Gallery mode seems to include all images in media folder no matter what album setting I choose. Documentation doesn’t mention anything, is this a bug? I don’t have any other plug ins other than a coming soon page.

Hi am using the latest build of the7 & visual composer from 5-6 days. I had no problems till today but all of a sudden my visual composer has stopped showing design options under column settings. I haven’t touched any setting or theme option related to this.

Hi there, I purchased the7 Theme which comes with your awesome Ultimate Add-on plugin. When using Parallax Backgrounds for some unknown reason when selecting “turn off” parallax on mobile phones option, Parallax is still appearing on mobile? Is there a fix or solution for this? I would post in the support section but because I bought it with a theme I do not have a license number to sign up. Any help would be much appreciated. If you can give me a code I can put to disable all parallax on mobile this would be awesome!

Usually, theme authors customize things a bit before integrating plugins in the theme; so for accurate answers, it is recommended that questions for the plugins you get bundled with the theme – should be asked to the theme author himself.

I’m currently evaluating two themes, this and Enfold. Your two themes look very similar and seem to do similar things, so I just wondered if you’d answer a couple of queries I have.
Does this theme work properly with the wp job manager plugin? Are you aware of any buyers who have tried to integrate this plugin into this theme and whether they had any issues? Do you have the urls of any sites that used the plugin with this theme? I’d love to see the outcome. Are there any reasons why this plugin might not work?
Also, do you have a theme showcase in general, to show those sites (who agree to it) using your theme? It would be good to be able to see how it is used ‘in the wild’, and the performance achieved by real users. Your demo loads (run through the tester several times and confirmed by test history) in between 6-7 seconds and scores a B every time, with 144 requests, compared to an average of 90 a year ago. It seems to be putting on weight…!
I imagine most people will delete some of the normal feature bloat associated with demos on themeforest and so performance could be different, and I’m sure lots of people must be interested in that sort of thing.
Also, is it possible for you to see a backend demo? I have used some themes that are painfully slow in the backend, so slow you’re tempted to cut your wrists while working. I see your recent upgrade has addressed this very issue, but I can’t see how to test it. Maybe there is already a backend demo?
I see the theme uses the visual composer plugin. Am I right in thinking this is only used for page creation and can therefore be deleted once pages have been designed? Is this a necessary plugin, or just an option?
This looks like a nice theme and I would just like to clarify a few things before deciding whether to buy. Thanks for the help.

We have no dedicated data regarding “wp job manager” plugin. But The7 users describes theme as “extremely plugins receptive”. I assume that plugin will work fine, but will require a bit of custom CSS styling to match the theme perfectly.

Regarding 144 requests vs 90 a year ago. Theme quickly evolves; new features and compatible plugins were added to it during this year. That’s why The7 demo is kinda monstrous 
Real world sites (especially ones that at least somewhat optimized using caching plugins) are MUCH faster.

If you build page using a Visual Composer – you cannot disable it. In this case instead of your rows/columns/shortcodes you’ll get the “[shortcode]-mess”. Our native shortcodes (ones that extends Visual Composer) will still work fine though.
Generally speaking Enford and The7 are completely different themes (all that is written below is MHO):
Enfold is supposed to be built using “less is more” approach. Its code is quite tidy, clean and simple. Same with settings and features. For this reason I personally like this theme a lot and have great respect for Christopher and his team. From all themes in ThemeForest top 10 list (excluding The7) Enfold is my favorite.
In the same time The7 is more like “I can do whatever you want me to” theme. In terms of features, customizability and design option The7 simply blows the socks off its competitors. Though there’re loads of features, options and settings its interfaces are intuitive and theme is easy to use (otherwise we simply would not have that solid 5 stars rating). But if you are a developer who is digging into theme code – The7 will be considerably harder to customize (simply because more features requires more code).
According to google page speed tools, Enfold demo is about 7-10% faster than The7, and we consider it small price for all the possibilities The7 provides.
Also consider the fact that The7 is the only WP theme in ThemeForest top 10 list that do not run any ads at all (!) This tells of something, right?
Nice that someone gave an honest opinion about another theme. Thank you. I know Enfold too and have used it once before – I often use another (work) account to buy. I do however find it a bit too slow in the backend.
No, I’m not a developer, though I have 50-60 sites of my own. I’m just someone who hates wordpress with a passion (it’s so slow and there’s the bugfix twice a day at teatime) but need it for certain sites. I’m trying to find something that is stable, quick in operation (front AND backend) and can be relied upon.
I also want to be able to delete as much of the excess as possible; the bits I don’t want or need. I know from personal experience that this can be almost impossible in some themes without expert help.

LOL. I know what you’re talking about. These were exactly my thoughts 5-6 years ago.
But the beauty of making a site without writing a single line of code (in most cases) is what makes WordPress no. 1 CMS in the world.
BTW, regarding “excess” features. We’re going to release a major update in month or two which will allow people to selectively disable post types and theme options pages with all associated CSS and JavaScript.
Ref the latter, excellent… It’s about time somebody did it, so I hope it pays off..

I have a company with a friend. he bought this theme for our website. we have a vps server with 4 processors and 4 GB of ram. and the site is very slow. to scroll it. from top to bottom or from bottom to top. scrooll using the mouse.
and already used in other servers just like that. and yet has the slow pace. also used in godaddy, hostgator, digital ocean. and this the same thing.
We tested the latest version and the penultimate and the result was the same.

I LOVE you guys!! This theme just rules over all the rest. It’s the third one that I bought. The first one quit making updates and went away. The second had java script errors they refused to address that crashed my whole site and had to be uninstalled from my hosting and I lost everything. And then I found, (chorus of angels singing “Ahhhhhhhhh!” and the light goes on) The 7 by the Dream Theme. And it’s so fabulous. I haven’t completely finished uploading all of our content, but I’ve been getting compliments on our site because of you guys. When I had a small issue, you guys fixed it immediately—and I just couldn’t be happier. Your updates are super quick, they work, they don’t screw up the stuff I have. Yay!! You CAN use the theme without VC. However theme demo was created using Composer, therefore most of demo content well be useless.

This is the issue, we are not using the picture I must of installed the demo content and left the picture in the media, this company have gone on my site and gone under archives and its sitting there with demo content, I didn’t even know it was there until I received this letter from them. The picture is named dt-008.jpg not sure if that helps. I purchased your theme a while back now.

Important! Images on demo (except images in Compact Dummy, Landing page, Layer and Revolution Sliders) are copyrighted and you cannot use them without purchasing proper licenses. We do not distribute them in theme package. You must refuse importing media files during content installation. We are not responsible for any possible copyright infringement.

I couldn’t even find it on admin only until I looked in the media.. they found it under Author Archives and next to the picture is dummy content, again I didn’t know it existed. I have a fine for £268! I have also emailed you with the link to the picture

@LAVision They are very dedicated to this theme… both versions of theme(s) legacy and new MK2 versions are continuously updated within reason when updates are needed… come on people it the7 does way more than you could ever do on your own for only $58 dollars unless you are a PHP programmer which you shouldn’t bitch at all… plus support… if they create a new theme then great… I will buy it too… realistically code and technology will get old and you will have to update your site accordingly… the top theme makers will try to keep it as up to date as possible and at some point will have to retire it to use the new methods when old ones are not feasible…
