Are you trying to change the style (light/dark) of the main menu? If so, you do it in Theme Options -> Design. And it’s the “MAIN NAVIGATION BAR SCHEME” option.

No, you don’t need to edit any CSS files to make changes! Can you share your site URL and point out exactly what is currently red? I can help you when I understand where you mean Because the main menu items are either white/black, so I’m a bit confused where you mean.

The only thing I can think of without seeing the problem/site, is that you may be having a module that shows 3 posts, but the category/tag you set it to show posts from has less than 3 posts published, could that be it?

I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble setting the theme up, but most users find it really easy, especially by following the documentation. Did you read the steps in the documentation to set up your homepage?

And I don’t understand what you mean by “if I paid to have you guys to install it..”, are you saying you paid someone to install it? Because I don’t offer a paid installation service, and if you paid someone, it must have been done via Envato Studio, in which case I have no idea what went on, as I didn’t do the installation, or am I reading it wrong and you are simply speaking rhetorically?

Also, as you can see from my author rating and a quick skim through the support system tickets or comments here, you will see that every single one receives an answer, and usually quite fast. The past 4 days were Easter holidays (including a weekend) in my country, so there was hardly any support.

For the menu colors, all you need to do is give the category or page a specific color. Edit the category/page and set a global category color (or global page color), and it will automatically apply to the menu.

Regarding the module issue, do you have enough posts published inside it? Depending on the module, you may require 2 or 3 (or more if the grid is bigger) of posts published. If that isn’t it, share the URL and I can take a look.

Ah, you mean like Soundcloud does it? I’m afraid that is actually quite hard to do, as the only way to do that is to make every element on the site load via ajax. I’d recommend using a plugin such as this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/soundy-background-music/ to have a player, but it would start over whenever you click to change pages. Sorry I can’t be more helpful on this one!

well thanks for your answer but it doesn’t make sense because in your 15ZINE SOCIAL WIDGET you use facebook icon in black and white why not using the same icon with pinterest in the team page? all new magazine templates (last than 6 months old) have all social media icons attached to their team page. I think your template is really modern and i love it but your team page do not compete with others… would it be wise to catch up on this?

this is doesn’t make sense as you are using facebook icon in black and white in your 15ZINE SOCIAL WIDGET why not doing the same for author and team page? as well the latest magazine wp templates have all social media icons for their author and team page – wouldn’t be wise to catch up? thanks

The 15Zine Social Widget has the Facebook icon in White because Facebook provides it. They provide a normal blue version and as an alternative they also provide a white version.

And I am aware that lots of themes use social media icons of all sorts, but that doesn’t mean it is legal/correct. It’s not about catching up, I could design amazing versions of social network logos, but I, personally, don’t feel comfortable using/sharing/creating unofficial social network logos.

That being said, the theme does use and include FontAwesome, which is a font that has hundreds of icons and they do have lots of logos, but the theme doesn’t use them. That is what all other themes use to show the logos. And of course you are the site owner, so you can customize the theme to do/use anything you want

Regarding the sticky menu, I went on the post and the sidebar is sticky on my browser, did you fix the issue? If not, what browser/operating system/device are you using?

1- Pagination is created and 100% controlled by WordPress itself, so in order for pagination to work on a page, you need to set that page to either the front page or the blog posts page in Settings -> Reading.

2- The stars only show one value in numbers, the final score, is that what you want to change? If so the only way is to edit code. Edit core.php and look for:

$cb_score_output = $cb_review_final_score;

and change to:

$cb_score_output = intval( $cb_review_final_score );

Currently, it is per post, so you set the sidebar option inside each post (left sidebar/right sidebar/no sidebar), however, I am considering adding a new option to set a global override, similar to the featured image style override in the theme options. Is that something you would want?

What kind of header variations are you thinking of? Currently there are lots of options to make it look as you wish.

You can add a logo to main navigation menu for example, and so not use the main logo/header ad area at all, similar to what another user who previously commented did in j-bu.fr

You can also set the main logo on the left/center and set the top menu/main menu/megamenus to be either light/dark.

Let me know what else you are imagining and I’ll let you know if it’s possible

Regarding the newsletter, I don’t include one in any of my themes as it doesn’t really make sense to. There are so many advanced and really nice free/premium newletter plugins already available which do a much better job than any newsletter system a theme can create, and also, there are so many newsletter services out there (MailChimp, MailJet, CampaignMonitor), that it makes much more sense for users to get a plugin for their services, for example, if you use MailChimp, you can use this free widget here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

Thanks very much for checking out 15Zine and for considering for your magazine.

1- 15Zine doesn’t add/need/use any custom taxonomies, however, there is an option in the theme options to tell the theme of custom post types, so that they can appear in modules/blog rolls. This option is only for custom post types though, and there isn’t an option to tell the theme of custom taxonomies (so modules can’t select a custom category taxonomy for example), but I might look into it in the future and see if implementing an option for that is realistic and worth it.

2- The theme has lots of effective locations for ads sprinkled throughout, and every ad option is able to execute shortcodes, so if you install a plugin such as ad rotate to create a rotating ad, you can insert the shortcode you get from it, and it will work with no problems.

Ad locations include the header, end of posts, top of category/tags. and if you build a homepage with the pagebuilder, you can add various sizes throughout the homepage (970×90, 468×60, 728×90, 336×288, 300×250, etc), and of course you have widgets in the sidebar/footer for ads too.

3- The theme also has an option for a “background takeover ad”, which allows you to upload a background image to takeover the site and make it clickable (to any URL). It also has the option to move the actual site content down by X pixels, in case your ad also has something at the top of the image that needs to be shown.
