I purchased yesterday the Knowledge Base WP plugin from you and today the Knowledge Base WP theme with the two included plugins that you offer free of charge.

My question now is what the preferred order of execution is to implement a standard installation.

Should I 1. start with a fresh wp installation ? 2. should I first install the knowledge base theme and install and activate all the plugins that you offer with that theme and then install the knowledge base plugin last ?

Or the other way around ?

Hope you can answer these questions for me

Hi, thank you for your purchases. The theme and the KB plugin are two separate products and the order of installation make no difference at all. Ref clean install, again that has no bearing on the products and its functions, if you prefer to start with clean install to start fresh thats fine but you dont have to. Regards, Ivan

Well first of thank you for clearing that up. However I noticed that importing the demo data for the knowledge base all the data ends up in the regular wordpress pages not in the knowledge pages.

It is not a real big deal breaker but I suppose that is not why you buy a knowledge base plugin after all., Regards Anthony

The theme and the plugin are two separate products solving the same need but in different ways so normally you dont need both products installed at the same time. Theme uses WP posts for KB articles and plugin uses custom post type for KB articles.

Then how to achieve the transparent header through CSS?

This is bit more involved then just transparency, from the top of my head you will also need to modify header and navigation so you may need to get a developer for that.

Hello! I just bought your theme and I imported the demo content with download package but i could not het the EXACT content like your lice demo of the theme. How can I achieve that?

Hi. I figured it out even though I didn’t get the exact demo like your preview, it might be because the manual in the download package is outdated!. However, I have a mother question. I want the top menu header to be transparent in all pages, I don’t want color background. May be there is an option in each page and in the option page to make the header transparent but I get no changes when I enable it. How can I make menu header transparent?

Hi, thank you for your purchase, there is currently no transparent header option for the theme.

I am using the theme on wpcoach.it and I am loving it ( it s MUCH more than a simply KB theme)

may I suggest an Improvement? a small menu on the top of the current on would be extra nice!

I’m setting up this theme for a client and I’m having trouble with the installation. It looks like the styles aren’t loading properly and all I see is mostly unstyled content.

This was a clean brand new installation, additionally I get some “invalid post type” errors while importing the demo data, but the styles looked like that before any demo data was installed so that’s not the cause.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Oscar, insure you have the latest 3.1 version (recently updated). Go to Theme Options and click “Reset All”, this should generate the CSS file. Regards, Ivan

Yes, I read the comments above and updated but that didn’t fix it. Is the missing CSS generated dinamically?

The CSS is compiled dynamically on settings change (colors etc), settings reset and saved in wp-content/uploads/ Check folder permissions.

Hello, I am looking for a the with “tutorials”.. i found this knowledgebase theme and your other processpress. pre-sales question: I like the “processpress” idea, but I am not sure it s ok if I ve to add like 100 / 200 tutorials, and it alerady have like 300+ entry in the database (spread among posts and pages which is better in your opinion for a website which should ideally add a new tutorial evey week or so?

Pre-sale question: We already have a theme on our site. Is there a way for us to include this inside our theme so that it uses our navigation bar? Same style/setup? The only thing we need is same navigation as our original site, on top.

1) Does the search box searches both the knowledge base and FAQ at the same time? I tried and it seems like it does not search the FAQ. Seems like the search for each only searches within it’s own area

Hello, I have had this theme running for a few weeks (after upgrading to the latest version) all of a sudden the site looks different with the header and menu styling being messed up. It doesn’t seem as though the theme options styling is being applied anymore.

Also I am getting an error about missing ss-style.css. I have tried various permissions issues and to create the ss-style.css folder and none of these fixed the issue. Any issues?

Hi, please try changing one of the colors under Theme Options >> Colors, if that doesnt help click “Reset All” under Theme Options. Please avoid using WP customiser as it sometimes also causes the issue, we are currently looking into that, I will also test theme update. Ivan

Thanks, I was able to get everything working again by “Reset All” and then clearing browser cache and then it finally worked. I did that several times but after a couple times it finally worked. Now my only issue with the upgrade is the knowledgebase page is not showing any of the bullet icons for some reason. It shows a normal bulleted list. Is there some reason why the icons would not be pulled properly. As far as I can tell the HTML is correct with the same tags as the demo theme. Thanks in advance!
