My hosting used to have PHP 7.4 and the theme worked perfectly, they updated it to 8.2 and now it doesn’t work. General error and not even able to login to wp/admin. I had to disable Lily Toolkit to be at least able to login.

If it’s possible then ok, if not possible then it’s worthless for us and we can’t use it. In that case we’ll ask for cancellation and refund.

Yep, looks like your close to completely the setup based on that screenshot. I believe you simply need to add the corresponding widgets and you should be good to go.

I’ve tried to utilize multiple fresh installations of WP (6.6.1, 6.5.5, and 6.4.5) to install the theme, but when I try to active the Lily plugin on each of those installations it crashes the installation with an unexpected error. I’m able to install and active all of the other plugins that come along with the theme but that one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

P.S: I am aware that there was an issue with the installation, but the latest update to the theme (v1.5.0) has resolved this. Feel free to message me directly though if you need a hand with things.

Hi there, regarding the timeline, I wanted to use this as an itinerary but I didn’t realise it utilises the publication date to label and determine the order. That means I can only post a timeline from the past. Is it possible to work around this to achieve a timeline that covers the span of a few days in the future?

I’ve installed everything and followed the step by step guide. But when I go to install the Themechills widgets on my homepage, there are none installed. When in the customizer and clicking on Widgets, there is this messege and none of the widgets that should’ve been downloaded: ‘Your theme has 2 other widget areas, but this particular page does not display them.
You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.’

Re your question, the theme is actually compatible with up to WP 5.5.1 (which is what the theme demo is currently on) and also PHP 7.3.11.

Many thanks for a great theme! As I have started to set it up, I noticed that your ‘homepage’ templates only allowed for one customised map to be used at a time across all pages using it. Consequently, I wonder how to create new templates to get around this or if there is another fix? Would I need to simply upload the template file directly through the ftp renaming it?

Tried to install the Demo version, but this is all I was left with. I understand that the actual images aren’t included, but where are all the other blocks/sections for the home page as per whats on your Demo?

Hello, I really like the look of the template. Can you tell me if it is compatible with the plugin wedding press? Also does this come with some sort of count down addon or would this need to be integrated in? I prefer the look of your theme but we are looking for something with a countdown to the day integrated into the main homepage

Thanks for responding Leo. I have considered “Lily” (and “Lori”) and think they represent a little too much capability for what I’m doing. The lay out is very elegant but the transitions seem… well, trendy to me. I want the same wide image on top and a 3 column slider an the bottom… the interface should flow cleanly and purposefully, but the site should not feel overly slick. My audience is older and possibly apprehensive of clever. I have located a developer who will adapt “Didi” to look more like my sketches and focus on snappy performance with the limited bandwidth here in forgotten Western MA. If his efforts don’t meet expectations, I might purchase Lily and have him adapt that. Coming from where I am… don’t know if my logic may be flawed. I do very much like your work and compliment your dominance in the field.

Thanks Salvy, support will only be provided on the theme itself though. This means, if you like, purchase the theme which comes included with the necessary documentation and video tutorials.
If you then run into any issues with the setup of the Lily theme I can help you out. Any customization requests to the theme are also outside the scope of support. Also, I can’t provide support for any external websites.

Regarding the countdown timer, I assume you mean the styling of the countdown timer? Or what specifically do you like about it?
As you’ll see the countdown timer is part of the Lily toolkit, so you could always install that, then apply the corresponding styling and it should work.

I installed the theme and get it running. However, I was not able to use the Contact form to receive emails of filled forms. I have done a lot of research and verified that I can send emails to any address through my linux server (I host the website in my own virtual server) using “mail” function. I tried to test the wordpress mail sending with some plugins, such as “check email”, and I could not received the email, which tells me that wordpress is the one that is not sending the email. I look at the function.php file within the theme, but did not find the wp_mail() function. I have spent a loooot of time on this, and sent a support request. Please help, I need to get my website online in 3 days… Thanks!

Regarding your question, I’m thinking it has to do with your default Reading settings.
If you go into these, then change the limit from 10 to any value which you want (if you want to show 29, then perhaps set it up 30), you should then be able to see all your profiles.

- If be modify you mean the color, then yes, this is possible too as the asset is an .svg icon.

I have one more question about using the theme in an other language. I need to do that website in french. I saw that you mentioned a document .po that translates the theme. I am not familiar at all with at all with that kind of document. I have no clue on how to change the language. Can you tell me how hard it is? Doest it take longer, do I need specific skills? Will I be able to translate everything on the site?

Sure thing, it’s my pleasure.
Yes, spot on – the icon can be changed for anything else really.
Regarding translation, the pot file is a file which you can use with a translator such as Poedit (https://poedit.net/) for example.
That being said, I know that some of my customers have used WPML as an option for translation, though I’m not entirely familiar with how that works.

Will there be a lot of content that I cannot translate in the wp admin anyway? I mean like “hard coded” text? Or were you talking about if my site would be multilingual? I’m not sure I got that.

Hi Pamela,
Yes, I understand. From the WP admin standpoint you will be able to translate the theme by going into your Reading settings and selecting your language preferences, the only exception may be the widgets which would require the use of the .po file, within the documentation there is a video which explains how this works.
From the public facing standpoint, all titles and content, etc, are things you put in anyway, so whatever language/words you pick will be published as required. There is no hard-coded text.

Thank you so much! I just re-read my questions and saw that you didn’t answer about the fonts? Is it possible to change them? Do you have google fonts available? If not how hard would it be to change the fonts?

Regarding fonts, these can be changed – you would need to go into the functions.php file and change these to what you want. Some of my customers have also installed specific plugins in the theme which allows you to select the fonts that way as well, so the choice is up to you.
