Is there a way to have the homepage change automatically? We’re a church and stream live and would like our home page to change when we’re live. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
Hey – change in what regard? Are you referring to simply removing a maintenance page you may have or populating different data based on some criteria?
Have the homepage change from the usual home page to a page that says “We’re Live” with a button for where to watch us. Actually schedule the home page to be a different page during certain days and times. I’m going into Settings/Reading and changing the static page. This may not be a theme question but wondering how to do this automatically. Thanks.

Hi, got a pre-sale question, how to mimic the home/landing page in product description page? You know, there’s the add to cart button near top, then I want a guided, parallax scrolling, interactive e.g. fly-in text, pop up icons, embedded short video, etc. detailed description instead of just a plain paragraph or words. I know the page builder works for landing page but what about in woocommerce?

How can I get the the Woo Commerce product page to look just like regular salient post/pages? All I need is to be able to upload the ‘Page Header Image’ so that all pages on the site are consistent.

Great looking theme! Before I purchase anything I have two questions.
1) Can this site be converted into a One-Page scrolling site, where the user would still use the menu to navigate from page to page but it would physically be all stacked into one page.
2) I want the Meet the Team section to have some flexibility, if possible. I would like to feature three main photos with descriptions but then the rest of the team can be smaller and just have a simple overlay with their name and title…I’m wondering if this is also possible. If someone could get back to me, that would great.

Hey! Thanks a lot for answering my questions. Sorry if they were super obvious. I was able to purchase the theme through a different account but I have two additional questions I was hoping you could take a look at.
1) This company used your theme but it looks like they developed their own menu in the upper right hand corner. Any idea how? I assume this is not something that comes standard with Salient: http://www.gearylsf.com/
2) And two, for some reason NONE of my tabs are showing any of the content within the tab itself. I create a set of tabs, I see the tabs on the site, but I don’t see the content that I placed within the tabs. Any idea why?

I’ve got a few mod questions please.. .. .
1-My site has a red 400 pixel space above the portfolio section. I was wondering how to remove that and the white 50 pixel space below the portfolio section?
2-Is there a way to alter the look of the progress bars? I’d really like them to be a little bit thicker and less rounded around the corners. I’d to also change the color of the background before the percentage value appears.
3-I’d like to change the sort portfolio font to Lovelo and increase the overall size some. Also, in the client section where it says “some friends that I’ve worked with “I’d like that font to be Lovelo as well. BTW- Is there a standard line of code to use in the event I wanted to change the text in a certain section of the site without effecting the text used for the H tags?

1. It seems you have a page header BG set – kindly edit that page and remove the color selection you have in the page header settings metabox and any blank spaces that may be in the title/subtitle
2. Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

Some of the code didn’t work. The size of the progress bars were successfully changed, but the corner radii are still there. Ideally I’d like them sharp. Also, I didn’t see anything in the line of code to change the white background color.
So ideally I’d like to customize the colors for the percentage bars, the background color and to make the corners sharp.
Also the lovelo font was successfully changed but I’d also like to change the color (hover state included) and size as well.

OK so I fiddled around with your code somewhat and I solved why the radius value wasn’t changing. All I did was change the “none” to a value of 0.
At this point I just need to customize the color for the background of the percentage bars, change the font to Lovelo, and change the sort portfolio text color, hover state and size as well.

Seems like a lot of irregularities with Chrome. Each time a refresh or do a hard refresh, seems like the text changes and runs off the page, and then upon refresh, it works fine. Doing the same thing, the top bar of the header gets about 10px of space on the left, then upon refresh, it goes back. Weird. Thoughts?

Let me do some more research, I updated from “4.something”, can’t remember so it may just have something to do with coming from so far behind to 5.5. The theme is certainly one of the best ones out there..
It’s http://www.flmetalbuildings.com/. I turned off all plugins and did all the normal stuff to check, made sure the plugins came from the updated download as well that are packaged.
Hey again – could you kindly provide a screenshot showing the text disappearing issue since I haven’t been able to replicate it yet. Also could you kindly try turning off the smooth scrolling option in your theme options panel to see if it helps your header alignment?

Hey – you’d need to import the dummy data from the ecommerce dummy data set to get that page. Also if you import the theme options file into the import tab in the Salient options panel you’ll get all the same options active
I did and those 4 images from the home page when clicked lead me to the portfolio.
You can use a vc gallery element instead which will allow you to have the same style if you would prefer to enter custom URL links in there instead of using the external URL option within the projects in a portfolio element

Hey – it’s located inside of the visual composer page builder as an element, as long as you’re using a version of the theme that’s been released within the past year you should have access to it

I have the .mo and .po files for a danish translation and I’ve put them in the child theme under /lang so I won’t loose them during the next theme update. And in order to get them to work, I’ve put this code ind my child themes functions.php:<?php load_child_theme_textdomain( 'Salient', get_stylesheet_directory() . '/lang' ); ?>
It doesn’t work however, so I hope you can help me out.

NECTAR_THEME_NAME is a constant that is defined in the parent theme functions.php that will in turn be read as “salient” – so if you don’t want to use that, change your Salient to be lowercase

1. Again that would be a matter of integrating all that code listed in the page into the init.js file located in the js folder, the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel and then the image classes given on the actual img tags in your editor
2. Unfortunately this customization goes a bit beyond what I can personally give – have you checked out Envato studio?

Posted this awhile ago, but never got around to doing it. What I’ve got is a text block with a input field in it. I want to clear the text which is in the input box on selection, and replace it on unslection if nothing is in there. When pasting JS in to the editor, it removes it. Is there another way?
