To set custom review categories simply visit “Listings > Settings > Reviews”. Once here you can create new labels for each category by adding each one to a new line.

Hi, will the theme work with Wordpress Multisite? I would like to launch a global directory, but would need separate, more or less independent sections per country basically for two reasons: a, i plan to have price of the services offered by the businesses as one of the search criteria and this is not possible if i have different currencies b, i plan to charge businesses for being listed/being featured and i would like to adapt the pricing and list the price in local currency for each country. It’s also not very useful for a user based in country A to see listings also in country B. I’m thinking of setting up subdomains, such as us.sitename.com and uk.sitename.com and direct businesses/users to these local sites. Would this be possible with Listify? Could i have a single install of the theme and plugins power the subdomains?

Many thanks for the reply! I don’t really see on the demo, how multisite is set up. How could such a global site work? On the main page (www.sitename.com) i should include a country/region selector which takes people to the country sites (e.g. us.sitename.com)? Or could i add a complete search form on the main page?

Hi there, I got a couple of questions.
1. When the user is logged in, is there a way they can change their avatar image from the default image? As seen in the lower right hand side on this test listing I made: http://imgur.com/lNFN77O
2. Do featured listings revert to free listings and stay on the site when the featured time has expired?
3. I am having a bit of trouble setting up the free version of the social login plug in, are there any pages in the documentation to help me with this?

2) If a listing has a pricing package that includes an expiration date, than it will no longer show on the site once it expires, that goes for featured and non-featured listings.

1) We have a few articles about getting everything installed but yes, assuming you follow the installation instructions and install the plugins that we highlight in the articles below, you should be all set! The theme installation comes with a recommended bulk installer of the plugins we suggest using with the theme.

Hello there, I am currently using your listify theme and I must say your theme is the best directory I ever purchased, hopefully there are more new features that are able to enhance the theme in future!
However, I do have few questions regarding your listings setting. 1. Is it possible I can create a pop up link to put on the “listing page”, which users are able to click on the link and pop up a “Menu for foods” ?
2. Since the “package of Listing” is under product category, is there any way I can hide if from customers but shown it for my vendors only?
3. Is it possible to show the photo gallery’s images in “listing page” by pop up with some badge such as “pricing” under/top of the image? and disable the link to direct it to other link page?

1) There’s nothing like this in the theme but with some customization, it’s definitely possible.
2) Are you referring to the links in the menu? If so, try this article:

Is this theme compatible with the wootheme’s plugin called sensei? I want the ability to offer online courses for a fee.

We’ve not tested the theme with the sensei plugin and we haven’t currently added any custom sensei styling to the Listify theme.

I’m working with your theme for one of my clients. I found bug/conflict:
- class-wp-job-manager-gallery breaks ACF (advanced custom fields)
it can be fix by changing line 152 to:
if ( ! ( in_array( $pagenow, array( 'post-new.php', 'post.php' ) ) or $_GET['post_type'] != 'job_listing' or $post->post_type != 'job_listing')) {
Besides that nice theme and good coding. Keep it up!

We have discussed about some important improvements for the Listing Pages beforehand and you have expressed your appreciation (see pages 18 + 19 before). We have also sent you a private message as requested by you but regretfully there is no answer. We would appreciate to get a clear statement from you:
1 — photos in a bigger slider with thumbs below (instead of small circles and page reload)
2 — presentation of the LOGO (e.g. on the cover image – Twitter profile alike)
3 — option to replace the cover image by a map with a location marker
These features are highly effective for promoting companies. They will also make the Listing Pages look better. Remember that companies are more likely to pay for any listings if the Listing Pages have a great look and a clear benefit for the companies. These features have been requested by so many users beforehand.
Are you going to introduce these features in a January update?

Just a pre-purchase question here.. I’m creating a website specifically for my city, not on a national scale. Am I able to remove the “Location” search bar as seen on the front page? If not, am I able to limit it to specific areas? I also do not want businesses to be able to submit their own establishments, is this something I am able to disable?
Perhaps you are wondering why I’m planning on buying this if I’m just going to disable features, but I look forward to your response, thank you. .

HI, great theme, but i am having afew problems with some features..
I do not get the “submit listing” option for the site? I have most of the plugins.. But the menus are also looking wrong, not same menus when logged in, as on demo site, i only get the ability to edit listing, edit account and sign out.. And it always says “sign in” even when signed in.. The thumbnail picture for the “how it works” link is also missing? Are you able to inform me about the problems it could be? Thank you very much..

The Submit Listing form allows you to let vendors submit their listings to your site. If you do not want to use it, you do not have to.

I agree with @NikJames
I want to do the same. Build a local Marketplace/Classified site behind a nice shop/vendor directory. So people can search for shops/vendors or products/coupons etc.. Example: Restaurant and Food locator + ordering network + bookings site. or a Pub locator with listing drinks…all shows on map nearby me..!:)
All we need:
- Filter marketplace products
- Show filtered product on map
- Search product by geolocation
- Short listings by(price, reviews, distance, date, etc..)
- Select on the main search box what are you looking for(directory listing, product, coupon, booking, etc)
If i search on themeforest for “classified” or “marketplace” keyword Listify is on the results, but its not a marketplace theme or classified theme..its good for a booking system, but thats all. I cant understand way not its an universal listing theme, because its already supports wc vendors and product vendors plugin with woocommerce.
If Astoundify develop a plugin for Listify to use theme a marketplace or “hybid” dir/marketplace i thing much more people buy it!!!
Maybe it is just my opinion, but i cant understand way focusing just for directory style…
You can list products of all types on the Listify theme listing pages, including bookings, deals, discounts, products digital and physical.
Why not hire a developer to make this happen? It’s very custom and 99% of our customers aren’t looking to create a marketplace directory.

If it’s just your site and not the demo then it sounds like an issue with a CSS change you may have made, plugins you have installed, or any number of issues.

Amazing theme. Love it. Just have a few questions though.
1) How do you change the default location of the map that displays on the archive pages. It currently shows over the USA when there are no available listing for the search, but i need to change this to Australia.
2) I cant seem to get the Listing Types, only Listing Categories and Regions. I need to set up a category hierarchy and read that Types were the best way to do this. How do i get this to show up.
3) Is there any way to show the contact details for a listing if they dont include a location. Currently if the location isnt included, then no contact details appear.
