I have just purchased but when i try to register my xtheme – it doesn’t allow me to and it says my purchase code is invalid for my username. please could you assist me urgently.

In the Setting i can just set Fullwidth or Boxed for the whole site.

Hi, on your main demo site the background video (with the surfer) is jumping as it is busy loading. Once loaded it plays smoothly. Can one first display the first frame of the video as an image until the video is cached, before it starts playing?

Hi Pete,
It may be a temporary issue due to your internet connection. We’re not able to recreate it on our end and have no other reports of it. There is not an option to display the first frame while it loads, however on mobile this is how it works out of the box – a still of the video as the background (for loading/performance reasons on mobile devices).

A strange question but I hope you can help. I had a site built for me a while ago, just a regular cms website. The developer installed the X theme, under license from a company called gnu. Anyway, to cut it short, I have no access to this theme-i cant update it, cant get demo files. Absolutely nothing. My web designer has closed shop it seems and now im stuck with this now outdated version.
I really like a certain demo file as well as all the support you offer, do i need to just go ahead and purchase the theme myself and start from there?
Is it even possible to add this theme if an existing one is loaded?
I assume the version I have is some sort of watered down version i guess. The site is running and it looks great but I am versions behind the rest. Please assist.

I have a few pre-purchase questions regarding the RENEW SHOP theme option ( or any of your SHOP options). Keep in mind I have very limited coding skills
1. I assume I and re-size the images? 2. How customizable are the image holders, as I need to place more info into it? 3. Do you have an example of what happens when I login/register? 4. Can I change the search bar categories to location and add location to a product that is uploaded, so when you search for a specific area, all products in that area comes up? 5. Can your contact form be edited so someone can send an image with it?

1. Image size is based on the max width you set for your theme. Due to the responsive design the images will always try to fill up the space / container for the best experience possible.
2. What exactly do you mean with image holders and what would you like to change / alter?
3. A customer runs through a normal checkout process you can check on all our shop demos. As administrator you have the normal WordPress dashboard access including WooCommerce.
4. That will require a plugin or custom modification of WooCommerce.
5. We support Gravity Form and Contact Form 7 both have the options or an extension to achieve this.

I am ready to buy but there is one thing that I really need which will make this my dream theme.
Basically I want to find a great plug-in so that can add my desired style of hover effect to images, including functions and symbols such as a lightbox and link to page, across any section on my site (blog, portfolio, etc).
I see that here on Envato there are some for sale…
I would like to know if it is doable for newbies (I am a very quick learner!) to implement such plug-ins. I have used Genesis in the past and know the basics of installing plug-ins. If it is very complicated and I need to pay someone, is it a huge job for them to do?
I understand that this is beyond what your support would offer as it is a customisation, but it would be so very helpful if you can give me an idea as to how doable this is, as this is a functionality I’d love to have.

Hey There,
Most plugins should work fine with our theme and might need only small tweaks to work seamless. We do not support 3rd party plugins but if you’re running into issues we can give you some guidance in our forum in the member area.
Changing hover styles is most of the time something you can achieve with CSS so the use of a plugin is not required. Still bear in mind that this is a customization so we can’t provide support for that.

Ethos doesn’t seem to work for me. on the customize screen the preview shows it but it appears as blank when i actually save it. Any ideas? Here’s my website cacustomaquariums.com

I was browsing your showcase sites and noticed that many of the sites using the Ethos theme were extremely slow loading where as the Integrity themed sites loaded very quickly. If it was one or two sites I wouldn’t be concerned, but I checked many of them on Pingdom and site load times were mostly 10 seconds plus. This concerns me as this was the reason I would buy the X Theme. It’s not my web connection as Im on a fibre optic work connect. Why would the Ethos themes be loading so slowly?

Generally speaking all of our stacks have the same performance but due to the different types of websites you can run with the stacks there is one difference between Ethos and Integrity and that’s the use of images. Ethos is a magazine / image driven stack so it uses a lot of images, sliders, the carousels… which increases the loading time. Based on how the customer is handling image compression, caching and how many posts they display on the front page that loading page can differ and if you watch out for these things you can receive Integrity like loading times.
ok thanks. can all those extra things be deactivated? I just want to create a simple blog without all the carousels and images?
X is engineered in a way that only resources are loaded that are getting used and unused files do not decrease site speed.

Thanks for writing in! A “Regular License” is for one website, so if you have three unique domain names that you want to utilize X on, you would need to purchase three licenses of the theme to use.

Hi again I have another question…
The home page of Integrity Demo 4 on my iPhone 6 has the text cut off on portrait view. Is there an option to turn off text for mobile or have the text but get it to align centred on landscape view? Or is the text used on the demo home page a part of the image (and not layered on), and that is why the text itself is not visibly responsive ? Thanks so much!

When I choose one of the four stacks, say Integrity, are all of the elements featured within each of the Integrity demos interchangeable? It is very handy to work with a demo out-of-the-box, but wondering if I can easily create my own Integrity-hybrid. Thanks ever so much!
And an additional question!....
I am using Genesis with a StudioPress child theme at the moment and I can easily add widgets and place them wherever I like. Can I do this with the X Theme too? So for example, can I easily place a newsletter sign up form in the side bar or above (or beside) the header or place social icons wherever I want them? Or do things like this require some additional coding? Thank you guys!
A fourth question….are there any options for social sharing for individual blog posts (not from index thumbnails as available in Integrity), as I haven’t seen any on the demo blog posts so far (I am still going through them all). Many thanks!

Thanks for writing in! Allow me to run through your items individually:
- The Integrity 4 demo is using our background image feature to display the slider. This is typically intended for decorative elements and not usually for text as in this example, this is simply showcasing a possible idea for this type of layout. Since the text is part of the image there is no way to rearrange it. Alternately, you could utilize a Revolution Slider, which would respond appropriately as needed.
- Each of our demos for the Stacks are simply showcases of just a few examples of what is possible with each Stack. All shortcodes are available across all Stacks, but some features are unique to Stacks and cannot be used in different Stacks (such as Icon’s fixed sidebar, Ethos’ post carousel, et cetera).
- You can place widgets in the footer or the header widget area that collapses and is optional. Additionally, you can create as many unique sidebars to go on any page you wish, and each of these can have unique widget configurations.
- Our [share] shortcode is available to add to posts if desired for this application.

I have been going through the demos for each stack and I have a question. I did search the comments but the answers were from one year ago so not sure of the right answer! I understand that you have shortcodes for iLightbox but still so confused…
I would absolutely love to have a lightbox option for the portfolio/gallery thumbnails. So, once a thumbnail is hovered upon, a magnifying glass plus a link will show, so that the visitor can choose the link or the lightbox. Is this possible? I got confused with the answers to similar questions as you had mentioned before that it is not possible on portfolios.

You can select if you want to have a lightbox function or a link to a new page / single page. Having both at once is currently not possible.

I’m interested in building out the Ethos theme but I don’t want those 4 blocks at the top. I like the way it looks when the page is scrolled and the nav bar is fixed at the top. If I buy the X theme, can I build out Ethos without those 4 big picture blocks at the top.
