained. Unfortunately I can’t crop most of their work to one of 2-3 fixed proportions. Although your options look much more robust than most other themes, Id still have to rely on Essential Grid for right now. Hope you consider another option at some point.
4) Last pre-sale question/comment. I dump a lot of videos into portfolios, posts, or some other content box. Do you utilize some kind of a lightbox or modal window to pop them open to a larger size? I don’t really want someone to leave the site to view them on YouTube, but viewing at a 200-300 pixel width is just too small.
Thanks. Looking forward to finding a good project to trying out Osmosis.
Hello cbmatthews,
Sincere apologies for the delay.
It’s really exquisite how much density there is in your comments as you exhibit in-depth know-how about WordPress themes and issues that could be tackled in order to optimize and customize their content.
We found very intriguing what you ‘re currently working on with your classes. We tried to see how we could adjust all your suggestions with Osmosis but we finally concluded that even though some of them would be great to consider in the near future, at the moment, it would be at least disconcerting to proceed with such a personalized customization for the integrity of the theme. Notwithstanding, what you suggest is really original and we already have noted some paths to work it out for a future theme.
Thank you for your feedback and your patience,
Pheidias
Thank you for your response. Of course I’m always looking for my “ultimate” theme, and that would require a ton of luck or customization. I still very much like many of the features you’ve designed and coded.
So last pre-sale question for now: 1) Again, much of the customization I already have to do relies on using other Visual Composer add-ons of some type or another. I know you can’t be responsible for supporting a 3rd party, but do you believe I could add others to supplement what I’m looking for, or do you believe there’s something about your design which would prevent their installation. I want to use your modules – just add a couple that I’m used to using.
2) Traditional breadcrumbs? It seems like every one of your demo pages is using a fancy title integrated with the header. Would like to have a plain title bar, perhaps subhead, and show breadcrumbs.
Thanks. You guys show a ton of promise!
Hey cbmatthews!
1) As it seems, you won’t have a problem, even if, like you said, we are not responsible for supporting a 3rd party. 2) We do not provide breadcrumbs in Osmosis but we have it tested with a plugin in order someone—with our help—to use breadcrumbs.
Thnx a lot for your comments
Team Greatives
Hi, Just a note to say that I absolutely love this theme! I’ve bought countless themes over the years but seldom did I found one which has all the treats of a great theme: 1. easy customization, right balance between “you can do everything but at your own risks” and “only the font color can be changed” 2. unique layout design with nice header supporting videos and images 3. amazing fast and helpful support 4. clean coding, almost AA speed grade 5. lightweight
I really wish a long life to Osmosis!
Hey nidrig!
We are still speechless and humbled by your great comments and your review. It really means a lot to hear all these meaningful comments from someone who’s been around the market quite a while! This is what puts more fire in our belly to work even harder and live up to yours and all customers’ expectations.
Thank you very much nidrig,
Team Greatives
Hi there, is there any way how to use nexgengal galleries and albums in see them in great osmosis design?
Thanks alot! Milan
Hi Milan!
Thnx for considering Osmosis as a great design to develop your ideas. As regards the nexgengal and albums, we let you know that we have not tested compatibility yet in terms of css issues that might arise; this is something that all authors have to do first before using nexgengal as problems might come up.
Having said that, we believe that Osmosis galleries’ potential covers your needs more than enough to consider adding the nextgen plugin for galleries. That together with Osmosis superior aesthetics (you’ve already noticed), incomparable customizability, and last but not least—as you may see yourself from the reviews—our second to none customer support, are guarantees to build a unique website to stand out from the crowd and elevate your profile to your customers.
We look forward to having you on board Milan

Hi, I bought the theme because I really like the home page: http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/home-v6/ How do you import the V1,2,3,4,5,6 version of the home page? When I import I only see V1.
Hi marke_ting
Thank you very much for your purchase!
Because homepage versions from v2 to v6 have been created after Osmosis’ latest update, they will be added on the importer with the next update very shortly.
If you are in a hurry though, we could arrange something for you: we have built an XML file just for importing these homepage versions till the coming update. Therefore, please open a ticket in our Support Forum and we’ll guide you through.
Thnx and welcome to Osmosis,
Team Greatives
Thanks for your quick reply! I have submitted it and hopefully can receive the xml to import it. Thank you!
If you are reading this and considering on getting this theme, stop thinking and buy it. Their customer service is great. They replied in less than 30 minutes (of course I know it might not be always be this fast) but I just had to say how impressed I was.
Hallo, noobie here
I’m about to purchase this theme, first time using Wordpress in general and installing a theme, so I’m quite fidgety about it all, but been reading comments and I think I will be fine.
Is there any form of real-live support, like a number to call, or someone to chat with if I need too?
Thanks for any help!
Hello gsa_admin,
Thank you very much … for buying OSMOSIS
Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through all steps. We’ll be waiting in the Support Forum from now on to reply to your requests.
Welcome on board and look forward to supporting you all the way through!
Regards.
Hi there !
This theme is fabulous! I am really impressed
Just a few pre-purchase questions:
1) Can I have the navigation menu centered?
2) Can I get images to appear in the search results?
3) Can I display blog posts in a portfolio, so that the users can filter the content?
4) Is a child theme included?
5) Can I upload a custom favicon?
6) Can the layout be boxed?
7) Is there a shortcode for latest posts specifically?
Thank you !
Hey manigazer!
We are so glad you like Osmosis
1) We do plan to provide centered menu soon.
2) We will consider your suggestion for updates to come.
3) Yes, you can display any element you wish in the portfolio.
4) Yes, of course the child theme is included.
5) Sure you can upload your custom favicon.
6) No, the layout cannot be boxed.
7) The blog element makes it possible. Notice that there is the custom latest posts widget as well.
Look forward to having you on board!
Cheers.
Hey guys, thank you for the quick reply! Can’t wait to install the theme.
hi, I can’t install this theme, can you help me?
Hey publidata!
Thanks for your purchase. Of course we will help you. Just open a ticket in our Support Forum and we’ll guide you through all steps.
Cheers
done, thanks
I’m starting to dig in to this theme and am loving a lot of the features and elements. I know the theme just launched, but I think there are a couple of things that’d really help expand the usefulness of Osmosis.
Default Image – Featured Header Sections
Could you look at adding a default image background for the feature sections? (See image) It’s great having the default color and I know you can update each page/post individually, but it’d be wicked-awesome if we could set the image by default.
Safe Button – Custom Icons & Links
The safe button is an awesome idea. However, it’s limited by the few options. It’d be great if we can add our own links & icons to have displayed in this area.
Default Sticky Header Height
I know I submitted a ticket and you were quick to reply with the custom CSS to achieve a custom height for the sticky menu, however, it’d be awesome if this was an option in the settings.
Again, loving the theme and see some awesome potential for this to be one of Themeforest’s top sellers!
Hello JMichaelBrowning!
Thank you very much for your purchase, your great comments and very original and creative suggestions
Let’s take them step by step:
1. Default Image—Featured Header Sections. It is in our intentions to add a default image background for the feature sections but we need time to test it.
2. Safe Button – Custom Icons & Links. We’ve considered for some time how to expand its usage, but during manipulation technical and functional issues came up right away and we had to give it a no-go at that point.
3. Default Sticky Header Height. Obviously you mean the ‘shrink’ sticky menu where indeed the initial height is reduced half-size. Nonetheless, there are three different styles you can add (simple, advanced, shrink) or ‘none’.
Yes, we hope that with yours and other users’ help (and feedback like that) to elevate Osmosis where it deserves to be. Stick around!

Anyone know how to import the dummy data? Im having a hard time doing it on this theme
Hey sammieblackmon!
Dummy data import should be a ‘no sweat’ process. If you still face problems importing it we would appreciate it if you could open a ticket in our Support Forum and we’ll take care of it asap.
Cheers
I love almost everything about this theme except the large post titles. Is there any option to remove that with a more traditional blog design? If not – then is the height adjustable?
Hi oyohan!
Thanks for you comments! We are here to help you love completely everything
Do you mean something like http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis-corporate/post-with-single-image/? You can change height, fonts, and background color from the options panel and bring everything to your taste.
Customizability is incomparable in this theme and we believe that you will find many more user-oriented surprises when you download the full package of Osmosis.
We look forward to having you on board Osmosis,
Team Greatives
Yes, but can that entire section be removed? The teal background and Post Title?
Not at the time being. Instead of removing you may use in the background the same color with that of the body and have an integrated effect. We let you know though that what you’re suggesting will be included in a forthcoming new blog structure where the post title will be removed and we’re currently working on.
Thnx for your interesting ideas!
Yes, this theme would be perfect if it had a more traditional blog post structure. Title, author info and featured image. The way it is now is too distracting. Please let me know when this becomes available.
Are we supposed to purchase Visual composer separately?
Hey stueynet!
Visual Composer is among the required parts of the theme and included within; so, you’re not supposed to purchase it separately. To find it follow the path: osmosis > includes > plugins > js_composer.zip. You should notice though that you have license to use VC only for Osmosis not for other purposes.
