it would be ok to have it white if this is more easy? thank you very much!
Hey! Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:
#header-outer, #header-space {
display: none!important;
}
Having problems with Nectar Slider photos adjusting on iPhone.
Have updated to most recent version of theme. Have also tried changing to fullscreen and full-width settings.
Here is my website: http://www.themindofmark.org/photography/
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey MarkDee – do you have the flexible height option activated for them?
Yes, I do. Are there other options that should or should not be selected?
That should be all that is needed as long as the row settings are good and a height is supplied – could you kindly open a ticket in regards so I can take a look? https://themenectar.ticksy.com/
Hi,
How do I stop the home slider from automatically reducing in size when I scroll down the home page. I want it to remain the same size.
Kind Regards
Hey – you can disable the parallax effect from the Nectar Slider inside of the element options window within Visual Composer. Unfortunately the Home Slider doesn’t allow for this currently
Are you considering this option for Home Slider in future? Thanks
Hey, most likely not since the Nectar Slider offer every feature the Home Slider does – the Home Slider hasn’t new features in a while and is mostly just kept around for legacy users
Hi, is it possible to password protect the galleries? Thanks
Hey – are you talking about just the gallery element itself or a page that contains a gallery?
The actual galleries. As I want to create client galleries where they are supplied with a password to enter and view their photos. Thanks
Hey again – as of now this wouldn’t be possible without some custom development unfortunately
Hello,
Excellent theme! I’ve tried changes the sizes for my typography (using the salient theme tab > typography), but it seems like the size is not working or having an effect on “Heading 2”.
How do i fix this?
Hey! Are you using a current release of the theme? If so could you please share your URL in regards so I can take a look
I’ve updated the theme and i think it fixed it! Thank you!
Cheers
I liked using the theme so much at work that I bought a license for myself, but I cannot install it. Whenever I try to ‘Upload New Theme’ to wordpress, it says that the install faled. I even tried redownloading the theme and it still did not work… Why is this happening?
Hey – have you tried uploading in manually via FTP? There might be an upload limit size wise on your server that’d smaller than the theme
Hi. I uninstalled BuddyPress and tried with UserPro instead. But I believe there must be some conflict with Salient?
The plug-in kills my site, and I have to manually remove the Plug-in from FTP, as it like totally screws up everything. I had the same experence when trying to install the Visual Composer Plug-in “Templatera”.
Any suggestions?

Hey Peter,
Have you tried to post this on there forums since the error is coming from inside the plugin itself?
Cheers
Sorry – got response from them – it was their fault. The other day I also had an error which was alike, when trying to work about with Templatera. I thought it was a theme-issue.
Glad you sorted it out
Hi! I have a question regardin blog module in Visual Composer. Is possible to specify an offset for posts? In example, If I have a category with 10 post I want to show only post #02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10 [cause first post is also shown in a different module]
Thank you! Vito
Hey,
As of now that wouldn’t be possible without modding the portfolio-shortcode.php file located in the nectar/tinymce directory
Cheers
Prebuy question, is it possible to change the title in the slider to a logo instead of text?
Best, David
Hey,
Yes – you could add a img tag into the caption field on the slider
Cheers
Suggestion: after having worked with your theme for more than a year, I noticed that I always miss an easy option to adjust the spacing between the widgets in your sidebar.
All my widgets are all cramped together, and I have to, manually, either insert a shortcode or hardcode the CSS to make space between the widgets.
I believe this should be an easy-fix for you, eh?
At least, create a DIVIDER widget so I could do this manually in widget-area.
Thank you so very much and enjoy your weekend in front of the keyboard, making my wish come true
Cheers
Peter
+ one more thing: regarding dividers, I have always missed a right/left/center alignment option of the divider-bar. Cos otherwise ill need to create a row only for the divider to force it centered, or use short-code instead
Hey Peter,
Thanks for the suggestions – if you need css for this in the meantime let me know
Cheers
Hello Everybody.
Firstly, thanks for the theme and your constant work. Its a joy to use and our customer feedback has been great.
I am trying to implement the same category links as the Ecommerce Demo theme.
http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-ecommerce/Unfortunately mine looks like this, I cant seem to get rid of the borders.
http://www.nomadessentials.com.au/Thanks in advance.
Dean
Hey Dean,
Are you referring to the 4 column image links under the slider in that demo page?
Cheers
@snapbar
Don’t know if there’s an option somewhere to do that but if not, you can either go edit the template file or hide it with CSS.
.vert-center p { display: none !important; }
Will do the trick!
Hey – thanks for helping out snapbar zxjay!
Hello,
Quick question. Is there a way to remove the date on the portfolio overlay on an image? (http://thesnapbar.com/venue-partners/)
Or to change it to text?
Thanks,
Joe
Hey Joe,
You can disable that via your portfolio options tab in the Salient options panel
Cheers
Ok, so I don’t quite know what’s happening here but I have tested this on two separate instances of Salient theme (One before latest update) and when you turn mobile data on (not WiFi) on Android phones, the site doesn’t load properly at all!
Have not tested this with iPhones but the whole site glitches out and doesn’t load anything past the nav bar. When you press the Nav Bar mobile menu, nothing happens!
Not sure if this has come from the latest WP 4.1.1 update or if it was always there, as I hadn’t tested the site on mobile data on a phone previous to that.
Have just tested it on the latest Salient version and it also does not load the mobile menu on a mobile at all!
Hey again,
Could you please share your URL in regards?
Cheers
Anyone else tested their site on mobiles since the Salient update and now Wordpress update?
Seems not to load under the nav bar for me on a Samsung S5 but loads ok on my LG G3? but still testing.
Hey,
The last Salient update was only minor bugfixes with WooCommerce nothing else was changed – could you share your URL so I can take a look?
Cheers
Hi ThemeNectar ,
How would one create a custom font for the copyright text.
Currently I have the following css to change size, but I’d also like to change font to Helvetica Neue.
footer-outer #copyright p {
font-size: 13px!important; }
Also a second inquiry related to my previous unanswered question as per below:
Hi Salient
Excellent theme. I have a question in regards to our site: sonderdesign.com
I would like to push the header logo to be in line with the left margin of the copyright text at the base / also in line with the left margin of the text.
I have tried the following code but padding certain pixels doesn’t keep them in line if the internet explorer window changes size.
body #header-outer[data-full-width=”true”] header > .container, body #header-secondary-outer[data-full-width=”true”] > .container { padding: 0 330px !important; }
Is there any way I can line them up automatically? Thanks
fserram PURCHASED 2 days ago Flag Thanks, that has correctly alligned the header logo. What would I have to amend to ensure the margin of both the content and the header logo is wider? ThemeNectar
The header using full width should already be near the edge of the screen regardless of screen size – are you just trying to make the content area larger? Default-user
Hi, I’d like to increase the margin, so the content area is smaller. However I want the header logo to allign with the increased margin. Is this possible?
Disregard the first question, I worked it out.
copyright p {
font-size: 14px!important; }
copyright p {
font-family: ‘Helvetica’ !important; }
If you could answer the secon question in the reply above, it would be greatly appreciated.
Hey,
Glad you sorted the first item – could you kindly share your URL showing the modified content area margin so I can see how your header is no longer lining up?
Cheers
Hi ThemeNectar, I amended the widths so they are consistent and it now aligns correctly.
Good to hear
I mean, when clicking on the photo, I want a description appear under it.
Thank you, Arshak
Hey Arshak,
As of now this would take some custom development but it’s an item on the wishlist
Cheers
How to change that image and text below it for every page? http://prntscr.com/67p885
Hey, please share your URL in regards so I can see why that’s being picked up by FB
I made a ticket on your homepage, I can share the URL there.
Ok, I’ll be with you there in regards then
Hi ThemeNectar! Awesome theme. One of the best by far I have worked on. Trying to do something a little different and not sure where to head. I want to have a full width row with a background image on page open when the page loads, then fade out after a few seconds to reveal the page content behind which would be a gallery grid. I’m not too good at js and everything I have tried to target the image with CSS hasn’t worked to get the fade out effect. Ideas or guidance would be much appreciated! Thanks for your hard work making this theme so fantastic! Mark
Hey Mark!
The easiest way to handle this would indeed be with js – if you gave the row a class you should be able to easily target it in the init.js file located in the js folder
Cheers
Hey!
Thanks! That’s where I started with searching for “fade-out” script online. I am js stupid though, and after trying to find a reasonable script I could understand, looking through the init.js file, my eyes glazed over and rolled back into my head..
I started with a class on the row, but every script I have found requires setting the js call in the head of the page and structuring the page with HTML.
I’m convinced this should be relatively easy with a simple command that opens at opacity: 1 and fades to opacity: 0 after a set duration.
But to be honest I’m stumped. If you have time a suggestion or point in the direction to get help with this would be appreciated.
First time working with the builder so that’s a new one for me too, but really impressed with how robust and complete you’ve made this theme and it’s functionality is amazing.
Cheers, Mark
Nectar Team,
AMAZING theme, simply AMAZING!!!!
Quick question regarding the Testimonial Slider.
URL: http://neileverosborne.com/about/
Is it possible to remove the Testimonial Slider completely off Smart Phones only.
I tried using this,
.testimonial_slider { display: none!important; }
This does infact remove the Testimonial Slider but the background image I used inside the slider remains. Can you help me remove the Testimonial Slider and background image completely?
Thanks, EM
Hey again!
You can give that row a class such as “mobile-hidden” and then add this into the custom css box:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1000px) {
.mobile-hidden {
display:none!important;
}
}
Cheers
Many thanks. The snippet of code you provided works great.
Cheers
