How work export page function? The system export all files or only used in the page?

When you click “Get HTML” on a page – that is exactly what you get, the HTML code for a single page. This code cannot be re-imported. When you export in .variant format, you can then re-import the file back into any instance of Variant for editing.

Hello, that is not a function in Variant at this time. You can open the html file and edit those details yourself.

Perhaps you are using Safari. Safari does not offer the functions we require in order to present you with an exported file, so you should use Chrome or Firefox – otherwise you can still use Safari, but you will need to copy the HTML manually into a text editor instead of simply getting a file downloaded. This is a limitation in Safari.

Simply click the button in Variant and type your preferred text. Is this not working for you?
How to create new page? I want make multipage website, but i didn’t find button Create clear page.
We will overhaul page saving in an upcoming version, until then just reload Variant (click reload in browser) then when prompted, click “Start New Page”.

Variant is a realtime HTML generator, so your finished page is already visible to you while you build it. There is nothing different from your page in Variant and the finished page in HTML. If you need to test links as you go, the easiest way is to use Chrome or Firefox which support page downloading. You can then temporarily set your default downloads folder to your root Foundry folder so exported html pages are saved there. You can then open them in a browser and they will display as they would in a live site. FTP site uploading is not possible from a local page builder at this time.

No this is not offered, Variant is not sold as a system for creating a new subscription business from building pages.

Apologies for this oversight, this somehow escaped our attention. Did you open this as a ticket on our support forum at mediumrare.ticksy.com? I haven’t been able to locate your ticket.
We’ve been trying to replicate this issue (using Chrome / FF / Safari) but haven’t been able to make the horizontal bar appear as per your screenshot. Would you mind confirming your OS?

the OS is OS X Yosemite, the horizontal bar appears on Firefox, Chrome, Safari.
I have tried many times to empty the cache of all browsers and now seems to it work well. But I wonder if “overflow-x: hidden;” that I added in the class “body” (theme.css) is a good solution. Thanks
That’s odd, we’re using the same browser / OS yet I can’t seem to get the same issue happening. The overflow-x fix is the one I would be inclined to try as well. Can I confirm that once you cleared the cache and viewed the latest build that the issue is no longer present?

How do I adjust the opacity in the navigation when it is set at transparency? Also, how do I get the in page navigation to sit flush underneath the menu without any gapping?

Hi, this theme looks absolutely awesome. Thanks for allowing interested buyers to try out the page builder, that’s definitely a selling point. I’m very familiar with Wordpress but have never used HTML, is the installation comparable or do you have a Wordpress alternative?

Thanks for the compliment! This is a bit different to WordPress in that the builder is a means to creating a HTML document, so ‘installing’ the template on your domain is a matter of copying the HTML files and CSS,JS and IMG folders into your domain’s directory. It is important to highlight that Variant is not a content management system like WordPress, it is a front-end visual tool for building pure HTML pages

There seems to be an issue with saving changes on certain items such as instagram link and embedding video codes. When you click the save button there’s no response.

Got a quick bug fix for you – whenever you have hard-links to http: in the CSS tags at the top of your HTML file, it breaks for any site that is serving through SSL. You can just remove the http: altogether. Example:
<link href=’//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:300,400%7CRaleway:100,400,300,500,600,700%7COpen+Sans:400,500,600’ rel=’stylesheet’ type=’text/css’>

Thanks for your contribution! We can’t add this functionality in by default because the protocol for working offline is file:// rather than http:// or https:// but we can certainly change all the google references to https:// by default.

Excellent theme ! I am building my personnal website with it.
I have only one question : How can I reproduce what you did with images on the first single portfolio demo : http://foundry.mediumra.re/portfolio-single-1.html How can I put 2 images side by side or only 1 full image ?
Also it will be absolutely stunning if you can provide a .variant of your demo content. Some things in the demo are a bit difficult to reproduce.

To achieve that effect with the images, you just need to place an image inside a .col-sm-6 element, then another beside it, also in a .col-sm-6 element. Is that what you mean? Perhaps I’ve misunderstood.

At the moment you’d need to do this in HTML as we haven’t got complex column positioning perfected yet, I’m afraid.
