Pre Sales Question:
I am testing out the builder and would like to know how I can copy and paste different blocks on different pages? The Builder does not allow me to do so.
Sorry but blocks cannot be copied to another page at this time.
first of all great theme mann!! hats off…. but there is problem with scrolling in IE its damn slow can u fix it or just send and uncompressed js so i can fix my self if you dont have time
There is a slight difference because we have written a scroll handler to manage parallax and to standardise scrolling across all browsers, which improves visuals on Windows, but you can remove this by not including parallax.js. The drawback will be that you cannot use parallax effect on pages that do not include parallax.js. Up to you ????
Great work again! I have a question. I have a site that I built with Pivot. Is it possible to use foundry along with that build or will it totally mess it up and have to be separate? Hope that makes sense.
Pages cannot have mixed parts of Foundry and Pivot but you could have separate Foundry and Pivot pages in the same site.
You could do that if you reference the files separately such as CSS and JS. To drop a Foundry installation in where a Pivot site already lives you would rename all Foundry’s folders to foundry_css , foundry_js etc. and then make the change in your Foundry HTML files to look for the CSS and JS files in those renamed folders to keep everything separate.
Hope that makes sense. James
Hi, I purchsed this, looks great, but i think I’m missing something simple. I am running the builder file locally on my mac. Works great, can save, modify my work etc. But when I click Export, nothing seems to happen. I am expecting an export to upload to my service. I have gone through the docs, but must have missed something. So I need to upload this package to my server or something. If so, will it be clear where the export files are? Thx, Steve
sorted it out, found another doc in the download bundle that explained it – thanks. This builder is awesome, thanks!
Great, glad you found it
hey better documentation with this release, nice job!
Just add a code view and text editor the builder and you will be killing it.
Working on it
Cheers, James
I bought and used pivot, and i will probably buy this one as well. the variant builder is a great tool. It is easy to use and is just as good if not better then the other “page builders” That said, it is hard to customize variant blocks and so i end up building a half template and then hand code the rest and make a custom.css file.
so, question is there a way to add my own blocks “sections” to the builder. also can i add additional resources to the builder, i.e ICONS sets, FONTS, ETC.
The way you are using Variant is how we expect pros to use it. The current version of Variant allows for content customisation and slight visual tweaks more suited to those looking for a quick setup, and is ideal for editing later if you are capable. Adding or editing blocks, icon sets and fonts etc is not documented and not yet supported by us. We plan to implement a code editor inside Variant in the future, which would facilitate saving custom blocks and are currently considering the addition of a ‘custom classes’ system.

Hi, I am having trouble getting the twitter feeds to work – I have followed the instructions but no posts come up. thanks
Hi Josh,
Thanks for purchasing! You need to be working online on a server for the Twitter feeds to show, they won’t show if you’re running locally from your machine – this is due to the way the plugin accesses the Twitter server.
I sent you a personal message a few days ago but no reply. I’m not too keen on wasting time writing messages to get no reply… anyway…
Purchased this template and can’t find any nav blocks, or how to create a nav menu.
Any clues?
Hi,
Each demo HTML page has a Nav included as an example so you can copy one of those if you are in a hurry. Optional classes for the nav elements can be found under elements-nav.html – also, documentation covering navs is easy to find in the Foundry Docs folder in your download package. If you are referring to navs in Variant, just choose from the navigation types menu, then clone and edit the default links as necessary.
Any further support requests should be made through our proper support channel at mediumrare.ticksy.com
James
Thanks, but yesterday the navigation types menu and footer types were not showing up at all… and when I try to open a demo HTML page I get the following error:
Page Import Error Error reading shop-checkout.html :Corrupted zip : can’t find end of central directory
If you don’t mind, I’ll use this channel as I don’t want to sign up and login on yet another website.
How do I get a refund?
Hello, Variant does not import demo .html files but imports .variant files. You can contact Envato for a refund as we are unable to process that for you.
We don’t have any .variant files in our package.
We have:
Foundry 1.2.0 > Variant – but folder has no pre-built demos.
All the pre-built demos are in the Foundry 1.2.0 folder as .html files.
Can we have a response on this please.
Foundry does not include any .variant files as not all sections in every page are implemented in Variant yet. The HTML files are the templates that you can edit in a text editor, or you can rebuild pages you like using Variant.
What a load of bollocks!
We are regretful that you are not satisfied with your purchase, but it seems like this is not the perfect product for you. Please enquire with Envato to seek a refund as we are unable to issue refunds directly. If there is anything else we can do, please open a support ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com
Hi Medium_rare, Great template! To make the logo and navbar bigger i followed the instructions in the documentation (adding custom css). Now the mobile navigation isn’t working anymore. When I make the menu as it was the nav works as aspected. Do I need to edit javascriptfiles to achieve this? Regards Jon
Hi there Jon,
Thanks for purchasing!
Would you mind opening a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com with a link to your site so I can take a closer look and provide you with a more specific fix?
Thanks, Craig
Hi, I report only a bug, at the bottom you see horizontal scroll bar. This bar disappears when you start scrolling the page, but then reappears when you return to the top. Please look at the following screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/JgR5abQ.jpg The bar appears in Firefox, Chrome and Safari on Mac OS X, I have no chance to try it with Windows. Please provide a solution, thanks
Maybe I solved. I added overflow-x: hidden; in body class (theme.css)
Hey there,
Thanks for purchasing! Thanks for letting us know, we’ll check this out
Hi, I’m a big fan of your awesome works and templates.
Question: How do I add images in the ‘Edit Image’ panel.? I’ve added some jpg & gif files directly inside the ‘img’ directory, but they are not shown on the panel neither.
Thanks in advance, Kind regards
Hey there,
Thanks for purchasing!
You also need to click ‘Import Images’ then browse for the images you placed in the ‘img’ folder. Then they’ll appear
Thank you so much for your quick reply, and now my problem has been solved. You guys are Awesome!
Not a problem! Glad you’re enjoying Foundry!
I have one more question. I’m trying to use the countdown section with Masonry Gallery. Every time I put them together, the countdown timer doesn’t appear nothing.
Would you tell me how to fix this problem? Thank you so in advance!
Kind Regards,

Hi, great template. Thx. Question: What font is it “Go Boldy, venture forth” (img/vent1.png) ?
kind regards
Hey there,
Thanks for purchasing!
The font is called ‘Goodfoot’ and it’s available for free here: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Good-Foot
Great support;-) Thank you and kind regards.
No problem
Another question is … how can I change the style of the play-button (Video Vimeo) … I would like to have e.g. a themify-icon instead of the triangular right arrow.
Hi, this will require some css added to your ‘custom.css’ file. Please open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com so we can provide the code for you.
James
Hi medium_rare,
Another fantastic masterpiece…someone wrote he has Somnus in his basket and how to make a decision….:-)
Well, I have purchased Somnus already but will buy this one as well….I can’t resist.
A question, if you don’t mind…does the table reservation feature (restaurant demo) work? Do you provide the working php file ready-made?
Thanks and kind regards, fbyte
Thanks again for purchasing fbyte, you’re a legen!
The reservation form works as a standard email form. So the details of the form will be sent to an email address specified in the mail.php. Does this answer the question? If not let me know
Thanks again, Craig
Hi Craig, yes, you have answered my question. In the meantime I purchased this new item.
Thanks and kind regards, fbyte
Great! Thanks
Hi Guys, this template is absolutely awesome!
I am having slight difficulty with it showing up on my web browser correctly once uploaded. I have followed all instructions. Please could you take a look: https://vocalviews.com/HomeNew/home.html
Thank you.
Hi Guys, I have fixed the issues,
How do I fix the issue on this page https://vocalviews.com/homenew/consumer-registration.php
The form has spread across the entire page and is out of scope
Hey there,
Thanks for purchasing! Good to hear you got the issue resolved.
For the second one – you can remove the class ‘fullscreen’ and ‘cover’ from the section, then remove the class ‘v-align-transform’ from the container therein.
Cheers, Craig
Brilliant! Thanks Craig it worked! Sorry just one last question and I will fully comprehend, the space between the header and the container at the top of https://vocalviews.com/homenew/consumer-registration.php is too narrow, how do I create more of a gap between the header and the container
To do this, add a custom class to the section (the one where you removed ‘fullscreen cover’ called ‘form-section’ or similar, then in your custom CSS give it some more padding like so:
.form-section{ padding: 180px 0; }
This will bring it off the top slightly, giving you a better spacing.
Best, Craig
Hi!
Thanks for your work with this template is awesome! I have a little problem with the horizontal scroll on the slider, I need to disappear there any solution?
Hey there,
Thanks for purchasing! I’m not quite sure what you mean by horizontal scroll, do you mean the slider controls? If so you can initialize the slider with the class ‘slider-no-controls’
Cheers, Craig
Looks great! Are less files included?
Thanks! Yes they are.
Awesome work, GLWS
Cheers
Love the Variant stuff. As above, I’ll probably be purchasing this too.
BUT WHAT THE HELL! Leave the browser scroll functions alone! Completely turns me off from this theme. Don’t mess with how a page scrolls naturally — users get used to how their browser scrolls, so when they visit a page that changes that, it feels like something is wrong. In your case, it seems like it’s negatively affecting performance as well. It doesn’t scroll smoothly in my browser (Safari).
If you don’t plan on using any parallax sections, you may just remove parallax.js from the head, or just comment out the contents of parallax.js and the pages will not scroll using the script. Pretty straightforward.
James
I really love all of your works. And purchased almost of them! Cheer! Haha.
One question. What is the font you use in Travel page? like brush style.
Thanks
Hey there,
Thanks for purchasing! Glad to hear you’re a fan of our stuff
That font is called ‘Goodfoot’ and is available for free here: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Good-Foot . You might like some of pizzadude’s other fonts too – they are fantastic!
Enjoy!
