Hi—
I have a few questions about using your theme.
I have my front page set up to to display the latest posts in a three column masonry style. Each entry should display a featured image, the post title, categories and the read more link. It displays this way in the customizer but not on the live site (yes, I’ve saved my changes). The live site only displays the featured image and the post title.
Also, the widgets in the sidebar and footer display properly in the customizer but they do not display at all on the live site.
Can you provide any help here? Thanks!

Firstly, I’m greatly impressed with the theme. It looks fantastic. I just have one question, before buying. If I’m using the Sun theme, can I change the image sizes on the homepage? I want to use 6 images representing sections of my portfolio that are both landscape and portrait and I would like to re-size accordingly.

I’m glad that you like Cufo Theme. Yes you can change image sizes on homepage, to demonstrate that better please watch this short video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GekSBUR-_NY but in this case all the images will be with the same dimensions (means – landscape or portrait).
In other case, if you want to have mixed layout – Landscape & Portrait on one page (homepage) you can use Masonry Metro layout like on this demo: http://wp-royal.com/cufo/earth/
Don’t forget you can make combinations between demos, no limits.

By saying you can make combinations between demos, do you mean I could take the sidebar/logo from the Sun theme, and mix it with the image layout of the Masonry Metro layout?

Sure, you can combinate everything you see on different demos and get new UNIQUE design. Everything depends on you and 90% of those combinations are done from the Theme Customizer (all theme options are there, need something? search there)

I’ve been playing around with the theme for the past few hours. It’s FANTASTIC.
Really really happy. Just one question, my logo works perfect on the desktop, but on Mobile, it’s text. I can’t seem to get it to show my logo.

Thanks for the kind words. if logo is not showing up on your mobile phone it means that your device is a high resolution, so in that case you need to upload Retina 2x logo.
Go to the Theme Customizer > Logo & Tagline section and upload 2x logo from there.

Trying to activate my visual composer plugin — It keeps telling me “Invalid liense key. Please check information in your envato profile.”
Double checked both the API key from my Envato Settings as well as the License key I downloaded after I purchased the Cufo theme and I’m still getting this error. Lil help?

you do NOT need to activate any plugin which comes with Cufo Theme, they are all FREE. Please just skip the activation, everything will work fine.

And, I mean, the back ground color of the texts in portfolio. It is always in grey even I changed the content background color.
Check this its in body section of customizer http://goo.gl/h250WQ, about slideshow you need to create new page and set that page to be displayed as front page (in wordpress settings>reading) , then create new slide and add this slide to that page. that’s all
Thanks for the information about text color!! I used a plugin called nextgengallery to make sliders for the front page but it doesn’t work and only appears in the background color area. What I want is to make the image occupy the whole page. I know the reading setting and I did that. So can you tell me how to add slide to a page? Is that simply create a page and insert image as media? I use Venus theme, but am unable to customize that. This is what I get when hit the customize button:

Can you help please? Its happening since install. We tried to install again. Same issue. We have researched and tried to enhance the upload size (I think). I am a newbie, but my friend who installed it is a web designer and he couldn’t find how to fix this….

Hi, two weeks ago I purchased your Cufo theme, it was love at first sight.
I have got a couple of problems about the gallery customisation (I’m using the Jupiter style) I would like to know how to make it so that some portfolio posts appear in a lightbox and others don’t. Once inside a post, I have problems with the slidebox: the images’ proportions tend to be resized and I cannot choose their size. Plus, in the preview the arrows to skip the image appear but don’t appear in the final web. If you set lightbox functionality on your protflio – it means that all posts will be opened in the lightbox.
2. If “slidebox” images have different sizes you should fix that via uploading images with the same height and they will be displayed perfectly. Arrows to skip images are disable by Custom CSS code, you can enable it with new Custom CSS snippet, go to Theme Customizer -> Custom CSS (section) and copy/paste this code snippet there:
.gallery-arrow{display:block !important;}3. to remove title from single posts go to Theme Customizer -> Custom CSS (section) and copy/paste this code snippet there too:

Thanks! I thought I was all finished with the site but have just noticed a problem.. I designed it in chrome but when viewing in safari it changes and uses the stacked mobile version rather than the gallery. This is a problem because it blows up all the images and distorts them. ohh i understand now thank you for the quick response was hoping to include it in the top menu bar but realize you have to click on the plus sign to drop down the widgets. is there any way to input directly the contact form in the widget?
With theme you can’t do that but there should be some plugins for that on worpdress plugin repository, thanks

I’m having some difficulty with the google map. I believe I’m supposed to change it in the Cufo Customizer section > contact page > google map. I’m confused with what am I supposed to change in order for the map to change to my location. Are they by coordinates or embedding the google map codes? Please advise. Thanks in advanced.

As there is given example of how to set up google map location: “London, England” <- this means you should write your Country first and then separate by coma and write your City. I hope it will be very easy for you.

You can not merge blog posts and work but you can display blog posts with the same layout (image sizes).
Currently you can not add contact information on the homepage, but it will be available soon in future updates.

You can insert them as work but you can set masonry metro layout for blog posts too. Blog page can be a homepage for your website but i don’t know what you mean by that..
Got it. I did the test drive and saw that the blog can be configured as masonry.
But need to display on the homepage works and blog articles. Loved the CUFO and would be great if I could display that way.

You can purchase Cufo Theme from here and do with it what you want change/modify etc. But if you want to get rights for modifing and changing illustrations you should purchase this item: http://graphicriver.net/item/set-of-flat-design-business-concepts-/9024018 from other author and ask him what you can do with those images.

Hi, I think that you should give “2x width” to that post from its own post oprions (from dashboard). That option will be in the Masonry Metro Layout metabox.. hope you will find it. Cheers

You should create Video Posts with Youtube/Vimeo embed code. Read more info here: http://wp-royal.com/cufo/docs/#post-formats
After that you already have Video Posts you need to set your portfolio posts to open images in lightbox, which depends on your demo/design. If it is not already enabled, go to Theme Customizer -> Portfolio Page (section) -> Media (tabs) and set firt option to “Open Lightbox Popup” after that save and exit.

Ah “Earth” ok, Go to Theme Customizer -> Portfolio Page (section) -> Image Effects (tabs) -> Overlay Click – set to “Opens Lightbox Popup” . This should fix your issue

Is there a way to combine Lightbox & single page in same portfolio?
Yes, You can move Post Title to below/above thumbnails or enable Read More button.
Go to Theme Customizer -> Portfolio Page (section) -> enable(check) More Info (tabs) and then change “More Info Type” to “Read More”. After all that Read More button will be displayed at the botom of each post, which will take you to single post page.

If you mean by “homepage” this – http://www.cronos24.es/ and by “portfolio page” this – http://www.cronos24.es/portfolio/items/memoria-lfp/ and if you mean Post Filters by “categories” – in this case I should tell you that we can’t do that. I can hide Post Filters (categories) on “homepage” but can NOT display them on “portoflio page”.
Actually the terminology is little bit different there but I was using those words how you explained me and placed them in -> ””.
So if I understand everything correctly that is my answer.

It is not possible for now, because you can not insert portfolio grid in the page builder. But there will be theme update very soon and it will include Portfolio Grid Premium plugin and with that you will accomplish what you wish.

Dear Royal-Flush. Your theme is great! My problem is that my contents is centered on my page. I would like to change it to be left aligned close to my sidebarmenu. I use cufo child theme and found out to solve this with the css code below. My question is if its possible to add my own custom theme to the “page attributes” section i wordpress admin. (to be used instead of the “default template”)? If not, what are the alternatives?

Thanks for the awesome theme, I just got a couple questions if you could help me please.
1- I can’t figure out how I can remove the map from the contact page 2- I added some video format portfolio singles, added a featured image, uploaded the video using local host, the video works fine when I enter the single page, however from the portfolio page, when I click the featured image, I would like to be able to play the video from there and not having to enter to the page, because now all I see when I click is the featured image become bigger.

1. You can remove Google Map from Theme Customizer -> Contact Page (section) -> Google Map uncheck that checkbox and it will be disabled.
2. If you have latest update of Cufo theme, your video posts should open Videos on lightbox not Bigger Images. Like here: http://wp-royal.com/cufo/neptune/ click on “Video Embed” post thumbnail and you will see the result.

Normally the videos I added are self hosted, do you mean I should switch back to embeded and copy past my self-hosted link in there?

Ah Self-Hosted.. Currently selft hosted videos are not supported in lightbox, Sorry for that. But you can always embed youtube/vimeo videos and display them in lightbox rather then open in single page.

An other solution could be having the self hosted video inside the page, and the youtube/vimeo video outside when you click the video, is that possible ? meaning without having both inside the page?

1. Why you simply don’t make video posts with youtube/vimeo inside/outside? Cos you cant insert embed code outside and self hosted inside. You should choose between. And btw self-hosted videos are slowing down your server
