Hi … just purchased the theme and we can’t upload the demo content. We go here: https://theme.co/x/member/upgrade/ but then it asks for user name and purchase code. I put in username, then purchase code. It says “this purchase code is not associated with this account”. Help ASAP please!

Replied :)

you guys are great… thanks!

You’re welcome!

Hi ..

I often build a clients website on one of my “add on domains” with Godaddy … when I’m ready I transfer the site to the customers domain.

I’ve heard you use the IP address as a security element to prevent people from using the product multiple times … which I totally understand .. but if I build the site on one domain and then move it to another domain is this OK?

Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,

Sure! Automatic updates will only work for one domain per license, but you’re more than welcome to change that domain at any time.

Hi,

i recently purchased X and really like it. We have a small problem: When using Google Tag Manager it is necessary to put the GTM Code directly after the opening BODY tag, which currently is not possible via plugin in Wordpress.

There are some plugins like https://wordpress.org/plugins/duracelltomi-google-tag-manager/, but they all tell you to edit the template file(s) and put one line of code directly after the body tag.

Since this “breaks” the update functionality (we would have to reinsert the code every time there is a theme update) and the plugin author says in his FAQ that some theme authors already have solutions for this particular problem, i wanted to ask if a.) you have a viable solution or b.) if you could implement one in the next update?

Best, Gerald

PS.: Here is the FAQ part from the plugin author: “Why can not this plugin insert the container snippet after the opening body tag automatically? Currently WordPress has two ‘commands’ or ‘hooks’ that a programmer can use: one for the <head> section and one for the bottom of . There is no way to inject any content after the opening body tag without manually editing your template files.

Fortunately some theme authors already resolved this so in some cases you do not need to edit your template.”

Hi there,

Adding content after the opening body tag can be risky. It can potentially break the layout, which is why most themes don’t offer it, including X.

We have some hooks that fire after certain templates are loaded, so with a bit of custom coding you could have a solution that adds the tags to every page with just a few lines of code in functions.php of a child theme. This isn’t something we offer support for, but if you need help identifying the hooks feel free to ask a question in our forums and one of our developers can help you out.

Thanks for the fast reply and explanation!

Since the correct firing of all things related to Tag Manager is very important when using it with AdWords, Facebook Conversions, Retaregting, etc., i am afraid that it absolutely should/must be put where Google tells us to put it.

BUT, i think we can produce a solution via the child functions.php, because that way we do not have to “overwrite” a whole PHP file with the child theme. As far as i understood it, it is possible to just extend some functionality inside the functions.php, so this is absolutely a feasible solution which we could use in any project!

Best, Gerald

Hi Gerald,

Sounds good! I took a closer look, and the hook you want is x_before_site_begin. You would add an action to that hook with a function containing the custom code for your plugin. I can’t go into more detail here, but feel free to post a question in the forum if you have any questions about it.

I got my letter from Google about them wanting responsive web sites or I lose all my Google SEO power. I know some of the pages URL’s will change but I can’t do anything about that. SO, my money site is at http://www.leakhq.com It is a html webpage. My main question is “Can X copy that web site really close. I like it the way it is. People comment all the time how easy it is to navigate. They like how simple it is. I sell a lot of stuff with it. Also I need all the page links showing and easy to find. I noticed here on Themeforest that lots of these responsive themes, as they shrink down, turn the directory of pages into a little box with no words on it. We can’t do that at all. Navigation is the key. Wed blog designers seem to make simplicity the point. They give our customers too much credit for brains and experience. I say we have about 10 seconds for people to figure out what is going on and if they cant do that they disappear. Changing over is scary to me. So can you help me?

Maybe I could put some words in a clear area above the page directory that would say “Click this box to see our other pages” That would stay there and appear just above the shrunk box. ?

Sorry about this but this is how I make my living and Google is making me do this. Otherwise I never would be thinking about it.

You could try something with a sidebar menu. Take a look at this page. You could have your sidebar on the left instead, and have it filled with your links. That’s just a WordPress menu widget. Then above that, you could add a text widget with your message. This would be fully responsive.

Hi there!

This search widget here: http://hs.utah.gov/locations/ do you know how they made that? Is it something you can do with the theme? I want to make something like that myself.

The site above is also using X theme.

They did a great job on the site! That particular feature was some of their custom development.

Hi I am trying to decide if I will purchase this theme. I like a lot of the features but am wondering is there a way to add info at the top of the site in a “top bar” type area. This would be for information like phone number and small message. Is this possible?

Also will it look good on mobile? Don’t want the text, logo and mobile menu to overlap.

Thanks for your help!

Well then you’ve come to the right place :)

We have a feature we call TopBar that you can activate for just such a purpose. You can see an example of it activated on this demo. On the left you can add text and on the right social icons.

X will look beautiful on mobile devices as it is not only fully responsive it is one of the few themes on the market that is 100% fluid as well.

Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!

Hi, I am looking for a Wordpress Theme that can produce a similar look like this following website: http://www.drottningblanka.se/ Do you think that’s possible? //Matthias

Hey There,

Our theme comes with a lot of customization options and it’s possible to create a similar website. If you want to have an exact replication of the site you will need to apply some css modification which requires basic coding knowledge.

Hi X team! I’m back to give X theme another shot now that I have time to sit down and work with it. One of my main concerns in the past is that there did not seem to be any ajax functionality for woocommerce functions such as “add to cart”, and that the event box that pops up when you do add an item to the cart was clunky and not visually appealing to the rest of the theme.

Has any of this been improved upon or do you know of work arounds for any of this?

Thanks in advance!

Hey There,

We have plans to add an ajax “add to cart” function to our theme in the near future, till then there is no easy solution for this.

Thank you! I’ve also noticed many other themes of this caliber have a quick-view feature for woocommerce products. Is this under consideration for X?

You’re welcome! There is a feedback thread in the forum (sticky at the top) where customers are welcome to share ideas they’d like to see for future development.

Cheers!

Hello, I have reviewed all of the stack demos and variations. I understand that there is plenty of flexibility to modify and adapt to create a unique look and feel – or are users locked into the styles provided?

Regarding external plugin compatibility I have a few questions. In the video you and theme details you suggest inbuilt SEO optimisation, does this replace external SEO plugins?

Can you comment on compatibility with MailPoet? This is a newsletter plugin which I use on a number of websites and works very well.

Can you comment on compatibility with other popular plugins such as security plugins and performance plugins. It would be useful to know in advance if there are any known conflicts or issues with popular wordpress plugins.

Credit to the team for the fast and active support provided here.

Hey There,

1. You can only use one stack at a time but each stack lets you customize and modify a wide range of settings to make your site unique.

2. You can use a SEO plugin in conjunction with our theme but you are also fine without one.

3. We do not have any experience with that plugin, so we can’t tell you if it will be working with our theme or not.

4. Most of the popular plugins are working fine with our theme. X is written with best practice in mind and if there are issues they are most of the time plugin related. A lot of our users are using the most popular plugins without any problems.

Thank you kindly for the answers

You’re very welcome!

Getting an error showing up on each page the last day or 2: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/crzscore/public_html/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/global/admin/tmg/registration.php on line 85

What’s going on and how can we fix it?

Hi Steve,

All support is provided in our member forum for verified customers. Once purchased, you can register for access here.

Cheers!

HI, As the webmaster I do not any access to to the members area so this is my only only hope getting this issue resolved. The client has no clue as far as registering or activating the theme as well. (yes, it sucks) thanks!

Hey There,

The client only has to give you his purchase code then you can register in our member area and use the support forum.

I am going through your demo, and I have a question regarding the protected content shortcode/element. (please forgive me if it’s a dumb question)

Does the theme allow for user registration and login? Or does the registration get handled by something else?

Thank you.

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in, and it’s not a silly question in the slightest! We’re happy to help out. :) The user registration process itself is something handled more by WordPress. The [protect] shortcode is utilized to ensure that content is only seen by a user that is already logged in. If you’d like more information on a basic user registration setup with your WordPress installation, this is a great resource to get up and running.

?If you happen to have any further questions, don’t hesitate to let us know by opening up a new thread in the forum for our member center as this is where all official support is handled. One of our staff will be more than happy to assist you there should you need it.

Cheers!

Hello, I love your theme.

Currently I have a live site which I am redoing from scratch. I purchased a temp domain/ site to work on while leaving my live site active. could I purchase your theme use it on my temp site and once I’m done uploaded to my original site?

thank you

Hey there,

Absolutely you can do that! As long as the theme is ultimately being used in one end location you’re good to go. We fully understand many people prefer to work this way. :)

Hi X,

Interested in ICON. But want to set up regular pages and blog pages using simple Content [2/3] / Sidebar [1/3] format. (In the sidebar I want to add perhaps widgets that list a few latest blog entries and pull in latest Tweets from Twitter.)

On the one hand I read copy here saying “unlimited sidebars” and “unlimited styling,” but also warnings that Icon does not allow sidebars. That seems contrary, can you help me understand what’s possible?

Are there examples we can see? Thanks, I searched the comments and demos but can’t find answer to this on my own.

JF

Hey there,

There is no control over when the breakpoints occur in the theme, they are predefined by us and utilized throughout our stylesheets for various elements.

Got it. Thanks much again. Will think about this.

My pleasure!

I’m considering purchasing this theme. With all these features, I’m concerned the framework is huge and bulky. Are there hundreds of files that power this theme? Looks great though!

Hi There,

Please check out this FAQ about the topic.

Many thanks for the kind words!

1) Does your theme include any of the Visual Composer extensions? E.g. brainstorm force, or Takenawa? 2) Does your theme have all the theme shortcodes mapped to visual composer?

Yes, some of our Shortcodes and VC’s Shortcodes overlap which is why you can only select one or the other. You either use all ours or all theirs.

To see demos of our Shortcodes, go to the main demos for each Stack and click the Shortcodes link in the menu.

Thanks. What size is the theme in MB? Sorry for all the questions just deciding between 2 themes.

All zipped up the theme is about 5.2MB. :)

I purchased the theme about 8 months ago and love it. Can I get the extensions sent to me, please? I want to use woo commerce.

Thanks!

Hi There,

Simply validate your purchase, and then you can install the Extensions (make sure your theme and Shortcodes plugin are updates to their latest version). More info on product validation here.

WooCommerce is a separate plugin by a separate company (not an Extension) that can be installed at any time by you.

Cheers!

Your theme’s parallax features seem to be incompatible with touch-enabled laptops, treating them as mobile devices instead in browsers such as Firefox and Chrome. Will this be fixed in the near future? I ran into this problem with another theme and their developers fixed it promptly. I am set on purchasing this theme but it’s the only thing holding me back.

Parallax not working in Windows 8.1 & Firefox on this page: http://theme.co/x/demo/extensions/smooth-scroll/

The background video feature suffers from this same problem as well. The team at Angry Gorilla used this so solve the issue for their Swenson theme:

Hey There,

We are aware of the complexity of hybrid devices and the behaviour of certain functionality related to this. Trying to deliver the best experience possible to our customers and their visitors is key to us that’s why you can rest assured that we are constantly looking into ways to improve things like the handling of hybrid devices and if we find a solution that is appropriate we will release it as soon as possible.

Hi can i custom font uploader?

Hi There,

We provide integration with Google fonts, however customers are welcome to customized any part of the theme as needed.

Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!

hi

i had a quick question im trying to reproduce your integrity home1 page timline affect ( the grey line that divides the pictures and wording…... how did you guys implement that in… if it was css can you please direct me to it so i could see the code and i could make my own :) once again love this theme :)

Happy to hear that Garth! You can actually see the code for it by simply importing the Integrity 01 demo content via our Demo Content importer (keep in mind importing demo content will override all other site settings). If you need anything further, a member of our development team will be happy to assist in the forum.

Cheers!

My main purpose with my WordPress site is to have a blog. Is it possible to have the blog as the start page/ home page?

Hey Dennis,

This is no problem at all. You can select the Blog as your default front page or any other page. This is totally up to your needs.
