Hi, 1. The theme work without Visual Composer but you need to install the SHIM plugin created by us. http://forum.tagdiv.com/files_for_users/ You need VC only to create or edit the homepage then you can deactivate it.
2. Do you update from version 4.x to 6? If yes, please make sure you follow those steps form here: http://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

You know what would be really cool? A field, per post, that lets us set how many paragraphs down the page the inline post add should be. Allowing us to override the default position for a particular pages inline ad.
Hi, I will add this on our suggestion list. This can be implemented somehow with a custom field using this plugin Advanced Custom Fields and with some code changes to read from that custom filed, if you want to try!

Are there any other potential problems? (like thumbsnail to regenerate or smt else..)

Hi,
Before doing the update we recommend to make a full backup(database and files). On the update is possible to lose some settings from Theme Panel and also the widgets arrangement. You can take some screenshots of you widgets positions to re-setup them in case.
Also in the new update there are new big grids, new modules, blocks and you need to regenerate the thumbnails to, those require other image sizes.

I wanted to know what is the best way to optimize with your theme I am using mostly the newspaper default layout with a few adjustments. I use w3total cache because I got better results than using super cache. I use another plugin to compress the images called Compress JPEG & PNG images and I use imsanity and I am still getting warnings about my images. As well as loading at about 5-7 secs. I have a vps with 4 cpu cores and 4 gbs of ram and its not entirely a cheap one.. I am just wandering if there were anyother suggestions you may have in regards to speeding up the site as well as getting the google page speed rating up. I am not good at coding otherwise i would know… Thank you!!

You have some errors in the console – http://screencast.com/t/IeglF6lLD – try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and see if the issue it’s still there. If the issue is gone enable the rest of the plugins one by one until you find the one which is causing this issue.

Can we set posts as “featured” so they stay on the home page longer? If so, how?

The theme comes with a featured sort option in each block. – http://screencast.com/t/YEQI36hoItJY – This means you could set a block or slider at the top of the page and display the featured posts in it. You could display featured posts from all categories or from a selected one (or multiple selected categories).
For featured posts the theme uses a hidden category named “Featured” – http://screencast.com/t/Nit1TmoEWiPf – this category doesn’t appear on any template.
To turn a post into a featured one you just have to include it in the Featured category – http://screencast.com/t/K32LwhyWiT

1. Unfortunately it doesn’t come witch such a format, you have to look for a plugin or style them manually with custom css.
2. You could create a page which looks like that and set it as a Mega Menu, check “Mega menu from Pages”- http://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/

Hi, I got some more questions before buying 
1. There is no h1 or h2 tag on the front page but you claim the theme to be seo-optimized? 2. Any plans on enhancing the bbpress theme? Looks pretty bad at the moment to me. 3. The gray color of the breadcrumb on articles is way to bright, you cannot see it good. 4. I like the boxed version of the theme, but it seems you can only activate it by choosing a background image. Can you fix this so we can choose rgb background colors instead of having to use small images with only one color?

It looks like a slider with small navigation thumbs on the bottom. The theme doesn’t have such a slider, a solution may be to look for a plugin which comes with such a feature. Unfortunately i cannot recommend you one, the theme includes Revolution Slider but from what i know it only supports arrows and navigation bullets, no thumbs. I ran the page speed test, which is very good, but does this require enabling mod_deflate and gzip in the htaccess file?
Does the demo run on a CDN, if so, which one? What are you using for browser cacheing ?
None of this is a problem for us, but before we purchase we want to know what sort of config we need to do.
If you have a list of all of the htaccess configs (or plugins) that need to be done to get the performance that good then please let me know

It seems like a css issue, if you use a cache plugin (or cdn) clear it and see if the issue is still there, old css may be delivered. Also try to disable all plugins, enable only Visual Composer and see if the issue is still there.
