We call this style of the Header as ‘Transparent’ Header where the Top Image is Transparent behind the Menu. To get this, you have to set the Header Style as ‘Transparent’ in the ‘Header and Hero Sections’ metabox in the specific page and update the page.

Although, you have updated the plugins, I see that you are having an old version of the theme. Please update the theme to the latest version Oshin 2.1. This will resolve the issue with the gallery.

This Loader will apply only if you have enabled Ajax Transition in the site. You can disable this under Oshin Options > Site layout > Disable Ajax Transition. However if you disable this, the Site will load normally , i.e the whole page will refresh when you navigate from one page to the other.

If you want to retain ajax transition, but just hide the loader, you can use this css code below under Oshin Options>general Settings > Custom CSS

.page-loader{ display: none !important; }

You can probably add a ‘static’ icon for ‘scroll to bottom’ navigation. You have the option to add this in the Hero Section as well. However, it is not possible to make it function exactly the Scroll to Top button (i.e Fixed position it).

Is there CSS or something you could give that would change the order of the div elements for smaller screen sizes?

It is not directly possible. You will have to duplicate the entire section once again and modify it by arranging the Columns differently. Then hide the Section in Desktop and show it only in Mobile. However, duplicating content might affect any SEO that you do on your site so we do not recommend it.

Thank you for your interest in the theme. Please find my responses to your questions below -

We have tested our Site Speed on Pingdom and here is the snapshot of the results – http://cl.ly/image/2G2Z432G0M0j?_ga=1.16672694.1442751287.1420532262 . We do have optimised the files and also use ajax transition that will improve the site performance. We have used minify and caching plugin in some of the demos including the Main Demo and thus the demo is optimised to the extent needed. We have not used Cloudflare or other CDN service, as we have not felt the need yet. To address the question about the images – we have optimised the images sufficiently. As my target audience are mostly digital agencies, and photographers, the quality of images used are of prime importance and thus i cannot compromise on the quality of the images.

That said, the theme is compatible with W3 Total Cache and BWP Minify plugin and you can use them on your site.

Hi Swami, I am waiting for your reply since yesterday,
I created the portfolio items exactly the way shown in v10.
And tried to pull portfolio in my page from page builder shortcode “portfolio”, also kept template “portfolio” but alas! my page is coming BLANK.
I tried various ways but not happening.
Please help I am running out of time. It should look like exactly V10.

To add a Dual Carousel -

1. Add a new Page

2. Set the Page Template in the Bottom Right corner as ‘Portfolio’

3. In the ‘Portfolio Template Options’ metabox, choose the Slider Type as ‘Dual Carousel’. You can also set up the other options like the Category of Portfolio and Animation Style here.

The Dual Carousel template, will pull the Portfolio post items. The content that you give in the Page Builder section of the respective Portfolio will be shown in the Left and the images that you upload under the Slider Images section of the respective Portfolio will be seen in the right side.

1. Hero Section(if used) is the section that appears at the Top right after the Header in your page. The settings to configure the Hero Section is provided in each page, in the metabox called ‘Header and Hero Sections’. You can add a Slider, Image or Video in this section and set it to occupy the Full Screen or a Fixed Height. You can also write content over the Media element that you have added. You can see the Hero Section used in many Home pages in our demo itself.

2. You have Disabled the page Builder in this Page. This is why the Page Title module is shown. You can use this CSS code to hide the Title module

3. Since QuForm is a 3rd Party Plugin, not work well with Ajax Transitions. Not all the Plugins are compatible with Ajax. You do have option to disable ajax loading for the whole website, or choose specific pages alone to be excluded for Ajax Loading. The option for both is given under Oshin Options > Site Layout.

The Slider in V17 is created using the Slider Revolution Plugin. You have to edit the Content in the Slider by navigating to Slider Revolution page in your backend. Choose the Slider and you will find the option to edit each Slide. There is a text editor for each Slide which will host the content. If you need additional details about setting the slider up, you can look into the documentation for this plugin is included with the theme package as well.

Hi Alana,

Firstly, a wrong image is been uploaded as the Logo under Oshin Options > General Settings. Please remove this and upload the right file.

Secondly, have you set up this page as the Blog Page under Settings > Reading > Posts page? You need to set this up here for the Blog Page to pull all the posts.

1. I think the styling is disrupted because of the 3rd party plugin that you are having – kento post view counter . It is likely that this plugin or any other plugin that you are having is causing the problem. You can disable them and check if the issue is resolved.

2. Yes this is a minor issue that will be fixed in our update. Meanwhile you can use the Custom CSS below to have the color fixed immediately. You need to paste the code in the Custom CSS section under Oshin Options > General Settings .

3. You have to choose the ‘Color Scheme’ in the ‘Header and Hero section’ metabox of that portfolio item as ‘Light’ . Pages/Posts where you set the header as ‘Transparent’ take the color(dark/light) that is set by default. It will not take the color that you set under the Options Panel for Navigation Menu.

I just uploaded the latest version of the oshin theme and that seems to have fixed the portfolio but done something weird to the gallery-proposal page. I can work with this though, so I’m not too bothered.

You would have faced that issue if you had updated only the BE page Builder plugin, and not the theme. Glad that your issue is solved now with the theme’s update.

The issue now with the Gallery module is that , you have enabled ‘No Space Between Columns’ in the Row’s Settings. The setting is not applicable if you use the Gallery module and will disrupt the Styling. Please disable it to fix the problem.

Do you mean you want the Sub Menu to be visible at all times, without having to click the respective Menu Menu ? If so, there isn’t an option to do this. But the below CSS code will override the existing functionality and the Sub Menu will be visible straight away for Left Header Style Menu.

Thanks a lot! Your help is very much appreciated. I have a couple of other questions I was hoping you could help with.

1. I am trying to get the masonry gallery to span the whole width of the page. In the page builder, I checked off the “no wrap” option. However, there is still a white sidebar to the right side of the page. Even if I set the gallery to 4 columns, the images will reset so that there is a white sidebar. Is there any way to fix this, so that the images take up the whole page?

2. I searched through some other comments, and found exactly what I needed in your help to Sguth—I would really like the background color of the lightbox to go semi-transparent white rather than black. I tried adding the code you provided in the Custom CSS, but nothing appears to be changing. Are you using the “Portfolio” template or “Gallery” template in your page? Because, if you are using the Portfolio template, the name of item that you set up (in the respective Portfolio Item) will by default be shown in the bottom left corner of each image.
