Help Us Translate Listify!
Do you speak one of these? French, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Spanish or any other language?
We are looking for help translating the Listify theme into other languages, and so far we are making some good progress with the help of the ThemeForest community who’ve purchased Listify
Lets get Listify translated into as many different languages as possible so that more people can enjoy using the theme in their native language.
Thanks so much! Adam

Please don’t hesitate to provide us with feedback on features you’d like to see as we want to listen to our users and give them what they want if there is a large enough demand for it.
Cheers – Adam.

Hi Adam and Spencer Great Themes Thank you for your replies to my previous questions I really like the look of the listify have to make a decision today I have been looking and researching all templates and yours is by far the one that stands out for us looking since November 14 and then marketify came out and we were looking at purchasing so the dilemma we have had because your themes are so cool have been deciding between both for two months. I am a newb to wordpress but I would like to buy today do you have any discounts on offer with Listify ? How easy is it to install and do you have video tutorials to walk you through set up installation ? your support looks impressive Best Chelsea
Hey there Chelsea,
We have a coupon for plugins sold via http://Astoundify.com but no discounts on the theme as Envato/ThemeForest.net controls the pricing and does not give us the tools to run promotions.
The theme is simple to setup we have details here: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/236-installing-demo-content should take less than 10mins to setup.
Cheers! Adam
Hey, this looks like almost exactly what I need! Just want to check though, is it possible for the person listing a product/business to charge right on the site. Say for example the site was offering tutor services. The tutor pays my company $10/month for the listing and then they list their services for $50. Can we take payment on behalf of the tutor through Listify?
Thanks
Hey there,
Sure. Please see: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/554-how-do-i-charge-a-fee-to-publish-a-listing-on-my-directory-listing-site

If I have an old version. How do I update it to the latest version?
Thanks,
Rahul D
Hey there,
Did you purchase? I don’t see this badge on your comment
Cheers! Adam
Yes, I didnt but I had hired a freelancer sometime back, he had purchased it. However we have parted ways and planning to get the development inhouse.
Hello, I have some questions for the theme functions.
1. ads on different listing, In listings page, I want to show advertisements on free owner’s package and disable ads showing on featured or paid owner.
2. In product page, it is kind of unprofessional to show users/visitors to see my pricing list/package on the woocommerce shop, so I would like to hide listing package from customers, but show only to employer.
3. Under Products>Product Data – External/Affiliate Product>General>Button Text, I would like to let my users to click on the button and the page will open in new tab instead of jumping the link on the same page.
Is there any way to modify these setting?

Thanks for your time! Is it possible to remove the search form on the home page and only display the back image? And, is it possible to replace it to only one search field that searches for tags? Thanks!
Hey there,
Yes you can customize the search fields by using the FacetWP plugin and change what search fields are displayed on the home page: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/329-use-facetwp-filters-on-the-homepage-hero.
Cheers! Adam
Not getting my question answered.
I Have sent an email reply to the ticket and have not gotten an answer past 4 days :
I have Installed Both WC Subscriptions and WC Paid Listings I need the exact directions to recreate the DEMO page when the user goes to list a listing and gets greeted with the choice of a subscription.
I am at a standstill with this theme and its very limited documentation regarding the added PAID features.
Please take the time and Answer this question .
Thank You.

Hi, this is a great theme with a lot of features!
All I want to achieve using this theme is something like Kijiji listings. Instead of postings Vendors people would be posting Products. But im not trying to make it an ecommerce site where you actually buy/check out. I just want it like Kijiji so people can view the products and contact the seller if need be.
ex. (http://www.kijiji.ca/b-ipod-mp3-headphones/gta-greater-toronto-area/c767l1700272)
I feel like this theme would work out perfect, especially if we set to view all listings in a list format instead of a grid.
Only thing I would want to add is to 1) display a $ Price beside the 5 Star rating on All Listings page 2) display a $ Price somewhere (maybe a right sidebar widget on top of the Author widget) on Single Listing page
would this be a difficult customization?
thanks in advance
Hey there,
This theme is not for creating a site like Kijiji. I think you are looking for a classifieds theme?
Cheers! Adam
i saw on a comment above that you will be adding classifieds soon, do you have a time frame? also I dont see what the difference between this site vs kijiji other than your listings dont have a section for prices? Can you just tell me if its possible to add price to display thanks
Hey there,
You can add price display yes, create a new field on the submission page using the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin.
Cheers! Adam
I would recommend adding your email to our mailing list or follow us here on Twitter for theme updates & here on ThemeForest for our new theme releases.

This site has everything except that the homepage is so great. I wish it was more customizable based on the user location.
Hey there,
We are working on regional/city/category pages that will display content such as recent listings in that region/city/category, recent deals/promotions in that region/city/category, recent reviews in that region/city/category and a few other data points, its going to be great!
Cheers! Adam
Hi, I have ploughed through the documentation but haven’t been able to get a straight idea of whether Listify is for me.
I am in the process of developing a directory/community for professional services; individuals (or groups of individuals) who sell their skills to companies who browse the site.
I already bought one theme and hesitate to buy another until I understand the basics that I need will be catered for.
The basic structure
Categories
The listing individuals and groups offer services across a number of categories.
This means that it is meaningless to offer one list of high level categories which these people would assign themselves with when they list. (As agains the tangible world of cafes, restaurants, hairdressers and the like.)
I would like to offer 4 different category sets: each set as important as the other: Topics (which can be a long list), field and subfield of background (e.g., design & business design), methods (this can also become a long list; e.g., workshop facilitation, public speaking…) and location at closest city level rather than exact address.
Organisations looking to find the correct person (or group) should be able to search/select dimensions across each of these category sets and the map should be able to alter based on the selections made.
The clients come from across the globe. For this professional field location is of interest but it is not the main thing. I would like to offer location and part of the listing but if people wish to show themselves as globally available they can.
I would like to be able to make money in many ways: Advertising on many pages including non-paying member pages Subscription to list – one free level and then packages with features of value Event listings
The listed members should be able to create, edit and delete their profiles without going to WP backend. They should be able to add images to their profiles. They should be able to blog from their accounts as well as send their blog short links to social media.
Can you offer these features? Do you have some examples of how people have designed their professional services directories?
Your help in answering these questions is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards, Dominique
Hey Dominique, thanks for checking out Listify!
You can make categories multi-select instead of a drop-down where you have to select one when using the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin.
You can set listings to not be assigned to a regions/city/place, see: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/519-does-the-listify-theme-allow-non-location-based-listings
You can use Listify to monetize your site in many different ways i.e. banner ads, premium/free listings, subscriptions or one time payments to list on your site etc.
Management of the listings and profiles is all done on the frontend and your users/customers are never shown the ugly WordPress backend, not extra plugins are necessary apart from https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-dashboard-access-for-non-admins/
You will need to run a multi blogging plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-frontend/ for creating blog posts on the frontend.

Thank you very much Adam. Bought it
and getting set-up.
Hi there,
Pre-sale questions (I have asked questions before, but you did not reply)
1. On demo, I only see category of business but there is no category of location. Is it wright, we don’t need to create location because of using google place plugin?
2. On menu “browse categories” only shows main categories. Could it apply for sub-categories too?
3. Will Listify include a MegaMenu built into the theme (for category & location) which can be seen as large menu
4. Can we create more than 3 packages/plan (as we see on demo only 3)
Thanks
Hey there,
1. You can create category of location using https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager-locations/ please see: http://listify.astoundify.com/category/223-wp-job-manager---regions to organize your listings into regions/city/places.
2. We are adding sub categories support in a future theme release.
3. Soon you will be able to make a Mega Menu out of any links, category, location in a future theme release.
4. You can make unlimited pricing packages and they will stack down the page instead of vertical.
Cheers! Adam
I’ve been considering your theme for a new project I am working on in my spare time, and I have a question.
I noticed that the listing page has a pretty large image across the top, which I like, but what if the user doesn’t have an image, or doesn’t have a high res image? How does it handle that? Does it just stretch out the image making it look like junk, or does it compensate in some manner?
Hey there,
It currently just displays the image full-width even when you have not uploaded a high-res image. So it will look pretty pixelated if your listing owners have not got decent looking images, if they want their listing page to look decent they should invest in a decent photo i’m guessing.
Cheers! Adam
This is true, but perhaps this should be a feature for a future update..just the ability to set it to not stretch the images if they aren’t big enough. Lots of small businesses at least in my area don’t have 1080P photographs.
True, sounds like a good idea. I’ve gone ahead and added this suggestion to our Listify customer feature request Trello board for further discussions with our team and developers.
Cheers! Adam
Hey there,
I’ve sent you an email.

Hi,
I want to build a listing web site for cars, real estate etc with specific page listing for each category with custom filters for each main category having different post meta.
1- is possible to add custum fields for each category.
2- is possible to build custom filters including custum fields for each category.
Thanks
Hey there,
Sounds like you need the FacetWP plugin to create custom filters for categories and WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin to create custom fields.
Cheers! Adam
Hi, firstly I just want to say thanks for this awesome theme!
Secondly, I was just wondering, is it possible to have a slider on the homepage behind the search form – so that the image in the background is sliding, but the form is still visible?
When I enable a slider plugin and add the slider shortcode, it seems to disable the search form.
Thanks again!
Thanks for loving Listify! We haven’t yet added a slider with a search option. This will come in a future release.
