Hi, a few pre purchase questions:
1. Listings have links to a business’s social media sites. Is it possible actually embed a feed from a business’s social media rather than just having the external link?
2. Can you have different amenity sets for each different listing category?
3. The reservation integrations are great. However, we would not be taking reservations ourselves, but rather businesses (say a nail salon) will pay for their premium listing. Then, will they be able to integrate their own reservation systems (as long as they use woo commerce bookings or one of the compatible plugins)? There would need to be a separate integration for each directory listing. Also just a note for your future development, it seems like your reservation feature is highly targeted to restaurants. Future development targeted to beauty businesses and fitness classes could be hugely helpful!
Thanks!!
Hi there,
1) The listing pages have two widgetized areas. So if you wanted to set something like that up, you could use a plugin in the sidebar or main content widget areas.
2) You can create your own amenities/tags but at this time they cannot be separated by category (for example, a restaurant set, a hotel set, etc.). This is something we have heard a lot of requests for so it is on our list for future enhancements.
3) Yes, vendors can manage their own bookings provided you use one of the compatible plugins. The compatible booking systems are listed here: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/508-how-do-i-take-bookings-on-my-listing-owner-pages
Thanks for the feedback on the other booking alternatives. Something we will definitely look into!
Let us know if you have any other presale questions.
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi,
Do you have any example websites now that your customers have built? Would love to see some examples that others have created by using this theme!
There are so many sites that I think look excellent using our Listify theme, but so far no one has given me permission to advertise their site. Someone did just post one the other day, keep in mind the theme was released at the start of December plus Christmas holidays and most people take a while to get their site populated with content so I’m sure over the next few weeks I’ll have more examples.
Cheers! Adam
Thanks Adam!
No thank you Bryan!
No thank you both! Haha
Hi is there a way to have ”free” listings which have less information than “premium” listings ore is this coming in a future
PS: Do you know wen it will be available
Yes, you can set up your listing packages to allow different features at each level, as seen on the demo here: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/plans-and-pricing/
Here’s how to create a Listing Package (you can set the price for each package): http://listify.astoundify.com/article/321-woocommerce-paid-listings-creating-a-job-packageThanks,
Bryan
In the future you will have more control of pricing packages and what fields display on the submission form, example the free package does not display image upload, video upload, limit text that can be input in the fields etc.
This is a feature that will be added to the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin.
Cheers! Adam
Hi
I was also wondering if the user sign up can be linked to buddypress ? If so where might I go about adding this in.
My user sign up doesn’t seen to be working normally ciaraluke.com/gac
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Ciara
We will respond to your email: Re: # 9706 once we get caught up with our backlog of support after the holidays.
Cheers! Adam
How do we differentiate between users login and vendors login? Can buddypress be a request feature since there’s a demand for it.
Can each listing have their own shop instead? e.g a vendor managing the listing can sell stuffs on their page rather than just “shop
Hi there. Looks amazing. Is it possible to turn off the location/map feature?
Hi there,
Does this help? http://listify.astoundify.com/article/533-is-it-possible-to-remove-the-sidebar-map-from-the-listings-results-page
Thanks,

Bryan, awesome, thx!
Pre-sales questions. Since there is no demo account, just want to know a couple things.
- First, when someone makes a reservation for a restaurant using the Woocommerce Bookings, is that restaurant admin able to see the bookings in the front end dashboard (without needing to see WP backend) just as the person making the reservation is able to see?
- Second, If so, are they able to also confirm the booking from there as well?
Hi there,
For WC Bookings, those are managed in the back-end. See here: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/managing-bookings/
Listing owners will need to log-in to manage and confirm bookings.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Bryan
Absolutely incredible theme! I have several applications for this and can’t wait to get started using it.
A couple of pre-sale questions:
1. Can you limit the number of pictures that a lister includes? 2. Can you limit the video size that is uploaded by a lister? 3. Is it possible to make custom payment packages that limit some of the functions? For example, I need to offer a basic listing for free. But I would like to offer a paid plan that includes the option to add photos and video, for example, for a fee. Can this be done easily? 4. Another project I have requires an events directory. I read in the comments awhile back that you believe this could be used with Events Calendar Pro (If I remember) to make this work. Has anyone done this that you are aware of or can you advise further what else would be needed? Thanks, Katia
In the future you will have more control of pricing packages and what fields display on the submission form, example the free package does not display image upload, video upload, limit text that can be input in the fields etc.
This is a feature that will be added to the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin.
Regarding your events question – Integration with an Events Plugin is planned, there are many options so we are currently evaluating the best plugin for the job, so far we like the look of Events Calendar by Modern Tribe as it integrates with WooCommerce for selling tickets. We will need to add some customize styling and it will be supported by Listify.
Cheers! Adam
Thanks Adam – the planned changes sound great and exactly what is needed to make this theme perfect.
But can you advise if currently there is a way to set a limit to the number of images the user uploads (and video size)? I’m trying to avoid the situation where a user uploads a ridiculous number of photos and a small documentary, as opposed to a couple of images and a 2 minute video.
I have a couple pre sale questions.
I love this theme and I would like to use it to built on it. I would like to integrate a member buying and selling interface rather then just having it as a listings site I would like people to list products then other members could buy those and earn a virtual currency which they could then use toward buying other things on the site. Is this possible to do with this theme? Can a member system for buying and selling goods and services with other members on the site be implemented?
This sounds like it goes beyond what the theme was designed to handle. It’s a great idea but it is not something we’ll be able to handle anytime soon.
However, if you need help customizing Listify please get in touch with Travis from WerkPress or contact a customization service over on Envato Studios, we just don’t have time for custom development, sorry about that.
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi there, when click “Customize”, the page is blank, same for “Header, “Background”...etc, using WP 4.1, kindly advice, thanks.
Hi there,
This is an issue with PHP 5.2. If you can ask your web host to upgrade to PHP 5.3, it should resolve the issue. Otherwise, you can wait for a future update which will address this issue.
Thanks,
Bryan
Is it possible for people to list their booking on the site like this – https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing/234-euclid-ave-euclid-ave-cleveland-oh-44114-united-states-noodlecat/ at the front end when they register?. Also can they add their pay pal account so they get paid directly ?
Hi there,
Yes, your users can submit their listing information on the Submit Listing form seen here: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/submit-listing/
You’ll need to set up your site to take bookings first:
How do I take bookings on my listing pages?
http://listify.astoundify.com/article/508-how-do-i-take-bookings-on-my-listing-owner-pages
and then…
How does a listing owner get their commission when a product/booking is purchased on their listing?
http://listify.astoundify.com/article/508-how-do-i-take-bookings-on-my-listing-owner-pages
WooCommerce (required to run the theme) has PayPal integrated as the main payment gateway. It has extensions for other gateways if you’d prefer to use something else.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Bryan
Hello Bryan, Many thanks for taking your time to explain.
Will the payment made go to my pay pal account or the Profile owners account. The main aim is for people to list their bookings without login in to the word press backend, have their profile as seen on the demo site but do everything including creating booking slots on the same page without having to login to the backend. I hope this explains it.
Hi,
Just buyed. Great template. Can i have psd files ? i need it for a presentation.
Thanks for your help.
Hi there,
We design in the browser, and then if there are certain parts that need to be designed then we usually just use Sketch – http://bohemiancoding.com/sketch/
Need to create a PSD from the theme design? Use: http://www.pagelayers.com/
Thanks,
Bryan
Hello , I know you fazema theme installation if we pay for it. How to do in case of additional pluguins ? You also install ?
Hi there,
We don’t offer theme or plugin installation. If you need assistance, we suggest contacting Envato Support as they offer theme and plugin installation services.
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi, before purchising the theme I am looking at the ability to optimise the page for the search engines and was wondering if text can be added at the bottom of the page for each listing category, for example on: /listing-category/arts-entertainment/. At the moment there is only the listings and the map, i would like to add more content. Also in the URL /listing-category/arts-entertainment/, can /listing-category/ be rewritten easily? for example /xyz/arts-entertainment/ Thanks, Philippe
@idcreativestudio took the words right out of my mouth..

Another URL question: currently the address is being injected into the slug for a listing, which results in a rather ugly long URL – can we modify this behaviour so that the region is injected instead….or maybe just the zip code?
@stanwildify – if you bother to read the note at the TOP and Bottom of each comments page you will see the notice that the author IS AWAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS! You might not celebrate but some people do. I am sure they will answer your query AFTER the holiday when they get back.
hi Pre sale question, cn i use the opending.net scripts in the listing pages eg….... <iframe src=”http://www.opendining.net/menu/54981dc28e161c534c7dabd3?embed=true” border=”0” id=”order-frame” style=”border:0;width:100%;z-index:1000;” ALLOWTRANSPARENCY=”true” frameBorder=”0”></iframe> <script src=”http://www.opendining.net/media/js/order-frame.js”></script>
so the menu shows when people visit their page
Hello Adam i was wondering if you can tell how do you get that effect when you click on REGIONS or CATEGORIES .. instead of choosing, you can actually WRITE WHAT YOU WANT .. can you please tell how you did that?

Hi I have a question: How to hide the Secondary Navigation from listyfy theme…?
You could do it with a line of CSS, a simple change.
