hi, I would like to order and licence this theme, but I have a few pre-sales questions: - I would like to run this theme – after customizations – on a “demo”-site for the customers. After that, this theme should be applied on the final site for the customer. Do I have to purchase 2 licenses to be able to do that? - How can I customize the bbPress / BuddyPress part of the theme?
Thx a lot…
Hi There,
Each purchase entitles you to one license that you can then validate in our member area. You can revoke that license and re-apply it to another install at any time, so if you wanted to validate a local environment where you were working on the client site then revoke it and apply the license to the customer’s production location you could do that.
bbPress/BuddyPress options out of the box can be seen in the demos, however customers are welcome to customize anything they wish with their own customizations from there.
Let us know if you need anything further!
Hi there,
We’re having difficulties to understand how Cornerstone works, as it has a lot of custom CSS compared to Visual Composer.
Question: Are you going to still have Visual Composer in further versions? Or are you going to discontinue it?
Thanks!
Hi There,
The first part is not entirely true as it depends on the Element and the degree to which you want to customize it. From a file size standpoint, Cornerstone is roughly 1/3rd the size of VC so it is very learn and optimized.
With regards to VC, customers who are using it now or wish to use it on future sites will be able to do so.
Cheers!
Hi, I’m helping a client with his website and he has purchased your theme, and I’m going to add a button but I dont get any colors its transparent and it looks like Transparent Round (On Textured Background). he has several of those on the FrontPage but now I want one with colors, how do I do? You cant have both transparent and colored buttons on the same page
Hi There,
There are global button styles you set in the Customizer, however if you need custom configurations for individual buttons beyond that, would simply involve a little customization. Whomever purchased the license will be able to register for access to our member center if they need any help with this.
Cheers!
Hi guys, Question. I love you theme option Renew 3. Is it possible to change the background, on left and right, on every page you visit in the menu? Maybe with a plugin?
Greetings
Hey There,
This is possible by applying custom css or as you’ve already outlined looking for a plugin which can do that for you. If you need any help with the custom css solution please join our member area here and open a topic and one of our support staff can guide you into the right direction.

Doublepost. I’ve replied to your most recent one.
I use domain mapping, multi domain, with the primary domain that redirects to the secondary domain which disables the primary domain … with visual composer I had access to the configuration of the site by the secondary domain but now with cornerstone i am forced to disable secondary domain to gain access to the configuration of the page … I think it beugue …
Thank you in advance

PRe-Sales, I see on the Ethos package home page option 3 there is a video background frame, do we have control over the video background i,.e no loop, loop, loop to an image? also when I veiw that layout the nav bar is at the bottom of the frame on a large monitor.. the drop down .. drops down off screen is there a way to change that? Can revolution slider be implemented into this theme?
thanks very nice theme..
Hey There,
For the background video of a row you can’t change the video settings, it will be looped since it’s meant to be a visual way of adding a background “image” with motion. We support Revolution Slider so you can use it as your primary slider or anywhere in and between your content. The way the effect with the navbar works is that we use a Revolution Slider on the top of the page with an offset at the bottom which is exactly the height of the navbar that’s why you see the navbar on initial load, once you scroll down the navbar goes to it’s real position which is a fixed top position. You can alter this at any time.
Hiya, I am the version 3 of your theme (the latest version just before 4 came out) and I get this on standard pages : http://agencyclients.com/wcb/events/ – a strage error with slider.
Hi, i just updated the site of my customer to the latest version, erased X – The shortcodes, installed Cornerstone and updated VC, the issue is that if i try to use cornerstone, i get a white background with some animated gif and nothing more… if i try to use VC frontend editor i get… a white overlay layer but i can´t do anything… do you have any idea about what is wrong? Let me know…
Hi There,
Not right off, but a member of our development team would be happy to take a closer look in the forum. If you have a caching plugin installed, make sure that is deactivated and try again. If that doesn’t do it, we can help investigate further in the forum.
Cheers!
Hi, no caching plugin installed at all right now, let me know how i can get this solved, i want to use cornerstone since i´m seeing a lot of compliments about it but in my case is a fail, hopefully temporary. Thanks.
Real quick, could you tell me does cornerstone handle virtual pages better or regular? I have a plugin that offers a choice between the two. Thanks!
What do you mean by virtual pages?
That’s what they are called…maybe it’s a custom post type? First time I’ve ever seen this option too. A choice to have a ‘virtual page’ and also to switch it to a real page. Either way, it acts as a page.
You are welcome to ask one of our developers in the forum but our products sit atop standard WordPress features (standard pages), so something outside of that would fall under custom development.
Ok thanks!
You’re Welcome
I cannot find any evidence that there is a renewal or subscription fee for a license. I just want to be 100% sure that if I pay for a license I will have the right to use this product free of additional charge. Pay once or pay annually?
Hi There,
The license is a one-time fee for a single use (updates are free). The only additional cost would be if you wanted to use X on say 3 sites, then you would simply purchase 3 regular licenses.
Cheers!
This theme really does look amazing, but I have lately become more concerned with speed and pizzazz. Unfortunately, what I’ve experienced in the past is that with themes with a ton of features like X, the load time is a bit slow. In the demo here on themeforest, I am seeing a slower than desirable load time for X’s demo as well. What do you recommend to speed up this theme to make it faster than the demo here on themeforest?
Hi, I read this in a review: Some premium themes include many of their core functionality as part of the theme itself. This can include features such as layouts, buttons, forms and many other page elements. This means that when you change themes, most of your content is broken and no longer renders in the way it did when you created it.
Thankfully the developers of X have included a custom plugin that contains shortcodes (40 at the last count) for much of the functionality of the theme. This means should you ever switch to another theme, you won’t be left with a massive clean-up job to undertake, fixing post content. That is of course provided you leave the plugin installed. Not being tied into a theme makes it an easier decision to install it in the first place.
Can you explain how this works?
Thx, Marcel
Sure
In the past, many themes included Shortcodes in the theme files directly so that if you ever switched to another theme, any Shortcodes you used in your content would be broken. From our initial release in December, 2013 our Shortcodes have been included in a separate tool that is portable. It is also considered best practices to do so as it is ideal to have functionality in plugins as much as possible.
Cheers!
I have issues regarding my Account registration. I did the first step. Added my themeforest account & purchase code. Result was an Webservice Error (?). Tried to re-register and got the info, that this purchase code is already used. Went to the login page, “Forgot password” -> I am receiving no mails from you… now I am stuck, can you help me? Kind regards
now I received the mails with more than 1h delay… i guess everything will be fine from now on
Glad it’s working now (shouldn’t take an hour though). If you have any other trouble in the future, feel free to get in touch.
Cheers!
Can’t find the Cornerstone Files in the Theme Download. Can you please advise? Thx a lot
Hey There,
You can find the .zip file in your theme folder under /x/framework/plugins/ – let me know if you need anything else.
Hi! I wanted to know if there was a way to use X theme before linking it to a website. I am currently exploring the designer world on multiple localhost websites using AMPPS. I haven’t bought a domain name nor subscribed to a web host yet, but I will when I feel like I’m ready. I want to use X theme for my future website, but wanted to play with it a little before. If I buy a license, will I be able to use it on a localhost website before using it on a public website? Is it possible to transfer the theme from a website to another (when I will be ready to create my public website)? What do you recommend? Thanks in advance!
Hey There,
You can delete and regenerate the API key as often as needed so moving the site around is no problem at all. Using it on a localhost first and then moving it to the main site can be done at any time. Let me know if you need anything else.
Perfect! Thanks for the help
My pleasure!
