Hi Cubell, thanks for making 15Zine—I bought it and it looks great. I read in this forum that you’re going to add support for Woocommerce to it. Will it support multi-vendor Woocommerce? I’m really hoping it’ll be compatible with this plug-in or another plug-in like it: http://www.wcvendors.com

Hey Samtranum,

I’m really happy to hear you like it :)

Yes, the theme will support WooCommerce in an early update. And if a plugin is compatible with WooCommerce in TwentyFifteen (default theme), it will very likely be compatible in 15Zine too.

Cubell

Great, thank you!

No problem :)

Hi, this is a great theme, I’m very impressed and I’ll consider it for restyling my site. I have some pre-sales questions.

1) MEGA MENU: can I align subcategories on the left in this style? http://imgur.com/OhvwP5Q

2) Can I add a gallery with thumbnails in a standard post? See example: http://i.imgur.com/Vm3vLkT.jpg

3) Can i create a page with all galleries by categories? See example: http://i.imgur.com/RCWyGQq.jpg This is an essential feature for a magazine theme, imho.

4) Can I set different backgrounds for page/categories? Backgrounds are clickable?

5) There’s a demo page with your shortcodes?

6) Your theme support Google rich snippets? It’s SEO optimized?

Thanks for your attention.

Hi Matthew11,

Thanks for checking out 15Zine :)

1- Yes you can, all you’d have to do is copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

#cb-nav-bar .cb-mega-menu-columns {  text-align: left; }

2- There isn’t an option for a image gallery (apart from the gallery post type gallery), but you can easily do it with a plugin, such as this free one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/slideshow-gallery/

3- I’m not sure I understand the purpose of that page. You want a page that only shows posts that use the gallery post format? To show a list of specific posts, the normal way in WordPress to do it is by giving them the same tag, so for example, you could give your gallery posts a tag called “Gallery”, and then you could add a module on the homepage that only shows posts with that tag. You would also have a URL with all those posts: www.yoursite.com/tag/gallery

4- Yes, every category/tag/page can have its own background color or image. And 15Zine has a background ad takeover system built in, which allows you to set a background (and make it clickable) on either only the homepage, or the entire site, so it overrides all the backgrounds everywhere to show that clickable ad.

5- I forgot to create one, I will try to do it soon, however, you can see the list of shortcodes here: http://docs.cubellthemes.com/15zine/#!/cubell_shortcodes

The theme also has the option to have a Dropcap for the first letter of the article, but this is an “on/off” option inside each post.

6- Yes, the theme has review scheme markup and I have years experience with actually ranking real sites, so I really understand SEO, and the theme uses all the best practices I’ve learned over the years. However, the truth is, the most important aspects of SEO are nothing to do with the theme you use. The most important aspects of SEO are having numerous high-quality/relevant backlinks and have unique/high-quality content on your site. You could use the worst theme in the world, but if you have high quality content and backlinks, you will still rank well in Google for the relevant keywords.

I hope this helps.

Hey,

Congrats on this amazing theme!

I was wondering how I would be able to make my posts descend by the most popular, just like the “15Zine Popular Posts” widget. I tried using Visual Composer to place the “15Zine Popular Posts” widget on my front page but it’s not lining up right. Anything I can do?

Thanks, Mike

Hey Mike,

Thanks for choosing 15Zine :)

Could you open a ticket at http://support.cubellthemes.com and include the URL where the widget doesn’t line up, it likely just needs a bit of custom CSS to adjust it, and I can help you out with that if I can see it.

Oh my eyes, this is a very well designed theme,

I just got two questions.

1. Can we have a screenshot of the RTL version or a demo if it’s ready? 2. Is there any chance you will add “events” page. It’s amazing how many good themes comes without events page. This theme will be the real definition of perfection if you add it.

Congrats again and GLWS,

Hi Fnme,

Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate them :)

1- I don’t have a RTL demo, however, the theme has RTL stylesheet done and it will load it automatically if your site is set to an RTL language :)

2- The reason themes don’t do events pages, is because you’d have to create an entire events system, and no theme would be able to offer a events system as good as one of the dedicated plugins for events that have been developed over years + thousands of hours. Which is why the best way for everyone is to install their favorite events plugin to us with themes.

Hope this helps and makes sense!

Hey, will it be easy to switch from Valenti to this one? My travel blog would love some refresh but I don’t want to lose time with all the features like “[divider]”.

Let me know :) Bruno

Hi Bruno,

Nice to hear from you buddy, hope you are well!

Yes, I coded 15Zine to make the transition from Valenti as easy as a theme -> new theme transition can be. The shortcodes (such as the divider) will work in 15Zine automatically, reviews created in Valenti’s review system will automatically show in 15Zine’s new design, and other data such as the photo credit lines and post format embed data will also transfer automatically.

You’d have to create the homepage again, as 15Zine uses different code/modules, but as you have used Valenti, you probably will be able to do it without even looking at the documentation and really quickly :)

Cubell

Great theme. Is there a way in CSS to change post titles so they’re not all caps? Thanks.

Hey Gregoates,

Thanks for the kind words and for choosing 15Zine. Yup, there sure is, copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

.cb-fis h1 {  text-transform: none; }

Should do the trick :)

Cubell

Hi Awesome theme. Before purchasing…is there a full width page (not only posts)? THanks.

Hey Timtimtim,

Thanks very much for the interest in 15Zine :)

Yes, pages have the option to not have a sidebar (full-width). They can also use the 15Zine featured image styles!

The theme already has bbPress compatibility (check forums link in the feature megamenu), and yes I can confirm that15Zine will support WooCommerce – It will happen in one of the early updates of the theme. After WooCommerce support is done, BuddyPress will also be done and be next :)

Cubell

Thanks. Much luck and many $ers with this one.

Thank you very much bud, appreciate it :)

AMAZING Theme… LOVE IT!

One question, how or can I get rid of the Author and Author Boxes?

Thanks

Please ignore this question…I found the option. I have another question. How do I get rid of the image ‘place holder’ on some pages : http://slowfoodireland.com/events/

Hey Pencilpeople (great name by the way!),

Thanks for choosing 15Zine and for the kind words :)

That page is completely created/controlled by your Events plugin, so check there to see if there is an option for that, if not, you can hide all the thumbnails by copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
.tribe-events-event-image { display: none; }

Hope this helps :)

Hey,

I’m using a Retina MacBook but it’s displaying the standard logo not the retina version. I’ve uploaded the two logos at the sizes suggested – can you advise on how I go about fixing this?

Thanks!

Hey Ajfenwick,

Thanks again for choosing 15Zine! Do you see the Retina version of the logo on the demo site? And did you try disabling all plugins? Retina detection is in Javascript, so if a plugin is breaking your site’s Javascript, it may be causing this. Share the URL of your site and I can investigate it further and check the status of your Javascript :)

Cubell

Hello Cubell,

Thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration. My site is already running this masterpiece (http://www.coisasdegajo.com/) and i’ve a single suggestion for a future update: - Option to add social icons to the top bar near the search;

Good luck with the sales and keep the amazing inspiration.

Guga

Hi Guga,

Thanks so much for the kind words, and your site already looks really nice! Great job setting it up so fast :)

And you can already have social icons on your top menu! The theme comes with Font Awesome, so simply go to http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/ click on the icon you want to use, then copy/paste the code as the menu item title, for example:

<i class="fa fa-globe"> </i>

And it’ll appear there.

Hope this helps!

Cubell

Cubell :) Thanks once again!

You’re welcome :)

Hello again!

The issue in my previous comment was that the theme was changed! I reverted it back and now its working fine. :) Now I’ve some more questions with me:

1. When the infinite scrolling occurs, there’s a lag of 2-3 seconds and then the posts are loaded. How can I show a spinner animation during that time instead of nothing happening inspite of that time halt?

2. I want the related posts to appear at the bottom of the main and sidebar container and the related posts should infinitely load as well! Can that be possible?

Hey again :)

No problem, glad it’s sorted now!

1- Infinite scroll uses ajax to load posts, so those 2-3 seconds it’s your browser loading the posts from your server, and it currently has the “fade to white” animation when it’s loading, and I will look into possibly putting the spinner there too, for further user feedback. Thanks for the suggestion!

2- I’m afraid that’s not really possible, as the related posts was coded to either be static X number of posts or a slider with X number of posts.

Cubell

Where can we ask support questions, since you flag and delete our comments from here?

It’s no problem! I can compeltely understand how you think it was me, but I have never, ever flagged a comment, I don’t work that way.

And I don’t mind if you include other theme url’s here for reference, however, I respect all my fellow authors, and all I can say to a question like that is that you will most likely have a great site with any theme you pick from here. Try carefully looking at the demo sites and see which one is more relevant/useful for your project and go with that one :)

Cubell

Great to read that, Cubell! I will message you in private.

No problem, I’ll respond to it soon.

Cubell

can we use this theme in 1020px like valenti?

Hey Songfornight,

Hope you’re well. Yes, 15Zine also has the option to change the site width to 1020px :)

Cubell

This theme seems like its got everything I’m looking for, finally! Specially with the woocomerce update coming soon.

Quick question though, any chance there’s some sort of instagram feed functionality? To add in the footer or such? Or would that have to be a third party plugin? (if so, any you would recommend to use with your theme?)

Thanks!

Hey Bdrinc,

Thanks for the interest in 15Zine :)

There aren’t any Instagram widgets, and I didn’t create any because there are already so many great ones, both free and premium. This is a nice one I have used in the past: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-instagram-widget/ and there a few really nice ones on CodeCanyon.net too!

Cubell

Thank for the fast reply Cubell! Just one more thing, is there an option to turn off the secondary menu?

You’re welcome! What secondary menu are you referring to? There is a top menu and a main menu in the header area, but they won’t show if you don’t add menu items to them.

Cubell

Great Theme!

just a few questions, please:

1. Can we have this header on all pages/posts? http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/design/parallax-story-post/

2. Can we easily change the colors of the top menu and sticky menu (background and fonts)?

3. Is it possible to insert single image in the slider modules? (or rather the sliders only work with articles?)

Thanks!

Hey Youyou78,

Thanks for checking 15Zine out :)

1- At the moment, the option to make the header look like that in a post/page will only appear if you set the featured image style to one of the big styles (parallax/full-screen/screen-width), as the idea of that option was to give posts/pages using those featured image styles extra space to show off the featured image. But if you want your entire site to look like that, all you’d have to do is give the main menu a logo and not set a main logo or header ad.

2- Currently, there is an option to set the top menu and sticky menu style to be either dark/light, you can see how they look in the demo site using the Demo Styler Tool on the right hand side. But for a specific color, you could always add some simple custom CSS code to your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box. And I can help with changing the background color of the main/top menus if needed, it’s just one line of custom CSS. And the fonts used in the menus are whatever you set in the Theme Options -> Typography for the “Headings font”. Google fonts can be heavy, so to keep performance running well, the theme provides you with an option to set a font for headings and one for the body text. Inside posts you can give also set specific fonts to only be used inside that post’s content area.

3- Do you mean the sliders on the homepage? If so, those modules do require posts, they aren’t something you can insert into a post for normal images. The only slider currently available inside a post is the one found inside the gallery post type: http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/fashion/gallery-post/

4- I had never thought of that one, at the moment it’s set to the normal review schema, but now that you mention it I know there is a “multiple user ratings” schema that can be implemented, I will definitely look into it and try to integrate it for user rating only reviews.

Thanks again!

Cubell

Thanks Cubell for your replies ;)

You’re welcome :)

before purchase, first how it can be change to RTL and in admin panel can we change a words that we want i mean translate? and is there a option that we change RTL or not? WPML needed?

Hey Hazratgul,

Thanks for the interest in 15Zine.

If you set your WordPress site to be RTL, the theme will automatically load the RTL version of the stylesheet, so you don’t have to do anything, it’ll work automatically.

And the theme also includes translation files, so you can quickly create the translation files for your language. The instructions for this can be found in the documentation of the theme.

And WPML is only needed if you want to have multiple languages on the same site, if you only want to have it in one language, you don’t need WPML :)

Cubell

i want it as a Persian RTL lan. but if i change my admin to rtl language then all of my admin panel will be change to Persian, that it is crazy i do not like it is there a better way that i just change my frontpage to RTL? if you add some option in admin panel that we can change it to RTL or LTR it will be the best theme ever i seen, but right now i believe it is the only theme in the internet that is perfect theme and can we use virsual comproser without problem did you already checked?

I’m not sure if that is possible i’m afraid! RTL is a WordPress option, and I think if you set your site to RTL, your entire site becomes RTL! The theme can’t really control that i’m afraid!

And I haven’t tested it with Visual composer, but 15zine is written following WordPress best standards, so it should work with no problems, if you run into any problems, and it turns out to be the theme’s code at fault, you can report it at http://support.cubellthemes.com and I’ll do my best to help fix it.

Thanks again for the kind words :)

Cubell

As always Cubell, Great theme, no doubt its going to create another record

Hey Drsankarl,

Thanks for dropping by bud, really appreciate the kind words :)

Hey,

Your theme is exactly what I have been looking for over the last few weeks, however i do have one question before I give it a go.

With the grid homepage style like this one:

http://themeforest.net/item/15zine-hd-magazine-newspaper-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/10802918

Is there a way to add either pagination of load more to the bottom of the grid? I’m looking to simply fill the homepage with a grid, so would like to pagination at the bottom.

Hey Mrgreenneon,

Thanks for the interest in 15Zine :)

I’m afraid you didn’t share the correct URL, that one goes straight to the homepage URL, you need to remove the Envato preview bar to see the real URL of the page you are currently on, but I think I can help you out anyway.

If you want a homepage with only grids and pagination, you could just simply set your homepage to display “latest posts” (WordPress setting in Settings -> Reading) and then in the Theme Options -> Homepage, you would set the homepage to use one of the grid blog styles, such as:

http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/category/music/rock/

Or

http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/category/videogames/ps4/

And you can set the pagination to be “Numbered, infinite scroll or infinite scroll with load more button”.

Hope this helps :)
