Trying to update php.ini settings so that I can upload additional demo content. I’ve tried for some time today to update the php.ini file on my FTP but to no avail, is it possible to install the theme for me with log in details?

We cannot do anything unless you have increased your PHP limits, you can ask the hosting company to do it for you that’s their responsibility.
After you’ve done that you can easily install the demo content without any problems, if you encounter any problem we will take care of it.

Well. No matter if I set header to “static” or “absolute”, both logo and menu remain in the same location when I scroll through pages. I can’t see any difference between these two settings ¿perhaps are they affected by another setting?

Have you checked it in other pages, sometimes it doesn’t affect anything because the content of that page is too short and you can’t see the results.

For debugging purposes I’ve tried the same thing in our demo sites, in both variants logged in and not logged in, and in both cases emails were sent successfully, see the inbox:

It is weird why this happens only to you, just try it here and see if it works also for you:

SOCIAL NETWORKS INSTAGRAM BUTTON QUESTION:
1) Share Story Networks don’t have instagram button option for blog and portfolio. The theme offers to set the appearing order of instagram social networks in the footer only?
2) How do I set the rounded buttons within the singles pages for blog and portfolio in the theme options instead of text? Do I need to use VC to insert rounded social networks for each post and portfolio?

1. The reason why we haven’t added the Instagram to the share is that we could not integrate it together with WordPress, because Instagram has a different form of sharing things.
2. You can manage this through the Theme Options, make sure you tweak a little with it so you will know the theme better.

Since I purchased your theme I’ve been trying to make color changes and still having issues and WP Dashboard > Laborator > Theme Options > Theme Styling It’s NOT working as I was expecting. I’ve been trying to find the correct css by reading all posts to figure out from discussion and it’s seem that lot’s of people is having issue setting colors.
The portfolio heart (counter like-count) on thumbnails is black and white hover, underline and that’s not the color of the site.
I Would appreciate if you could please send the correct CSS for it?

I very much like the abstracted maps you have shown on your example content sites. I am now trying to create a map using the Visual Composer modules.
I note that there are two map modules in Visual Composer.
1) Google Maps – Map block 2) Map – insert Google Map (Laborator)
I have successfully created a location specific map using module #1 but it is a standard, and not very attractive, Google Map.
I believe the second module is used for the abstract maps. I have successfully installed the #2 module and it presents a map centered in the Indian Ocean. I have searched in vain for the popup box that allows me to enter the geographic coordinates to establish my desired location.
In answer to another user’s query you replied “changing the location of the map is easy, click at the top of the page Edit (if you’re logged in as admin) and click the pen icon of Map Location, now a popup will appear where you need to change the latitude and longitude of the map position.” I cannot find the “pen icon of Map Location.” How do I get to this popup? Oh, what I would give for some practical documentation on your fine theme
It is my hope that the popup, once found, will include a field for the map style, which I can acquire from SnazzyMaps.

As a postscript: I inquired three days ago about another issue – SPAN tags showing in the Category Header of a sorted blog page (sidebar right page format). This issue also appears in your sample content site. The suggested replacement of blog-section-title.php did not resolve the issue. I am hoping for suggestions on how to proceed.
I was delighted to see that the 1.3.1 theme update included:
FIX: Titles in blog categories showing markupI installed it immediately and was disappointed to see that the SPAN tags persist on my site. I cleared the cache (Safari), tried other browsers, rebooted my computer (Mac), all to no avail.
On to tother things this weekend with hopes for enlightenment next week.

Thanks for coming back to me. Sorry i wasn’t being clear. Yes I understand how to setup the menus and have be doing so from the start. However, I could not make my menus work in such a way like your Freelancer demo where you have one fixed Standard Menu and a top menu that’s toggled by the hamburger. I have already checked the box under the Top Menu option to force to have it included in the header but it doesnt show up. Is there any other things I should fixed i my selection so that I get 2 menus working just like your Freelancer demo.

We apologize for any delay, during the weekend we are not in the office. Here are my answers to your questions (fyi I was not able to view your site, it was in coming soon mode):
1. Instagram icon cannot appear in “share story” because it is not possible to share a story in Instagram, we have used some of the social networks that support content from blogs to be shared.
2. To add rounded social networks in the footer simply apply this shortcode (a little modified):
[lab_social_networks class="rounded-social-networks"]
But in order this to take effect, download this file: http://drops.laborator.co/hmqa and replace it in kalium/inc/ folder, then download this file: http://drops.laborator.co/1294c and replace in kalium/assets/css/ folder.
3. To change size and color for navigation, you need to apply your own CSS, I can help you with this but I cannot access your site.

5. Sidebar is currently not supported in blog posts because of the structure of blog posts and there is no place for sidebar according to the single blog post design.

Bug (?) with Portfolio Categories in Menu vs On Page.
Hi Guys.
I have the Menu set up to show the portfolio page, and have sub pages below it one for each category. When accessed from the theme menu these links seem to point to a ‘portfolio-category’ directory such as (website.com/portfolio-category/<category1>) which works fine.
however, from that page when you then click another category from the portfolio categories menu rendered on the page (and not going to the main menu again) it tries to append that new category onto the previous one, such as (website.com/portfolio-category/<category1>/#cat:<category2>). This essentially seems to be telling the page to render anything in category one AND category 2 on the same page.
If you simply to go the portfolio page, which has that same portfolio menu rendered on it, (and ignore the main theme menu) the links to various categories work like this: website.com/portfolio/?portfolio-category=<category1> and switching between categories is super fast and fluid.
Any suggestions here?

I don’t know if I understood your question right but as far as I know the problem is occurring rarely when clicking on the category link and then clicking again in the portfolio category.

Hey guys, i’ve recorded a video walking through: http://six-twentythree.com/navigation.mp4 so you can see what i’m clicking on, what the URL bar (top) shows as the URL that the user is on, and what the status bar (bottom) shows as the URL to be clicked (this may get covered up by the player bar of the video, just FYI)
the video starts on the main portfolio section, as you can see by the URL. selecting any of the portfolio categories from the menu works just fine, the status bar shows the link as root/portfolio-category/category, but when clicked the URL bar shows root/portfolio/#cat:category – this works just fine because the main directory path is coming from /portfolio
however, at 0:20 you’ll see me open up the menu, go to the portfolio submenu and you’ll see it go to root/portfolio-category/category to load that category’s content- this is where the problem begins.
because i’m already in that category, clicking any of the other portfolio categories from the portfolio menu (not main menu) LOOKS in the status bar like it should still go to root/portfolio-category/category, but when clicked you’ll see in the URL bar that its trying to go to root/portfolio-category/category/#cat:newcategory, which at 0:31 you’ll see is trying to load anything in the “UX” category that is also in the “advertising” category – and the user sees no results.
As for how i have things set up, i have the main level “portfolio” as a page, and then each category set up in the menu item like this: http://www.six-twentythree.com/menu_screenshot.png, and i’m using the default Kalium Full Background Menu option, and have not customized the source files in any way.

i have a strange problem apearing since yesterday: all new portfolio-items i added yesterday are not showing up in the portfolio section – not in the all nor in their portfolio-category section. I can only see the items by clicking show the post in the “Edit Portfolio Item” page. I have still a localhost-installation, updated the theme right now, re-published items, cleared the cache, used a different browser…
any suggestions?
