Small issue again with portfolio : On this page : http://jeromemayer.com/portfolio/ The page displays all categories (finally ok for my customer)
But the older jobs are displayed on the top fof the page. I can’t find where I can invert the order, for displaying newest category on top of the page ( jobs 2015-2014)

I am wondering whether I can upload numerous images and make numerous nectar slides all at once.
I can’t seem to work out how and i’d like to use it to show of a full portfolio of images of a house, often over 20 images at a time but it seems pretty painstaking doing each one individually by clicking add slide for each one.
If not, what slider software do you recommend that works well for this and works well with your theme? Grant

You could use the Visual Composer image gallery element to handle this – there’s an option to use the Nectar Slider style in there

The mobile version of my website (www.onthewallshots.com) is not working properly. It’s not being caused by any plugins or because my Wordpress or Salient versions are outdated, they are both the most recent, updated versions. This happened to another one of my websites and after a few days it started working properly again but this particular site has been down for weeks now and still no results despite my various efforts. Please help.

I’m seeing a different theme being used for mobile devices – this is either coming from a plugin you have active or a feature your hosting company has activated for you

None of the plugins that I have are causing this issue. I have deactivate all of them several times, even deleting a few, and the issue still remains. And the hosting platform that I use does not utilize such features. The same thing happened with another one of my websites and then days later it went away. I’m sure it is something with the Salient theme, I just don’t know what the issue is.
From what I’m seeing on your site – it looks exactly like the jetpack mobile theme:

So it looks like a couple of new updates came out for the woo commerce plugin but I keep getting that error about.
The new update now has a report log feature and this is the result of that log.

Hi,
I want to insert an image into the body of a post, and resize it to a custom size. So I insert the picture, then hover over it, choose ‘edit’, and choose a custom pixel size. However, when I do this, the image only displays as ‘Medium’ size on the post. The custom pixel size doesn’t seem to take effect.
Is there a way to get this to work? Many thanks.

You’ll see the image of a book with a play button half way down the post, aligned to the right. And even though I edited the image in the post to display at a custom dimension of 196×140, the image won’t display at this resolution. It will only display as ‘full size’, ‘medium’ or ‘thumbnail’.

you could either use css to set the image size to override the default responsive nature or you could remove this line:width: auto;from this section:
.row .col img {
margin-bottom: 15px;
max-width: 100%;
width: auto;
height: auto;
}
in the style.css file

Hello, While using the Salient Wordpress theme I have 40 nectar-milestone elements. My client would like to know if it’s possible to populate all 40 nectar-milestone elements at once, or do they have to populate them one at a time. If they can populate all 40 of them at once, then how can my client or I do that? Thank you!

Well, it’s more like if my client or myself goes into the theme (on the back-end), and we want to change the data on all the milestone elements at once (in compassion to one-at-a-time). It’s almost like if we could upload a document, css or excel file, instead of having to change each piece of data one at a time.

Ah I just checked on Firefox and you’re right (Chrome doesn’t work on my machine for some reason). The one it’s showing like that on is Safari.

We use the one page demo, but when entering a crawl request inside Google Webmastertools, only the slider on top is displayed.
So all other content will not be read by Google. Is this because of the lazy load?
Can we disable this?

the theme doesn’t actually use lazy load for content or images – the portfolio or blog has the option for infinite scrolling, but everything other than that appears in the DOM normally. Could you kindly share a URL in regards?

Would just like to do a follow up re the uber menu, was playing around with this on the weekend using ubers integration documentation however all the code they were refering to in salients header.php wasnt there?
Is the latest version of salient compatible with ubermenu and if so were would i find the latest integration doc for the latest theme?

how does one merge two pages together the best?
I was assuming i could perhaps copy and paste the code from each page.
The used to be viewed as an options with previous Salient version however the update seems to have removed this from the Visual composer options.

Hey here- is there a way to get the Grid Portfolio display to use only the Featured Image as opposed to the alternate Thumbnail? Right now Portfolio Grid ignores “Tall & Wide” (2x), why not ignore the Alt Thumb altogether?
I want to use both displays: Homepage showing Masonry Full-width with some Tall and Wide images for variation -
Then another longer page that shows a grid-only, using the Featured image FIRST, not looking to see if there’s an Alt thumbnail image attached… (i’m using all square images for Feature)
Otherwise, the grid looks stupid with wide and tall alt images mixed into the square images…. thanks!

the custom thumb will always be used instead of the featured image when it is supplied since that is the purpose of it – changing this would require some modding to the shortcode-processing.php file located in the nectar/tinymce directory

hmm… ok so without tweaking hat file i guess i have to make more dummy sections…
the Alt thumbnail is great, but in the Portfolio Widget there should be a reflection of that option – letting the user choose whether to use it or not so we can have variation in displays…
