Hi I just want to know that why there is no comment form under the standard blog with no sidebar posts? Im designing my own home page and I added the blog section via visual composer and “the standard blog with no sidebar” option, but there is no comment box under the post ( which shows the comments people did and making a new comment box… Thank u…
And just a point that I want to add, my posts are not excerpt I wanted to show the full post, so I need this comment box under the post…

by default comment forms will only appear on the single post page for each post – could you please share your URL in regards so I can take a look?

text-shadow: 0px 0px 20px black
Or whatever value you want (probably a form to customize this value will be great) into the HEADING css attributes
This because “heading” text on complex picture is hard to be read both in light and dark theme. The shadow will easily pop out from picture the title!

It would have been nice if you guys created an option to change the color of the background of the site, which properly affects all features including toggles, tabs, etc.
I’m spending a fortune on having to acquire a web developer to create all this CSS that I have to pay him more each time you modify CSS code on the theme.
Your competitor Bridge has told me they have an option to switch the background color by just clicking a button in the backend of the theme. You’ve been around longer. I’ve asked about this before but no interest by your company to do this. Avada also has options to assign colors to different sections of the site.
So instead I’m paying “a lot” of money slamming more expensive CSS code in the CSS section.
When are you guys stepping up to the game like these other theme developers and offering such a feature?
Also, I have to spend a lot of money to have the theme optimized as it’s a massive multi-purpose theme jammed with a lot of extras not needed.
Salient is my favorite theme. All this CSS is costing tons of money when you guys can really make some more flexible options. And yes, I like your support that you guys give. There is just a serious wishlist I have. I have a good developer I hire on to do all this custom CSS code, but this is getting really expensive when you guys can make standard options to avoid all this excessive CSS code to do what should be simple and automatically built into the theme..

the BG color can be changed globally with this line of css if you don’t want to control it via VC rows:.container-wrap, .project-title { background-color: #000!important; }

I’m referring to a global color change which also properly affects toggles, tabs and other many features. I hired on my web developer to add tons of code to make all of this happen yet at the moment, I still don’t have the toggle version where on a black site the toggle background shows black so that the white text can show up.

Hello, there is no option to edit the page. The issue does not arise with regular independent, customizable pages, it arises on the landing pages in which you can find all the posts attributed to a particular author or category. The “Fresh out the Oven” header is a default setting that I can not figure out how to get rid of. I am surprised more people haven’t brought it to your attention or perhaps they have and I am just not explaining the issue well enough.
Sorry I didn’t realize it was an archive page – archive pages in the blog will inherit the header settings from the page you’ve defined as your posts page. Edit that page and remove the header to clear it
The latest update completely breaks my site. I’m at a loss , what with ThemeForest urging me to update my themes and plugins. I can’t even find the older version of Salient that used to work and my site remains broken
Hey – Salient v5.5 has separated Visual Composer into a plugin and is no longer automatically built in – this means when you activate the theme you’ll have to still install the Visual Composer plugin via the admin panel (there will be a prompt at the top of your screen). Cheers!
Any updates to become compatible with “Squarespace”? I am using the “Marquee” template and though it has parallax scrolling, I would like to integrate video as well. Any idea how to do so on their platform with Nectar?
Hey – Salient is only a WP theme, if you’re referring to getting a port to squarespace unfortunately there are no plans for that as of now.
One of my clients was using Salient and after doing some work for them, I liked it and have suggested it to many other clients over the past several months. For several reasons I will no longer be suggesting it to my clients. The one that annoys me most often and is really annoying me today is that you have placed ”!important” in your css for practically EVERYTHING and we always have a hard time overriding it. SUPER ANNOYING.
By the way I would say that the second most annoying thing is that there are less design settings than most themes have. One example, “Accent Color” is not a good way to offer color options (4). Anyone who’s used Avada (and spoiled) and then Salient probably feels the same – Salient has far too few settings.

Weird bug on this latest update. For some reason every time I try to work on a particular page it takes about 20 seconds or so for VC to populate which is highly annoying. The page pops up the first 20 seconds with some jargon that says.

Well, I mean that if I use the “next post” function in one post written for example on 23/1/2015, then the next post will be that written on 20/1/2015, that is the previous one.

6 days between every answer? Seriously? Since now 3 weeks we work on my ticket #408114 and still no solution in sight. This is not what I expected when I purchased your theme.
Worse: Since now 2 weeks I am waiting for an answer (better: a solution) for my second Ticket: #410339.
Meanwhile this is absolutely frustrating.
