On the Necatr Slider is possible to use button text just as subtitle (no mouse over)

position: relative!important;
z-index: -1!important;
}

not a perfect solution because A: on mouse over still glows blue, and all others slides with link become blind 
You could give the slide a class name when editing it such as “no-links” and then change the css to this:
.swiper-slide.no-links .button a {
position: relative!important;
z-index: -1!important;
cursor: default!important;
}
Hey, Just switched my site over to https, and the nectar box, with a vimeo video doesn’t open. “The Watch Our Video” button
The website is “www.flipside.ky” and the error I see is
“Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.flipside.ky/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource ‘http://player.vimeo.com/video/110465278?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0&autoplay=1;'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.”
Any thoughts?

4 months ago everything was normal. But then problems started.
I use
WPML for translations Wordpress SEO by YOAST WP-Optimize Wordfence Security (now is off)
First there was a problem with seo plugin, which chanched permanent links by deleting /catigory/ from links, that caused 404 error everywhere. I tuned off that function.
Remained problems with Portfolio. I was using this structure: media (all media/ main template + vis.composer “portfolio”) /parent page -photo( portfolio template) /child page -video (portfolio template) / child page
problems: 1) portfolio navigation doesn’t work anywhere 2) when wpml was on – photo and -video pages didn’t work, 404 error when wpml was off they worked
I deleted theme and install again, deleted all site and install again. deleted all portfolio items and install again – nothing helped.
I used evrewhere vis. composer, then only portfolio template – no results.
then I restructured pages
media (all media/ main template + vis.composer “portfolio”)/parent page photo( portfolio template) /parent page video (portfolio template) / parent page
shows everything but still navigation doesn’t work

Hey – that would actually need to be purchased, the only video you can use is the vector one of the mountains from the main demo. The source for that is listed in the user guide though

I’m really enjoying using Salient – great theme, and great support too! I have a couple of questions regarding the Portfolio elements – I wonder if you can help?
1. Can I change the label ‘Portfolio’ to ‘Case Studies’ under WP Admin? 2. I need to show 2 different types of case study on 2 different pages. I know that I can use categories to categorise them…but I want to be able to sort the case studies on these 2 different pages too. So one page would have Case Study type 1, showing sorting options within that Case Study type…and another page would show Case Study type 2, again showing sorting options within that Case Study type.
Finally – I read your response to netclick asking about changing the label for Salient – you said -

You’re allowed to change the name of Salient wherever you want in the theme options/admin but by default it’s not unbranded
...I can’t find an option to do this?

1. You’d have to alter the functions.php file in regards – open it up and look for this line:
'name' => __( 'Portfolio', 'taxonomy general name', NECTAR_THEME_NAME),
2. You could still accomplish this with selecting the appropriate categories via the Visual Composer portfolio element
3. Open your options-init.php file located in the nectar/options directory and modify this line:
$args['menu_title'] = __('Salient', NECTAR_THEME_NAME);

I I updated to the latest version of the theme and now I have lost the visual composer.
Any ideas?
Salient v5.5 separated Visual Composer into a plugin and it is no longer automatically built in – this means when you activate the theme you’ll have to still install the Visual Composer plugin via the admin panel. It is included still with the theme and no purchase is necessary, just head to the plugins section of your admin panel to install & activate. Cheers!
Hi there, I would need some help from you with translation of two elements of the theme. I have my website in two languages (used WPML for translation).
1. Portfolio icon I can’t find a way to change/translate the url of the grid icon on the single portfolio page, the one which takes back to the main portfolio page. I need two different links – one for each language. How can I do it?
2. Right side widget How can I translate with WPML the right side widget (the one which appears when you click on the icon on the top, right corner of the page)?
I also noticed that there is an issue on tablets – landscape view only (used Samsung Galaxy tablet for tests). Some texts/buttons of my page don’t load at all. You can only see blank backgrounds of some sections. >>Please no that, I have the newest version of Salient theme installed and my tablet is updated too.

Hey, I checked the Salient demo on the same device and didn’t find this problem. The strange thing is, that those issues only appear on the tablet (Samsung Galaxy) landscape view. On ipad everything loads fine.
Any idea on what can be causing that?

Hey there, thanks for great theme, I’m loving it! I have some problems that I couldn’t self resolve..
1. Facebook sharing of my portfolio item, shows only my website and logo. (tried with custom and featured image, didn’t help). BTW twitter and G+ working well.
2. When I try to open a lightbox link such as:

Thanks for a great theme! I’m running into an issue though:
I want to implement some custom jQuery, but including it right below or after the body tag, or anywhere for that matter, doesn’t work. If I include a link to Google’s jQuery CDN right above the script, it works, but then obviously breaks all of Salient’s jQuery functionality due to some sort of conflict that’s occurring. I’m just having a simple alert popup on click of a div to test that any scripts work/don’t work.
I’ve tried searching for this to no avail, where would I include a custom jQuery script in the theme files?

Updated to the new Salient and no longer have the page builder. If I purchase and install Visual Composer will that bring back the page builder and allow me to create/edit pages as in previous version of Salient.
Can you also post a link to the plugin please.

I did not see the VC plugin in my plugin section of the admin. So I purchased the plugin for $28. How to I resolve this issue.

The demo appears to be extremely slow to load on Safari, and also on Chrome at the moment (up to about 20 seconds). Seems like the main slider is causing the problem. I like the theme and am considering purchasing but I’m wondering is this just a current issue or an on-going issue?

After buying and testing 5 other themes which turned out not to be good enough for me, I am about ready to try your theme. The demo that I need to start off my eCommerce project will need to have full integration with WooCommerce, BuddyPress, and bbPress. Hi! Great theme! I had an older version and upgraded. I still have the home slider but now my images don’t fit and there’s some really weird thing going on with the captions and call to action buttons. I’ve removed them and just have the photos up. How can I stop using the home slider (still shows up even when I remove all the images) and make the Nectar slider the primary slider for my home page.

To remove the Home Slider from a page you just need to change the template to “default” in your page attributes meta box on your page

Hi – Carrying on from the conversation about the site being slow – This is what they sad.
This is what my host said:
The site is definitely very sluggish:- http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/bDxeb8/axiski.com But one of the issues is that you have over 100 HTTP elements on the page adding up to nearly 5MB of content. That’s really a lot and ideally it should be around 1MB.
Something else you should look at is also installing a caching plugin. We normally recommend WP Supercache which has good results in speeding up sites. We recommend making sure it’s in ‘rewrite mode’ for caching

I’d like to add a form on top of the page header image to look something like the following website uses hxxps://www.wmegroup.com.au/
I don’t expect the theme to have this kind of functionality but can you tell me where I could edit the function for Page header title and Page header subtitle. If I can remove this code and put my own code as overlay it should work.
Is header.php the place to look? Any hints would be appreciated.

I think it would be great if you could set the width or height of a single image in the visual composer. Would be really useful for adding smaller images and still having them retina. I have tried using column padding to accomplish this but when viewed on mobile the padding is ignored.
