do you know if paid listing plugin can calculate a refund if someone paid for a 60 day listing but only used 33 days? Or any plugin.

I’m not sure about the first question, that would be best answered by the WooCommerce Paid Listings developer his name is Mike: https://wpjobmanager.com/contact/

Regarding question #2 please see: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/530-it-it-possible-to-notify-the-listing-owners-that-their-listing-is-about-to-expire

Cheers! Adam

I clicked the link and it said “coming soon”. Does this mean the answer is coming soon or this feature is coming soon. I purchased a $80 plugin but if you guys are coming out with this feature, I need to know so I can get a refund before I install the software. Thanks

I spoke to the WP Job Manager plugin developer and he said that it is not currently possible to send alerts to listing owners that the listing is about to expire, it will be a feature the developer will need to add.

Please add your feature request for this here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-job-manager

question, I want to add PRODUCT LISTING with prices. like a CSV import that show the ITEMS with Prices of that particular store. os if its a service provider or a hotel , ITEM NAME; CATEGORY and ITEM PRICE: , can you add this as a feature request ? realy its good if we give more option, I check here like 20 similar themes, and no one has an option for the stores to show the product listing with pirces, ( dont need to connect with ecommerce ) its like just info listing

Great feature request! These are the types of feedback and ideas we are looking for, we are currently just working on the “kinks” if there are any before we start adding a ton of new features, we need to understand what customers are using Listify for and the types of features they need, if the demand is large enough we will add the feature. :)

I’ve gone ahead and added this suggestion to our Listify customer feature request Trello board for further discussions with our team and developers.

Cheers! Adam

well I think that will be small update to the site, but it will make huge difference from the other similar themes. as I dont find any that have that option, and lot of local biz would like to add a list of PROMOS or PRICEs of Products ,so people can get fast idea of the stores , if they are cheap or not . also good for local small listing directories, as they connect real stores with real prices, and type connect local stores with virtual listing

Hi, thanks for the reply to my other suggestion. I’ve got a few more ideas if you’re interested?

1) A “Move to Location” option would be useful for the results list. The user would be taken to the listings geolocation on the map. With lots of results in one area, this would be very helpful.

2) The ability to set category images for the front page. My listing images aren’t attractive, it would be good to set them.

3) When in the mobile mode, I was unable to see what the map listings were without going to their pages. This “forward and back” to view listings can be quite fiddly on the mobile. It would be great to have the current hover preview come up with a tap.

Also, +1 for this suggestion:

Can we replace the “cover image” (big banner picture) on the listing page by a map with a location marker?

Thanks again.

For Russia, you can use this template? Supports the Russian language?

You can help us translate the theme into Russian using https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/listify/

demonstratione data are included in the package?

Hi,

I’m about to purchase this so expected theme !

Many questions :

- I have understood that we need a plugin to create/edit/delete some fields. But is it possible to do that with PHP (filters and so on…)

- “Field Creator” plugin acts on submission form’s fields, right ? But what about fields on listings pages (tags = amenities) ?

- is this possible to associate some fields (tags = amenities) for different categories ? It’s important due to various businesses.

- as some said earlier, I require the possibility to associate some fields or add-on (coupons, booking,...) on different packages ! Of course some fields will be added by Field Creator plugin.

- is this possible to add a simple, traditionnal Wordpress page ? I’ve read that Visual Composer is not supported, but how do we set up a page ? Thanks !

Hey there!

1. Yes, this can be done with just PHP. There is a guide here: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/editing-job-submission-fields/

2. Not sure what you mean. The tags/amenities are items that have been added by you (the site admin) and then those are able to be chosen from upon submission.

3. Definitely something we are hoping to expand upon in the future.

4. Standard WordPress pages are supported. Such as https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/how-it-works/ and https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/about-listify/

5. It’s possible to hide these items now with a small snippet of code and we’ll likely have them hidden by default in future versions. Thanks for the suggestion!

2. I mean tags in search form (types or region listings). They are not all relevant in research and sometimes they aren’t suited to types of businesses.

So I ask the possibility to - show/hide some of them on search form - assign them to different types

2. Do you mean display different filterable tags based on the type/category that was selected? If so, this is not currently possible, sorry.

Finally bought it. :D

Can I use Visual Composer in this theme? Not for the items, but for the home and others. Thanks.

Ok, not possible. Thanks.

Can I use acf to add additional fields or do I have to use that paid field editor?

Can I show different fields for different sign up types (artists, events, misc)?

Can I easily display these custom fields in the related listings?

I’ve basically got a few different business types and I don’t want them seeing fields that don’t apply and I’ll most likely heavily edit the single listings pages so they all look very different from each other.

Thanks

Also I just saw in your guide there is not limit to how many images a user can submit – can this be controlled easily to limit to say 5..

Hey there Alex,

You don’t have to use the Field Editor plugin. You can add/remove/change fields with PHP. There is a helpful guide here: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/editing-job-submission-fields/

You can use this technique to only add/remove/change field types based on a URL parameter or a similar technique. This is something we hope to expand upon in the future and make easier to do.

There is currently no limit for the number of images per listing, but definitely something we will keep in mind for future versions!

Great job on your theme launch…looking good so far! Just a few things.

1. Is it possible to add captions to the photo gallery images? I’m just thinking for restaurant owners that post images of their food items. It would be nice to know the name of the dishes they post on their listing.

2. I found a bug in the latest Internet Explorer 11. See image below:

http://s1.postimg.org/k5j5crfgv/IE_Bug.jpg

The I.E 11 bug was fixed in 1.0.0.4 Thanks for the report on this bug, and thanks for the feature request so that listing owners can add captions to the photos in the gallery.

Cheers! Adam

Thanks Adam!

I see that when a user creates an account and they go to dashboard and recieve message they have no subscriptions and user click to subscribe they are taken to the Shop page:

https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/shop/ I am not certain why for a listing engine there’s a shop or when take users to the Shop page to subscribe? also when treat membership as a listing of shop products why not eliminate the Shop page and take users to the pricing page to sign up for subscription https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/plans-and-pricing/

Or is it that your plugins for the Package/pricing page isn’t integrated with WooCommerce? if so How can you make that a feature in your next update.

I personally believe this is an important feature!

Hey there,

This link is automatically generated by the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin. You can modify this template file in your child theme if you would like to customize what is shown in the subscription area.

Hey Guys, I purchased the theme, and loving it so far. I’m trying to set it all up, now. Have you created a step-by-step setup guide (not the installation… more configuration settings.), including how to setup all the third-party plugins? The documentation jumps around a bit. I need the instructions to make it fully functional as a paid listing service. I know there are a lot of working parts, using tons of third party plugins. I just need the details on how to tie them all together.

Also, instead of Gravity Forms, is Formidable Pro compatible?

Which third party plugins are you looking for help with? You said paid listings, but are there any other third party plugins that you need help with?

What is your business model? i.e. are you using WooCommerce + WC Paid Listings only? Or do you plan to use WooCommerce subscriptions?

Are there any other plugins you need help with on the setup?

In the mean time while I await for your response i’ll send you a link that could help with the setup of the payment packages: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/321-woocommerce-paid-listings-creating-a-job-package

Contact Listings supports NinjaForms, Contact Form 7 or Gravity Forms we haven’t added Formidable Pro compatibility: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager-contact-listing/

Cheers! Adam

Better still as i’m about to log off for tonight do you mind sending me and email with all these details?

Great response to the theme so far! Keep those suggestions and comments coming!

Do you have a widget to display Featured Listings on Homepage or other pages, listing pages so featured listings appear first? This would be a great Feature!

Pre-sales question – We’d like to do the following and i wanted to know if your theme (with all the plugins you’ve developed and tested with) can offer this functionality:

We want the users submitting listings to either post a ‘free’ listing or a ‘premium’ listing. The ‘free’ listing is only able to be viewed by logged in members (or alternatively ‘free membership” users). The ‘Premium’ listing is able to be seen by all (including users not logged in, aka guests).

We’re trying to offer listing packages that offer increased exposure basically…what type of options do you have for what listings users are able to access based on the listing type? This has to be an automated process thats part of the listing submission process.

Do you have an Admin Demo to share?

Thanks!

Hey Jaffster, I saw your comment and will reply tomorrow, heading out for tonight, but i’ll be back at it the morning which is when I hope to reply to yours and other comments.

Thanks so much for your patience!

Adam

Further to my last, Is the template compatible with Visual Composer? Cheers

Adam, social media icons like FB Twitter etc, can that be implemented on each business listing?? D

Ahhh nice!! Thanks mate!

Hello, 1) The search results can be sorted randomly? 2) The subject is (or will be integrated) with google maps / google street view? Thank you.

Hey acmsoft , I saw your comment and will reply tomorrow, heading out for tonight, but i’ll be back at it the morning which is when I hope to reply to yours and other comments.

Thanks so much for your patience!

Adam

Hello? :-) One more thing: can i customize booking button (title and link)?

Wow! Great theme!

I want to make a marketplace with “product vendors” plugin. Can i geotag products and filter products on map like the “directory listings”?

Thank you!

Hi Adam! So its possible with your theme?

Thank you!

You can list products in each vendors listing page, see examples: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing/redmonds-bar-and-grill/https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing/240-leighland-avenue-oakville-on-canada-oliver-bonacini-cafe-grill/

At this time we don’t list products on the map or have them geo tagged as this is niche feature, 99% of people will not want to geo tag products, they will want to geo tag the business listing, after-all we designed this theme to be a “directory theme” with a marketplace feature attached, not the other way round.

Right now a developer would need to add this feature but if we get enough people saying, “We need to geo tag products on the map to replace listings” then it will be a idea that we will add in a future release of the theme.

Can you give me use-case/scenario of why someone would want to create a website with a product map? Can you give me live examples of sites that currently done this, i.e. a large marketplace that displays a map of products? No sites i’ve visited do this, examples http://www.etsy.comhttp://www.artfire.com/http://www.storenvy.com/

Please let me understand more in detail.

Cheers! Adam

99% just cloning things and 1% make things…:)

Examples for geotagging products:

- Local marketplace(for any niche site or global marketplace) - Local restaurant and food locator + food delivery network - Classifieds on map

I thing search on map is the feature for everything.. people wants the nearest and cheapest thing today.

Adam, i think you are giving Rob at Javo Directory a good run for his money! Great looking theme!

I have previously purchased Jobify!

Hey just wondering with Listify, when can banner ad’s be placed. Javo has 3 positions currently.

I am very keen to buy but I do need to see where i can monetize this theme!

Appreciate very much your time on this one!

Dave

Yes, there are widget areas where the AdRotate shortcode can be added so that advertising banners can be placed, this would include, home page, blog pages/posts, listing pages, shop pages etc etc, basically any sidebar/content area that is a widget area.

There are a ton of ways to monetize using Listify and there are a few examples of suggestions on how to do this in the sale text/copy.

Cheers! Adam

Excellent stuff Adam, thanks mate appreciate your time getting back to me!

No worries Dave! And thanks for purchasing Jobify!

Adam

Hi Adam,

Having a bit more luck with this now, but just wondering if ‘WP Job Manager Field Editor’ work with Listify? It’s a add-on so I’m guessing it should work? This is definitely something that should be is already on – is there not a simple way to edit the ‘Submit Listing’ page with different fields! I want to create my own fields that allow HTML content.

Hey, I just emailed you back James, can we continue this conversation via email.

But to answer your question: Yes. Field Editor works with Listify.

You can completely customize the submission fields using the field editor plugin if you do not know PHP.

field editor

Cheers! Adam

Is it possible to have an add logo option above the address or somewhere else? a lot of the businesses would want to have their logo brand somewhere in the listing i imagine.

Great feature request! These are the types of feedback and ideas we are looking for, we are currently just working on the “kinks” if there are any before we start adding a ton of new features, we need to understand what customers are using Listify for and the types of features they need, if the demand is large enough we will add the feature.

Cheers! Adam
