I love the theme! One pre-sale Q: Your theme is not fully WPML compatible. Can I still translate every piece of text in the theme in German, if I want to have it exclusively German? I am not sure whether WPML deals with ability to have multiple languages or also with the translation of a theme?

I believe that it should be fine with WPML. we have got confirmation from wpml and waiting for final steps.yes it’s possible to translate them in German. you can also use another plugin to translate. you need wpml for multi lingual.

Hi, I’ve a problem with video link in item pages. That video must be in the slide of the item page, but I can’t see it, there is en example image of the video but video not works. I choose Youtube, but wich url I have to put into?
I’ve tryed with classic url, with share url youtu.be…. nothing appears.

About uploaded image size, the javo theme purchased is under testing. I find that every time,I upload one image , there will be 6 different-size images generated.though I can set code to settle it, please kindly give some instruction of image sizes on your demo site. So I can set it accordingly, or you can make options directly under the theme.

3. The maps are mostly address, zipcode or my location (geolocation). I believe not IP address.

1. I mean as a general site header….especially on homepage. I’d like to be able to put a company logo and possibly tag line, as well as tap to call an tap to email.

1. we have top menu and you can add email, phone number.
2. contact 7 form works and maybe ninja form from next update
3. Yes it works like that. our developer is doing some work on our demo at this moment. you can check it out little later. then it will be working like that.
4. The maintenance update will be soon. It should be in a few days.

6. the keywords are like tags. so you (or your users) can add tags as keywords and the result gets from keywords and title.
7. Yes. except very few sample images. but mostly 1 click imported.

Hi …. great looking theme 
Just a couple of quick pre purchase questions …
I noticed when I began typing in the search box it was powered by google and some predictive listings came up (I assumed from google rather than listings within the theme) but when I clicked on one of the listings and hit search … it brought me to a map with the message “no found items”
Should it bring me to the map with the google pin on the map … as you would find in a google search?
Is it possible to create some custom search items / criteria, which you can add to the filters e.g. .... different restaurant types (Italian, Indian, French etc)?
I see in one of the release items there is a mention of a “Claim button” I didn’t see one in the demo … is this to enable business owners to claim a Listing?

We mostly added sample keywords or sample items. but when you add an address and there is no item. it shows not found items.
If you want to make like that, you don’t need to create custom fields. you can use categories and it’s possible to filter. we have custom fields but not possible to add them on search form yet.
We didn’t able claim a list. we just abled it on our demo sites.

On the search … I didn’t type the address … I just began to type e.g.Westin Hotel and it predicatively gave me a drop down list with addresses … so I guess the actual google results. If it comes down in a predictive list from the search I would except a result when I click search
Would it be possible to display the actual google listing result in the absence of a listing in the theme … then have click to claim?
So a hybrid of listings from the theme if there is one … if not it has google business details with an option for the business owner to add a Theme listing?
On the Categories … if it was just a restaurant directory you could use the categories for types of cuisine … but if it is a general directory then the category would be “restaurants” ... to add the cuisine as a category too would make category list huge … if you take into account all the other business types too
Maybe the use of tags would be a good way to add further refinement …. so you could search tags under categories?

Do you mean you want to search google results? not from our theme? and claim? if so, it’s not possible. the data is different. you want to use google data. I believe that every the 3rd parts (themes, plugins) are not possible to do that. because it’s different database.

Hi Rob In the demo I do get a google predictive search list of locations (Hotels, streets etc) when I click search I am taken to the destination … if you would like I can send you a screen shot via Envato Email form?

On mass import. I was able to import most of the data for an Item, but the CSV headers for some would not come in at all like detail_images.. is that because it’s serialized? Is there anyway to import those fields?

It’s for a client so he bought under his account. So a pre-purchase question then as I don’t want to jump through a bunch of hoops to find a “No”. Are we able to import all data including those which are serialized such as “Description Images” detail_images.

I find myself doing testing with version 2.0 , because I do not want to even leave my website for some mistakes I ‘ve found , but one that I could fix that is , when a user forgets the password , it is assumed that redirects me a page called /slot-password but can not find me throws 404 and neither is where is this page , no meeting could help me please .

sorry again but it hink there’s something not working properly in Search.
Referring to my previous post you replied this (excerpt):
”...the result shows when the item has “Restaurant” keywords or title has the keywords (:Restaurant”)”.”
The point is that search is performed only when Restaurant is in Title and not when in keywords.
You can try with any item.
Another example is on your Home 2.
Heading Text above Search box says: “Please add a keyword you are looking for. It will be searched by keywords which added with listings. ex) food.”
The search returns 2 items and the reason is that the word FOOD is in the title.
So i suppose you should investigate on this.

I also added “Japanese food” as a keyword (tag). so if you search there will be total 3 results from 2 titles and 1 from keyword.

I registered for your support forum, entered the purchase code that came with the download, but I got this message :
“Sorry, but that item purchase code has already been registered with another account. Please login to that account to continue, or create a new account with another purchase code.”
what’s going on – if you want I can forward the envato email to you to prove that they took the money from my paypal account. Why was an identical purchase code issued to me if it has already been assigned to someone else?

Rob, I have emailed all the information you need. But just for your information, the error message as to why I could not install the theme just appeared on my computer, and it says “theme could not be installed. theme is missing style css stylesheet.”.
Oh. It is a very common mistake you did. you need to unzip 1 more folder and find “javo-directory.zip”.. and upload it. you uploaded whole unzip file.

Further to my former suggestion , first of all, I should clarify my meaning. Wordpress post category ,which is just articles(for example like essay ,blog )category , is different with Javo Item categoy .if I dno’t use javo theme ,wordpress post category (created by wordpress )is still there under other themes . javo item category and item location are created only under Javo theme.
For Item location and Item categoy , users may need to write some essays and blogs directly connected to Item location or /and Item categoy.
Suggest: jave theme can set page filter options which combine Wordpress post category with Item location or/and Item categoy.

hi, great theme and restyle. only a problem: the addons for VC (slide for categories) give a php error whe i use it. please can you fix it?
another 2 things: 1) how can i show categories into modal if i have a lot of them? should be usefull a modal with scrollbar.

on main page let’s say i want to search for Restaurant. After pressing Search button, i’m redirected to Map page, but no items are shown.

I have just tested and it works fine. did you add keyword searching form. not address searching. we have 2 options to search address detect and keyword searching.
http://javothemes.com/directory/demo2/home-2/ (this is keyword searching form)and please add “Restaurant”. there will be auto suggestion word. and hit “search”. then it goes to map page shows the result.
the result shows when the item has “Restaurant” keywords or title has the keywords (:Restaurant”)

A) If with this update the theme works fine with the WPML plugin?
If not (see A), it is possible to translate the framework by code?
C) If yes (see , would I have to overwrite specific files each time there is an update for the theme, or would you provide a child theme, or wouId I have to set up a child theme myself?
D) Can turn off the “login” and “submit list” buttons from the backend?
E) If custom code was provided for turning off the hover effects, would I have to overwrite existing files each time the theme was updated?

We have got the answer from wpml. our theme works fine with wpml. they told us to wait for the final steps. I will email them again. You can also translate by another plugin. we also have a child theme. it’s included when you download the package.
Yes you can simply remove them on widget part. or just don’t add them. please see our demo5, there is no these buttons.
You may need to use “Custom CSS” field on theme settings. you can add your own custom css and it keeps with our data. so no matter with update.

Pre-sale question on your awesome looking theme.
Sorry to have to ask, but a number of people have mentioned that there is an issue with the different map layouts not showing in the search results page and the chosen results page not being selected in the theme options… are these issues now fixed?

Thanks for your reply. Your demos look to work fine, but that’s not the issue. People have mentioned that they cannot get the selected item results page to show (eg’ greggoryhogan question) when selected from the admin theme options. I can’t see in the change log that this has been addressed so I’m wondering if it is an issue that hasn’t been fixed or just a user problem maybe?
