Why does this theme keep crashing with a critical error every time I try to update my PHP from 7.4 to 8.0??? I deactivated all plugins and get the same result, so definitely the theme.

I wonder why it took you 4 days to come back to me if your response time is 24 hours. Strangely all the messages that I sent on the forum got ignored until I came on this forum.
In my last message to you I asked you to confirm which plugins on the website are yours and which ones were not but you say that I should know which ones are and which ones are not. I have had the website for 3-4 years so think that its very unlikely that I am not going to remember which ones are yours and which ones are not. That is something that I would reasonably expect you to confirm. Once confirmed I will take this to developer to get their view and to see if files can be restored back to original.
Once restored I will get the update done.

Hi, I informed you on this forum that I was going to make a request to Envato for a refund and strangely enough you have removed the post.
I made the request anyway and Envato informed me that they would notify you and that you would get in touch. That was 4 days ago and I have heard NOTHING from you.

Where did you send the replies to as I received nothing, nothing 4 days ago and nothing today. No formal complaint or reference number in relation to my refund request. Please send to the email address that you have for me on file because the rumour going around is that Envato do not issue refunds. They say they do but just ignore customers emails and the only way they can get their money back is by asking PayPal to take back their payments. When they do that Envato puts a stop on the customers account so they no longer have access.
I am hoping that the rumour is not true and you will do the decent thing and just refund me. The rumour is also that you delete bad reviews and comments which is what you have done and why the post I sent on this forum 4 days ago has been deleted.

As it is such an old version is it best to update it first, plugins first, or Wordpress first.

Let’s get into the updating details. First, disable all plugins and themes. Then, update the WordPress. After that update the Quasar Theme following these steps;
- Connect to your FTP
- Go to “wp-content/themes/quasartheme/”
- Delete the “quasartheme/” directory and all of it’s content
- Download the new version from Themeforest
- Unzip the installable zip file
- Upload the “quasar/” directory to “wp-content/themes/”
- Make sure you do not duplicate directories
WRONG : wp-content/themes/quasar/quasar/ THEME FILES CORRECT : wp-content/themes/quasar/ THEME FILES
- Now login to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and go to “Themes”
- Select “Quasar” and activate it
- It will bring a notification to install new plugins. Follow those notification steps.
- Now you have the latest version

Hi.
I have been trying to get support for this for 4 days and had no reply whatsoever from you despite sending several emails.
As I said in the email sent in the support forum, your instructions did not work. Since then you have not responded, hence why I am trying to contact you from here. Waiting for 4 days just to get a reply from you isn’t very good at all. Especially if your reply does not even solve the issue and I have to wait another 4 days for another reply.
Can you respond please and also let me know what the average response time for you to reply to customers is.

The response that you put on RockThemes Support is slightly different to the one that you have sent to this public one, not sure why that it is. You also never responded to my question about your customers response time so I am asking you again. What is your average customer response time? Can you answer please?
If you only support your own theme and plugins can you list the ones on the website that are not yours. Please also explain how plugins that are not your own can cause the error log when they have been deactivated. I would think that they would cause errors when they are activated, not deactivated. Once deactivated they have no contact with website so how are errors caused?
The only plugin that is listed in the error log is WP supercache. I am copying this reponse to RockThemes Support too
Hi,
Our Support is within 24 hours here and in our Support Forum as well. There is no time difference with here and our Support Forum. We try to answer every question related to our products within this time frame.
Some 3rd party plugins (such as caching plugins) modify .htaccess file. They also modify some other files. So even if you have deactivated or deleted it, it will still function in your file base and .htaccess. Thus, you should know what plugins you are using and how they function.
What we can advise to you is, to make sure your files are restored back to original after deactivating those 3rd party plugins. These changes may be different for different 3rd party plugins. But as you can see in the errors clearly, the issues you are having is not related to our theme our plugins. So fixing those issues on your site is beyond our support scope.
The plugins which comes with our themes does not make any changes on .htaccess. So you can safely deactivate them. This is why I have advised you to deactivate all plugins and update the WordPress first.
Once you have updated the WordPress simply update the Quasar Theme with the instruction we have given to you in our Support Forum. Then you will see the required plugins notice. Which will ask you to install/activate theme based plugins. You will see the list of them once you activate our latest version.

Those errors should not be there after the update. May I learn what was the latest theme version before this update? Are you using Child Theme? Also, can you try to disable all 3rd party plugins and see if that makes any change?

I am facing many issue while building the website. 1. The Curvy Slider I am have updated many times but haven’t get fixed the new images are showing its just loading. 2. Not able to modify buttons as per the new style if I add some third party plugins then that option is not available in rock page builder 3. Not able to modify header the favicon i have changed many times but it gives save error

1 – All sliders in the Quasar Demo are included in Quasar WordPress Theme. When you install Quasar Demo Data, sliders will be added to your site.
2 – We do not have any version outside of WordPress. Curvy Slider specially made for WordPress and Quasar Theme.

Yes, Curvy Slider V1 will only work with Quasar Theme. And Curvy Slider V2 will only work with our Azoom Theme. They are specifically built for our themes from performance to integration. So they will not work with other themes.

Hi xander, the problem was on the width between the parts of the menu. The peculiarity was that pagespeed in the part of the data that detects by itself tells me that I exceed the cls values while in the data control part it gave me a good value. P.Š. I have no reason to give false information. now webpagetest are right.

If you go to the page indicated by you: http://quasar.rockthemes.net/home/home-portfolio-static/ using chrome’s web vitals extension you will find that hovering the mouse over the different menu items when opening the curtains increases the cumulative layout shift value. This also happens to my site
