Hello, I created our organization’s website using Avada. I loved the theme and the support team. However, I submitted a ticket a couple of times recently, but my questions haven’t been answered. Wonder why??? Please help!

Yes you can have such a section. Use the blog shortcode to display any category and choose from one of our 5 blog layouts you can see on our demos.
A button would need some custom CSS, as the read more is currently only a textlink.
To get this you could use more than one blog shortcode. So for example, show one category abover such a message. Then use a full width container, add your content there, and then use another blog shortcode and display a different category.

Yes you can add that to the logo file you upload to theme options. You can insert alt text through WordPress settings: http://d.pr/i/1iIXh

Love the updates. My number one requested feature would be a Category Manger to customise templates with sliders, sidebars and content flow. The rest is so good I think you should make it a must!

Hi, yes exactly, something along the lines of what is available in both the Rockwell and Newspaper themes. I’d love to have a section in the theme options to able customise each category layout by selecting various layouts. I’d love to be able to easily select options without having to code. Be able to add a slider to the top of the pages and define the content layout like you already do for the general blog. In fact, it would be really cool if you could adapt the page builder to a category form builder type of thing.
That’s an interesting idea.

I totally believe that when you add this kind of functionality you’ll blow people away. Then you can truly have Avada themes that operate like newspapers or magazines, food menu recipe sites etc. and not just colour schemes. Content is king! Make it so! LOL

Hi,i wanted to ask if the Avada100% supports Hebrew and if iwill need any technical support to build a Hebrew site with it? also can i build websites for me and my clients with the regular license? thanks
Yes we fully support Hebrew language, you will need to translate it into Hebrew though and can follow how to do so in our docs. But we add full RTL stlyes to support RTL languages.
One single license for $58 allows you to use the them on one site, If you need it for a second site, then it requires a second license.

Pre-sale question: Does you theme supports visual composer? I know that you are using a proprietary composer, but I am used to work with Visual Composer.

Yes you can use Visual Composer. You may have to turn off our own builder, which is possible with a theme option, to avoid incompatibilities.
Also some shortcode names of VC are the same as our own. So theme styling may be applied to those, instead of the VC ones.

Hi. LOVE the update effects!!! good work. I’m using cont. boxes clean and I want to ask you if there is a way to have a modal at the button you have inside the effect. I do not want to insert an outside button because I will loose the hover effect of the icon and the title. Thanks

Inside the content box you could use a button or a modal textlink (shortcode) to link to a modal window.
At the moment it is not possile though to have the whole content box open a modal.

It will create additional files for all your custom styles, set through Theme Options and shortcodes. When using the normal mode, those styles will be added to the head tag. Some users don’t find that to be “tidy” enough, so they want to have everything in CSS files. The choice is up to you. Please just keep in mind, that the CSS compiler is more resource intensive, so make sure your server is capable of handling it in advance.

Hows it going, question… does the Avada theme allow sub menus under the main menus a the top of the page?

You can have up to 5 levels of submenus. You can either use them as normal dropdowns or also as a megamenu. Both is directly built into Avada.
You can also have a topmenu in a special topbar, where you can have mainlevels and sublevels in normal dropdown mode.

I have submitted this ticket # 29285 over 9 days ago. And seeing your support page has no way of tracking tickets for the customer (me). And all your support page says is -Fill out another ticket, Well when it takes 10 min to put in all the details of the issue, I think that resubmitting the same ticket over and over is a stupid way of running a support system.

Very disappointment with the recent support I’ve received. Like another commenter from yesterday (above) the response received from Michael wasn’t complete and our site remains broken now for over 24 hours since we attempted to update to the most recent 3.8.5
I’ve spent my entire day trying to fix CSS that did not carry over with the update and he stated I hadn’t updated my Fusion Core plugin (which I had) and that it was working now (which it wasn’t), he attached a screenshot even reflecting that the CSS hadn’t carried over, the reason I was reching out to begin with.
I attempted to reachout to your team via Twitter since I was in a panic but was advised I was trying to skip over people in line and that wasn’t fair. So here I go spending my weekend away attempting to fix what should have been an easy update.

Regarding twitter, facebook and other means of communication: we just can’t give support through these channels, but only through our ticket system, where we can make sure you have your dedicated staff member to guide you through.
I have alos checked the ticket regarding your FusioCore version. And Michael attached you a screenshot that shows, it was really not up to date, and that he fixed it for you.
If some of your CSS is still not working, it might be due to the CSS changes we introduced in Avada 3.8+, which were needed for compatibility and cleanness reasons. Yes you can have between 1 – 6 columns for portfolio pages.
Social sharing is available on the single portfolio pages. For the archive pages, you could get that with the help of a plugin.
You can exclude portfolio categories from every archive page, yes. Same is true when using the blog shortcode for normal posts too.
Pagination, infinite scroll and loading more posts on button click will work on a portfolio archive, or also if you use the recent works shortcode for your front page.
We have a topbar for contact information, social icons and a topmenu. And we also have a slidingbar feature, where you can load widgets. This may help for your newsletter.
A newsletter feature can be added through a plugin, as it is currently not part of Avada.
Post likes would need an additional plugin.
Social network icons can be put in the top header and also in the footer. Social sharing bar can be added as shortcode to any page’s content.

Yes you can use Visual Composer with the theme. But please note, that the theme comes with its own page builder that has been genuinly been developed for Avada. If you want to use VC instead, you can turn the Avada builder off to avoid incompatibilities.
