This is breaking my head.. Im trying to add a nice hero above a woocommerce product using the (awesome) salient theme and I can see that there are custom fields on the product page called vc_teaser, total_sales, nectar-metabox-portfolio-display etc. What are these and how to use them? Do these make it possible to add a nectar slider above the product?

As of now you can only add a slider in the content area of a product if you’re using the alt tabbed display as available in the woocommerce options tab of the Salient options panel: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-ecommerce/product/large-button-down/

1) How do i get a middle big image on blog like this : http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-blog/ (so far big masonry images left or right aligned only for me)
2) Can i do 6 items instead of 4 max and keep the big images spanning 2 wide? this way my images tiled are full-screen-width but at “full-background type” sizing (not as big as the 4-across).

1. The new update offers a new masonry style which you can select in the Salient options panel > blog options tab
2. this would require some js/css modding as of now unfortunately
Feature Suggestion:
1) Would it be possible to get a fullwidth portfolio option that supports 3 max columns. Currently there is only a default setting for “Contrain Max Columns to 4”.
2) For Portfolio options it would be AMAZING if we could have a project style that allowed us to overlay an image of our choosing (think client logo) instead of Meta info.
3) It would also be awesome if we could also add a sub-text underneath our portfolio item title (in the header) on single portfolio pages.

Hi, How can i create the parallax scroll displayed in your one page demo? I’d like the links in the nave to scroll down to sections on the home page…
Thank you but it appears this video is outdated. VC doesn’t give you the option to add an ID to a row anymore. However, i was able to work around this by wrapping the rows in a Div with an ID. This works well when on the home page. However, when i try to link to a section from an indivdual page the page doesn’t scroll to the appropriate section. I have the links set as ”/#about”. Please visit: http://2015.blossomveils.com/stores-2/ then click on “Press” or “About Us” and you will see the issue. Please advise…
Hey – Make sure you’re using the Salient version of VC since the raw version doesn’t allow that. Also when using anchors like that since you have other pages, use the full URL such as http://domain.com/#anchor instead of just #anchor
Thank you, i changed to the Salient VC. However, that did not resolve this scrolling issue. Again, it works fine when i’m on the same page. However, it does not when coming from another page. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

You’re latest update really screwed up my entire site…. Why did you get rid of the full width color sections?
When a boxed template is selected, and then a full width row is selected, the content does not display… Please help.
Also, Parallax Header does not work… this update really screwed me over. Is there anyway I can go back to 5.0?
I have narrowed it down to a lot of functions do not work in Chrome. FF and safari are ok, but Chrome it does not display like it should.
Hey, these are not known issues with 5.5+ – please ensure that you’ve done a clean update by deleting the old version first before uploading the new. Also make sure your cache is cleared in your browser. If that doesn’t work please share your URL in regards

I have created a page with the Portfolio Template. I have almost achieved much customization that i wanted to.
Just two things i need to be fixed asap.
1. Above the portfolio items, on the extreme left side, there is a current category Label, that is displaying “All”. I want to change it to label “Featured”. I tried to edit the template-portfolio.php and put it in child theme. But it is not reflecting the changes.
2. I want a two column layout instead of default three column. Here is my page: http://hqvisual.com/workPlease help me asap. Its urgent.

1. Do you mean to say i need to edit the shortcode-processing.php file in the parent theme folder. That is not a genuine thing to do, as it will affect future updates. I edited the shortcode-processing.php and put it in the same directory path under child theme, but it did not worked out. Path under child theme: /wp-content/themes/salient-child/nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php

Hi Fantastic Salient Team! I’ve used your theme multiple times and it is just fantastic, you can easily modify ANYTHING to your specific design using the page builder. About that page builder. When I make a row inside a row, and try to give it a background (different from the parent row) it almost works. But it stretches the background and repeats it. Once in the settings of a row IN a row, you can’t select no-repeat or align center… I really need this, do you guys have a fix? Thanks!

I have added the following code in custom css to make pre format fixed-width:
pre { width: 300px!important; }
It is not working for me. The SQL code in this post: http://stormatics.com/howto-use-json-functionality-in-postgresql/ is in pre format. As you can see, it is not fixed-width.

Also is it possible to move a image to the right on the mobile version for nector slider, on mobile it cuts the part we want off but on the computer the image is fine.

I’m having some trouble with my menu as I’m trying to point it to my anchor tags. When I click on the drop down for http://www.cityinnovate.org/about#boardmembers it links to http://www.cityinnovate.org/#boardmembers instead.
However, when I’m on the same about page, the anchor link works and shows up the same (http://www.cityinnovate.org/about#boardmembers)
How do I resolve this?

I have a problem regarding the home page. I have set the salient home page to be a static page. In this case I have created the page named Home and select it to be the home page, however, I created another page which is not called Home and automatically appears as a new homepage.
