I have been unsuccessful installing the brooklyn theme on wordpress 4.1. When I upload the zip file it appears to begin loading, but then I get an error message. This has been happening for two days now.
I contacted wordpress.org support and they told me that it was a theme issue. Please help!
Also, when I got to the united themes support forum and put in my purchase code it’s telling me that it’s already in use and to “contact us” which I am unable to find a contact method from your website.

The error message is a page load error stating the the connection has dropped. I’ve tried loading with chrome, i.e. explorer, and safari… here is the message copy and pasted….
Safari can’t open the page “www.minteez.com/wp-admin/update.php?action=upload-theme” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.
I’ve gotten this for 3 days now. I’ve never had this issue in the past. I did recently upgrade my hosting account with GoDaddy. I recently upgraded to their cPanel hosting platform and in doing so I backed up all my websites and I am now trying to re-load the themes in order to get them up and running again. Could this be causing the issue?

Hello!
The issue is on the godaddy side of things and not the theme. Apparently something in the theme is “against godaddy rules” and isn’t allowing the theme to process. Once I extracted through the file manager and FTP, theme is working flawlessly. Unfortunately it eliminates the ease of using the wordpress installer, but none the less still works. Thanks for the quick replies!

I purchased the theme a few days ago. It’s been great, but I only have one issue, when I open my website, the Brooklyn logo always pops up first, and then the website opens. I don’t know how to change that.
I’d like to either remove it or substitute it for my own logo. How do I do that?

there is an option to upload your own logo into your installation. Under “Appearance > Theme Options > Advanced > Preloader”. Hope this helps.

Been having problems with jquery inside gravity forms with this theme. Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘flexAnimate’ of undefined It has been happening since I upgraded the theme. Hello, I’ve demo importer 9. I change the hero style for the eight like brooklyn demo 3 but how do you make the lines thinner? (top and bottom).
I would like the same style “hero style eight” for About, Our Story etc with the lines thinner too. For About page I choose Hero / Styling and style eight but it doesn’t work. No change.

no that’s not possible in this case, bundled sliders need to be updated with a theme update. Means you have to wait until we update our theme in order to get the latest plugin version. There’s not way around.

Hi there, I currently use your theme and I was just have a couple of questions about the blog page.
1) Is there a way to just show excerpts of the post on the main blog page and have users click through to read more?
2) Is there a way or are you planning to bring out any layout variations for the blog page? A masonry grid layout for example.

as already stated, you say you have 12 theme options but after installing I do not see how to change the look. Please advise as my client has bought your theme and I’m installing it for her. I do not have support access because I do not have purchase info. I just need one simple thing, how to change template design which isn’t in your documentation.
Only verified customers are legit for support. At least you need to contact your client and ask for the key to register in our forum.

so answering how to change a template is considered support? you take 24 hours to reply rather than just answering a question that isn’t answered in you user guide. if anything your user guide sucks. I will not be buying your templates and will ask the client to send the required information so I can wait another day for a response.

so what if a designer buys a theme for a client and then screws the client leaving the client to find another designer to finish the site. The client never got the license in the first place and now the new designer is sol for support. what happens then?

so you think that we are liable for other people actions? Sorry but we are definitely not. Your Client has to take care of this licenses not we. While this describes a different situation compared to yours, the fact of the missing key is still the same. No Key = No Support – nothing more to add here.

Further to my earlier query, it’s interesting to note that on one of our partner websites, we are using fullscreen video whch does play fine on mobile devices, even down to Galaxy S4 Mini…
it’s obviously a shame about the video background technical issues when using mobile devices as this is precisely the audience I am looking to interest in a new product.
I presume therefore you have the tools built into theme options to turn on, or turn off certain elements when using mobile devices. Scope then to add a large video player generally in the fading titles that cover the video in computers and the beach in mobiles?

yes it’s a shame but nothing we can solve as long as the manufacturers of these devices change something. However yes we have controls to display or hide certain elements, this can be a CSS or a direct PHP. But I’m not sure what you mean with this sentence:

Hi UT, I meant where in the demo you have the large text (the titles that change), could this be swapped for a video player presumably using controls so that mobile users woulds till get video. Eg. laptop/desktop background video with titles, tablet/mobile background image with video player. See below, I thought this was interesting in another websites where the video is playing in the background, and doesn’t seem to affect performance.

while the hero at the top of the website is an animated image, the video in the middle of the web page does not play, because as expected the mobile device ( in my case an android device ) does not allow auto play. So while I can see the play button I can’t activate it because it’s a background video.
