Little problems: installed and put it on the right place but can’t see:
currency block, language block. also there is no right coloumn in the product page. What did i wrong?
Thank you for purchasing my theme. You need to add new languages and currencies. After that you can see the currency and language block. Also make sure the blocks are installed, enabled and positioned correctly. There is a screenshot in the documentation about the correct module positions. It’s in the manual installation section.
For the right column you need to install Top seller block or Viewed products block. And you need to hook one of them to the Right Column.
If you need further help please use the support system. I can be more helpful in there.
how I can update the theme?
Copying only the folder autumn?
Clean installation would be so much better. New version has a lot of changes both in theme itself and in custom modules. You can copy the autumn folder but you must uninstall and delete all of the custom modules and then install the new ones. Prestashop needs to write some configurations to the database. Also there are new image sizes.
I didn’t prepared any update guide because of the major changes updating the theme is not different from the clean installation. It’s just confusing and might cause some problems.
Beautiful looking and features. I’ve just set it up with PrestaShop. I see there’s an update dated Feb 9, 2013. Does that mean its coming tomorrow or am I just that far behind in time zones?
I downloaded the file to reinstall the new version before starting my shop configurations but I only seem to be able to download the Feb 7, 2013 version (as per the change log). Is there somewhere else to download?
Thank you for your kind words. It’s because of the time zones. Also I think I might be forgot to update the change log inside the zip file.
Please check the autumn.css file on line 2206. If it’s margin-top:102px; then you have the latest version.
I will update the change log as soon as possible.
Sorry about the confusion.
I didn’t finish a sentence propery earlier! Fantastic features! Its the most unique theme I’ve seen, even after looking through all the hundreds on PrestaShops add on site. Please make more as I have a few small stores to set up and I would love to have your talent make them all shine! I will download. Not a big deal and not that confusing at all. You are so quick to respond so thanks! And it was funny looking at my Mac and seeing Feb 8th but your update was Feb 9th. Without enough coffee, that was the most confusing part!
Thank you very much for your kind words. I already started working on another themes and I will try my best to add more interesting and unique features.
Yeah this time zone thing definitely confusing. Mine is behind about 9 hours. And without enough coffee I always forgot things such as updating the change log.
Very interested in this awesome theme.
1. The home page slider is too wide to me. Can I configure it to just fitting the content width?
2. Can I fill the background outside the content area with different color or pattern?
3. My logo is wider than the one in the demo, will that overlap with the horizontal menu next to it?
4. If I scroll down to the middle of the page and click “Add to Cart”, I will not be able to see the ajax add to cart flash in action. Any solution for this?
5. During the checkout, the default theme has the following option:
a. Sign up for our newsletter &
b. Receive special offers from our partners
But I don’t see them in the demo? I think that’s important for marketing purpose.
1. You can do this moving the slider code into the wrapper div. It’s very easy. I just test it out and it looks nice.
2. There isn’t any option for that in the theme module but again you can edit the main css file and change the main wrapper background color with the pattern image.
3. There is a “Logo Width” option in the Theme Module. You can adjust your logo width in there. It will push the menu in order to prevent overlapping.
5. Thank you for reporting this. I figured out the problem. I cloned the newsletter block because the original one can’t be put in the footer. Now Prestashop thinks there is no newsletter block active because of the name of the block. I will try to find a solution for this too.
Coffee is good incentive. I wake up for it. I just want to comment for anyone thinking of purchasing or using free themes. I just wanted to test PrestaShop so I thought I would get some free themes first. Well the themes I got crashed PrestaShop twice before I realized it. They also had no support and no documentation so I bought Autumn and its made a huge difference. I was going to just get rid of PrestaShop because I thought it was the problem but I reinstalled it and as soon as I loaded the free themes, crashed. I removed one free theme. Still crashed. Removed the second free theme and only left default and Autumn and its been working just fine.
Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad that you liked my theme. I’m trying my best to make it more stable, more beautiful and more useful.
Sorry to bug you with “newbie” questions…I learn fast but I’m not a natural programmer. So far the theme is looking great, your documentation is fantastic (!!seriously) and no problems. The only thing I need to do is to make the 2nd header (white with logo in it) taller. I have a complex logo and for it to be readable I need it to be taller than the space on Autumn. Where do I make this change? I clicked on the css documentation and i kind of understand, but I’m not sure where on my hosted version of the theme to make header 2 taller. If you have a minute, I’d apprecaite a response if its quick. If not, I’ll keep searching and I’m sure figure it out eventually! Thanks again!
You need to change two height values for the second header. One of them is #header-fluid. It’s in the autumn.css file on line ~780. Also you need to change the #header-right height value. Same file on line ~810. Both of them are 100px height.
After that you may also need to play with logo container height. Again same file, #header-logo, on line ~790. It’s 70px height.
I can’t thank you enough! I’m already a fan based on just your designs but your service is outstanding and I will be looking for your future work.
Sercan, set up going great for a newbie. I have one question – how do I know if a module I want to add would be compatible with your theme? Just looking at adding a blog module and I’ve been all over prestashop site and internet and maybe I’m asking the wrong question but I’m trying to figure out what modules would work before buying them. Is there a way to check this for your theme? Thanks again!
I’m afraid there isn’t a way to check the compatibility before actually buying it. In my personal opinion, Autumn theme will be fine with any other custom modules in technical aspects. Because the theme doesn’t change any core files or doesn’t prevent any Prestashop feature from running. But if we think in design aspect, there will be problems. You probably need to play with the module’s css files in order to match the lookings.
But of course these are my personal opinions.
Agreed! Design is absolutely important. I need the blog for a different site. My plan is to play with Autumn and add everything the larger site would need and then decide which of my two stores it will look best on. So I will play with a blog module and if it doesn’t look good, I don’t need to use it. I do see a blog module requested by many when they are looking for themes. I think Autumn works great for what I am doing now but I like its features so much I would rather use it (or buy a second licence) for my larger site that has more products. Thanks again!
Can you send me the link of that blog module? I want to take a look at that.
Here are two I’ve been looking at
I found one free blog module for 1.5.2 but I can’t find it today. I decided not to go with anything free since I had such a bad experience when I started using PS with that free theme.
I just wanted to say, for me, I don’t want a blog on the landing page. I love the way you have such a clean design. I’m looking for a link in the menu bar and the actual blog elsewhere….just putting in my request in case it comes up in future themes!
Thank you for the links. These are pretty powerful modules. My personal thoughts are almost same with yours. This is an e-commerce system not a wordpress. Of course, I’m not saying you can’t have a blog, in fact having a blog and keeping it updated can be very useful for your shop but putting it on the frontpage is not the correct way to sell your stuff. Of course these are my personal thoughts and I will build my future themes around these thoughts.
I’ll think about this a little bit more, maybe I will write my own blog module for future themes
Again, thank you very much for your suggestions and thoughts. They are really helpful to me.
I love that you have a balance between selling and design for your theme. Too many are too crowded. As a buyer, it makes me dizzy. I am an animation producer and have worked with design for years so I really look for nice, minimal design that gets the job of selling done. I love the three sections on your front page and each directs you forward. Beautiful. I look forward to more from you Sercan. Hasmi
Thank you for your kind words. I will try my best to develop much better themes in the future.
Hi, really awesome theme @srcn
An update question for you, how can i update the theme from Autumn 1.5.1 (07.02.2013) to the lastest versión?
I hope it could be updated without doing a fresh installation, i have touched some files..
Thank you for purchasing and your kind words. It was a minor update so you can update without fresh installation.
Change “autumn.css” & “responsive.css” files under autumn/css folder.
Also you need to uninstall the Autumn Theme – Main Theme Module, replace it with the updated one and install it again.
And the “authentication.tpl” file under themes/autumn folder.
These are the changed files. From now on I’m going to start putting changed files into an “update” folder for minor updates.
Does this theme comes with category ajax filters?
Or there is needed extra modules?
Ajax filters is the native module of the Prestashop called “Layered Navigation”. There is no need to an extra module. You can check out the all features of the Prestashop here: http://www.prestashop.com/en/features
I’m new in prestashop and templace so my questions are probably stupid, but is it possible to change the view of the product ? 4 items per line to 3 items per line with bigger picture.
About the picture, it becomes darker when I fly over it. Is it possible to have the second picture of the picture instead of that ?
Unfortunately, this is not possible with the current structure of the theme. Changing item count per line is not easy because I built the responsive design and it’s math based on a fixed width, which is 210px.
Getting different image on hover is possible but it will need some modification on theme. Currently I don’t have plans to do that but I will add that on my to-do list.
Thanks you for you quick answer.
If you change something about that, we will have to pay for add on ?
No, once you bought a theme, you will get all future changes and updates for free. This is how themeforest works.
Is that rtl support ?
Unfortunately, it’s not.
I love your theme ! it is just what I was looking for!
I´d like to know (before I buy it) if I can have in the check out under estimate shipping and taxes of different countries? as I have read that because of the current prestashop version it shows just the default country. ( i´m copping a user comment) ”...In this case North America, so if I select for example France still shows the shipping for North America….”
I´m working with ~and € in mi eshop that why a really need this function working.
Thanks for letting me know what should I do
That problem actually solved in the development version (Prestashop developers said that in the Prestashop forums). I think it will be fixed in the next Prestashop release, so the best thing to do is wait for the next version I think.
You can try fixing the current version but it requires core modifications and I didn’t tested it so I don’t know if it’s actually fixing the problem. Here’s the changes: https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/commit/9bd04802491c937e65e830bcfdc0cd1a023e8c3e
Your theme is totally awesome but very difficult to navigate on my Android phone. And that’s a major flaw! The main menu appears as a single, plain, long and discouraging “select”-type menu, a terrible solution for even small shops with just a handful of product categories and subcategories. Isn’t there any alternative for this?
If not, please take this just a mere suggestion: have a look at your main competitor, the very popular “Warehouse” theme, and specifically the way its main menu has been gracefully solved on mobile devices.
Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. I’m totally aware of that and I’m currently working on it. I’m planning to release another update later today and the responsive menu will be changed with accordion menu.
I bought your great the for a customer of mine. I have a problem I can’t fix : the block cart is expanded on every page I go, until I get the mouse “hover” it to collapse it again.
I use february 9 version.
Have a look : http://alicante.johann-test.com
Works fine on another demo site : http://ps15.johann-test.com !
I’ve checked many things (modules positions), deactivated most of extra-PS modules, etc… but help would be appreciated ! thanks
Thank you for purchasing and your kind words. I figured out your problem. I think you have changed the blockcart.css file under modules/blockcart folder. In that file, there is a ”#header #cart_block” selector on line 7. That selector must have “display:none” rule in it. I’m highly recommending to you to download a fresh copy of Prestashop and copy ”#header #cart_block” selector to your file. Because lots of rules are missing in that selector, and they might cause future problems.
thanks srcn for your fast and correct reply, it works fine now
Hope that you will propose some other great PS themes soon !
I’m glad I could help. Thank you for your kind words.
i’m having problems with this theme: the image slider seems to be way to big http://jammaers.com/torfs/
That’s because of the default behaviour of the NivoSlider and it’s responsive design. If you want to keep your slides small you need wide images like 1920 * 300px.
In the future I will replace the NivoSlider with another one but for now you can use wide images to keep it small.
Sercan, just did that and still the same issue
It looks fine to me. Please open a ticket in withinpixels.ticksy.com , I can help you in there much better. I can’t add screenshots in here.
Sercazn, I just found out that my logo was apperantly to high therefor in firefox it pushes the image slider completely to the right of the screen
Oh, I checked only in Chrome and it was fine to me. Sorry I couldn’t help you better, I’m a little busy right now but I’m glad you figured it out. If you have any more problems don’t hesitate to contact me.
Great looking theme and your support is great. I will definately buy. Is a new Update planned within the next few days or week? Should I wait a few days or week and buy then? Or is no new update planned and I should buy now?
Thanks…keep up the great work and support!
Thank you for your kind words. I already updated the theme last night and currently I’m not planning to release any update in near future. Of course I will release updates if the new version of Prestashop come out or anybody finds an important bug. But other than that I don’t have a planned update.
Great responsive theme, and great developper !
I’m using it for http://www.web-animal.com, had some bugs with my PS parameters, and everything is solved, thanks to SRCN.
I recommend !
Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
This theme is probably the best and cleanest one I have yet seen for Prestashop.. good job…
Thank you for purchasing and your kind words. I’m glad you like it.
Just bought this template two days ago and I like it very much as you did wonderful work. However, I have one trouble and need your advice to overcome it. Your template images are the enlarge on the mouseover actions but mine are not. Can you tell me how to solve it as I am a rather new of Prestashop. Thank you for your nice work and look for your reply soon.
Thank you for your kind words.
I suppose you are talking about product pages. It’s jqZoom and you need to activate it. Please navigate to your backoffice and then “Preferences > Products”. There is a section called “Product page”. In that section you will find “Enable JqZoom instead of Thickbox on product page” option, select “yes” for that option and save the configuration.
Thank you very much for your super quick reply. I did overlook the option for “Enable JqZoom” for two days!!!!!!!??How careless I am!!
Now, it works perfectly and continues to be finished. If any further troubles, I am confident to sort it out with your kind advice. Supports after sales are the most important factor these days and I am sure that you are always aware of it Good work and good supports!!!!
If you have any more problems please don’t hesitate to contact me.
theme is very nice and I would like to ask whether it can be done like this page (with frame and color model) http://www.esprit.eu/women/all_brands/CLOTHES/t_shirts_tops/long_sleeves_patterned
2.Date can be considered products (including video) like this page
if it will update you in the future?
Thank you and good luck in sales!
Thank you for kind words.
I checked that shop. Those are very good features. Currently I don’t have a planned update for Autumn and I want to keep it as it is right now, clean and simple.
But I will definitely take your example as a suggestion and I can add similar features to my future themes.
