I pasted the javascript in that spot and it didn’t work, I am calling for the function with a <script src=””> to the init.js file immediately above the html for the form. Is there anything I should be doing differently?

If you need to include a script like that you could just add it into the js element within your visual composer on the page needed. If you need to have it added to all pages you could paste it into the header.php file in the head tag

Salient v5.5 has separated Visual Composer into a plugin and is no longer automatically built in – this means when you activate the theme you’ll have to still install the Visual Composer plugin via the admin panel (there will be a prompt at the top of your screen). Cheers!

Hey Mark, there was an issue with the slider ordering page for one release and it was then fixed in the following one – if you’re on a relatively new version of the theme it shouldn’t be blank. To a non boxed layout. I can see where you can for a boxed layout, but wasn’t sure for the non boxed layout.

Hey again – you could use visual composer rows to set a BG on any sectioning in a page or you could use a line of css to globally change every page to use a custom bg if desired

So do you recommend that I just deactivate the home slider images and create a nectar slider. Then take my 3 images that I was using for my home slider and create a project category for the images? It was the home slider that I am having problems with the scaling of images.

Yes, you’d need to switch your page template back to the default one instead of using one of the home ones – then you could create the Nectar Slides in a similar way you did the home ones and finally add the Nectar Slider on your page via the Visual Composer page builder or by a shortcode

Any news? I am using W3 Total Cache, my GooglePageSpeed insights are good as well and 128MB cache should be fine for this small portfolio page. What else can I do? It is a relatively small problem, but whatever portfolio-page I built with the new VC it just doesn’t load the correct layout. With other sides I do not have any problems like this, just within the portfolio! In the private ticket I attached two images where you can see that the ”::before” is missing in the first page load.

My provider just set my cache temporarily up to 512 MB and the problem was still there. So it is not a performance problem at all.

I’m getting that error along with other similar ones on the admin dashboard and whenever I visit the site. I’ve manually stopped all plugins and the error is still there. Switching to a default WordPress theme cleared the errors.

The other errors are the same but instead of “Page Sidebar” and “sidebar-2” they are “Blog Sidebar, WooCommerce Sidebar, Footer Area 1, Footer Area 2, Footer Area 3 and Footer Area 4” with respective, “sidebar-1, sidebar-3, sidebar-4, sidebar-5, sidebar-6 and sidebar-7”.
