Hi, Still testing this theme for my purposes. but so far, this is the best theme I have ever used
Hi Mikelad1,
That is really nice of you to say
Thanks very much for that and for choosing 15Zine in the first place!

Urgent: I purchased your theme and registered for support, but am not receiving your confirmation email with password. We are in the middle of a huge media push and need a fix asap.
All pages and posts with custom sidebars have dropped off (I think around the time of the latest WP update). The pages/posts set to custom sidebars are not appearing in the widgets area for me to reapply the sidebars. The only fix at this point is to create a new post or page for each faulty one…but I am not keen on rebuilding pages if this is going to keep happening. (We had the same issue when we flipped the site on, but I chalked it up to the site move.)
Sample problem page: http://www.atelier6000.org/edward-curtis
Please advise!
Let me clarify…the custom sidebars have dropped off in all instances where they were set to display (primarily on posts).
Hey A6studio,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine. I will manually email you the password in a few hours (not at my desk at the moment). However, what you describe sounds like you may have renamed the theme folder name, have you done that? Because WordPress associates sidebars/menus/widgets/etc with the theme folder name, and if you rename it, WordPress thinks it’s a new theme, so it is all fresh. If you rename back to what it was, you will see the content again.
Let me know if that helps or gives you any clues!

Hi Cubell, our theme folder (“15zine-child”) has not changed from our initial installation of the theme. FYI: Standard sidebars and widgets are still displaying; the glitch involves posts that had “Use Default Sidebar” set to “off,” and custom sidebars created and applied.
Hi again,
Ah in that case, did you rename the post name or the post URL by any chance? Does the widget are for the post still appear in Appearance -> Widgets?
Cubell
Hi again—I was also wondering if there is a code to make the sidebar custom menu widget have bold text items instead of regular? Thanks!
http://thehistorytree.com/carlsonsHey again,
I had a look but there were no widgets in the sidebar. However, you can try adding this custom css to your theme options:
.cb-sidebar { font-weight: 700; }
Might do the trick.

Thanks!
You’re welcome!
Hi.
I am trying to edit the single.php file but… all that is visible on the website is not visible inside the single.php file? Like breadcrumbs, date, author name, etc…
Hi Devotionmagazine,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.
Single.php does have the calls for breadcrumbs and the by line. By they are function calls. This is object oriented programming, and it is the correct/best way to code. You write the function once in core.php and then call it everywhere you need to. So if you go to core.php and edit the breadcrumbs code there, it will automatically update everywhere where the breadcrumbs is called. Otherwise you’d get duplicated code in multiple files and you’d have to look for them all and edit them individually.
I hope this makes sense and helps.

I seem to have hit a limit to the # of menu items I can have in the top navigation bar…It won’t let me save any more without glitching… Is there a way to add more? I have about fifty more pages I need to add into the menus. Thanks!
http://thehistorytree.com(I originally had five dropdown navigation bars, but it wouldn’t allow me to put any more items in them after a certain #)
So, to clarify, I was wondering if there is a code for unlimited depth in dropdown menus? It seems like the theme might have a limit because when I add a certain # of pages to the menu, it erases some when I save the menu, like there was a cap on the # of menu items allowed.
Nevermind—I determined that it was a hosting issue… the host needed to change some codes to allow more menu items. Thanks!
Hey Dc0330,
Happy to hear you got it sorted, because I would have told you it is a hosting issue. They have limits on WordPress menu sizes and only they can unlock them.

Your Theme is Really awesome i just found in searches. I am using valenti already and it’s looking a very modern updated look. I want to suggest you one thing. If there will be option for user generated posts. Mean visitors can also add posts and content. It will be great.
Well done Team Cubell.
Hey Hemantsehgal,
Thanks so much for the kind words and for checking out 15Zine
That would be cool, but the truth is, that type of functionality 100% does not belong in a theme, it should be in a plugin. And there are lots of great free/paid plugins for that. I recommend trying a few out on the default theme (or Valenti) and see which one works well and is what you wanted. If they work on the default theme or Valenti, then they will 100% work on 15Zine too

Hello – I’m trying to remove the dark transparent overlay on all large featured images. I’ve tried the code mentioned above with no luck. I have flushed cache, etc. Any thoughts? Also, in a future release, might you consider an option to hide the title on a per-post basis? Thanks!
Hey ParentCo,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine
Can you share your site URL to see what code you tried adding and why it hasn’t worked? If you want to do it privately, you can do so in http://support.cubellthemes.com And I have plans to add new title design options, to control the dark overlay for example. That will be part of v2 update
Cubell
Thank you – the site is www.parent.co
We love this theme btw.
Hey again,
And I love that you love the theme
I plan on adding new options to show the title in different ways, including controlling the opacity/color behind. But until then try copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
.cb-fis .backstretch img { opacity: 1; }
I hope this helps.
P.s I really like your site, great job

Hello Cubell , I just saw that your theme has been released all over the internet, I meant to say the nulled version. Please remove your files from all over internet. Because we buy theme and few others get it for free. What’s difference then ….
Hi Pattu678,
The main difference is that using a pirated product is illegal in almost every country in the world. And of course Envato and Themeforest authors do their best to shut these pirates down, however, it is a constant battle between almost every digital product (music, film, themes, etc) and pirates.
But in Themes in particular, using a pirated version is very dumb. No hacker is giving away themes for free because they want to “Save people money”. The reason they do it is because it is an extremely easy way to hack a site by inserting malicious code into hacked themes that allows them to do various things, such as open a backdoor into the website’s hosting account. Which in turn allows them to use your account for anything they want, email spamming, storing illegal files, be part of a botnet for DDoS attacks or even to spread malware to your site’s visitors for whatever purpose they want, such as stealing personal data and such.
In short, people who use pirated themes are very, very foolish and are causing their own sites and visitors a huge amount of damage without even realising it.

Hello,
I recently bought this template and i have to say im really happy with it, but i just can´t figure it out, how to customize the main menu bar, like you guys did it in the demo website.
I hope you can help me.
Thank u and keep up with the good work!
Hey VanLID,
Thanks very much for your purchase and for the kind words
What do you mean by customise the main menu? Do you mean the colors? If so, simply edit the category in the menu and give it a Global Category color. The theme will automatically use that in the megamenu. And make sure you add a category menu item using the “Categories” box in Appearance -> Menus.
I hope this helps.
Cubell
Thank u very much it worked
, one more thing, how can i add some pages in the footer?
You’re welcome
Do you mean a footer menu? If so, simply create a menu in Appearance -> Menus and set it to the “Footer navigation menu”.

Hi!
First of all. This theme looks awesome!
I have a short question. Does the theme have the possibility to use a featured image with a blogpost on the blogroll, but hide the featured image at the blog post itself?
This is for me a important feature for buying of not buying the theme.
Thanks in advance for you answer! Lex.
Hi Lex,
Thanks for the kind words and interest in 15Zine
The theme has various pre-defined blog styles to choose from, and you can apply them to categories/search results/tag pages/author pages/etc, and on a latest post style homepage (Default wordpress homepage). And all the blog styles use the featured image of the post as the image shown.
I hope this info is useful.

Hi,
I tried reaching you via support. Please do let me know if you received my message.
Regards.
Hi Mansworldindia,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it. Yes I have received your ticket and it will be answered soon, tickets are answered first come first serve, so your ticket is in the queue

Hi, great theme! How I can configure the excerpt by words? I don’t like the words are cut. Regards.
Hi Alberto21,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine and for the kind words
I’m afraid that isn’t actually possible, the only way to cut the excerpt is by cutting at X number of characters, so that will happen.
There is one easy way to control the excerpt though, and that is to enable the manual excerpt (WordPress feature) and write the exact excerpt you want to appear. The theme is coded to show that excerpt if it exists. So edit a post, click on the “Screen options” button on the top right of the screen and make sure the Excerpt option is ticked so you see the Excerpt metabox.
I hope this helps.

Hi—Could you please tell me how to shrink the menu items vertically in my dropdown menu (so there’s not so much space between the names)?
http://thehistorytree.comThanks so much!
Hey again,
Sure thing, add this custom CSS:#cb-top-menu ul li ul li a { padding: 10px 20px; }
And decrease the 10px value which represents the padding above and below the menu items.
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Hi—That didn’t decrease the space. Is there another code that might work? Thanks!
Hey again,
That code definitely works, but I had a look in your Custom CSS output and it isn’t outputting, did you remove it? Or perhaps paste it in the wrong place?
Cubell
Hi Cubell,
I had messaged you in support and was wondering if you got my message. Just waiting on a reply.
Thank You
Thank You Cubell, for your response in support I had sent another message.
You’re welcome, and I am going through tickets – yours is in the queue so will be seen eventually

Hi Cubell, I’m using 1.3.1 version of 15zine and I was wondering if there is a way I can reduce the max content width lower than 1020 px. I want to make it smaller.
Thanks for your support.
Hey Dannker,
The theme only provides those options for width, to reduce it even further you will need to really edit the css file. But anything less than that would look really strange on desktops/laptops, so I personally wouldn’t recommend it.
Cubell
Hi, I am thinking of buying your theme. I have a question.
There will be a lot of pages that are used for information rather than posts. Do you have information page templates included in the theme and can this be linked to in the sidebar?
For example, I have three types of chair that I make. Can I have an information page describing the chair with pictures that is not a blog post? And can I have a link to the other chairs in the sidebar when someone views one chair?
Hey SuneetS,
Thanks for the interest in 15Zine
Pages and posts work very differently in WordPress, and the theme follows WordPress best practises, which means if you use pages as posts, then you will lose some features. Pages do have options for featured image styles, so you can use parallax/full-screen/etc featured images inside the page, but for example, you won’t be able to show pages as a megamenu or use the 15Zine latest posts widget. And to put them in the sidebar, you’d have to either install a plugin that shows pages with thumbnails, or use the default WordPress one that only shows the page titles.
I hope this info is useful.
Cubell
Hey Cubell,
Thanks for the quick reply. The design of the theme is awesome and your support around the theme seems to be fantastic too!
What you explain above makes sense and it was as I feared. Nevertheless, I think I can still make it work.
Is it possible to remove the date and views and also the share and author sections on some blog posts?
In the megamenu if you categorise the blog post can you choose which posts display here? So, if I made chairs and tables and had two menu options and had three blog posts for each category – could I use this as a way of getting around the pages not being able to be displayed in the megamenu and could I organise the order of the blog post display in the picture megamenu?
Also, can I choose which blog posts appear where on the homepage – so have different blog posts from different dates and categories in a grid?
If this can be done I feel that this theme can be used in not quite the original purpose but in a way that would still be perfect for my aims.
Thanks, SuneetS
Hey again,
Apologies for the slightly slow response on this one!
And you are welcome, I’m happy to help
Yes, there is an option to turn the by line off completely, or if you want, only turn off parts of it (for example, the date, the views, etc).
There is an option to globally turn off the About the Author block and the Sharing block in posts, however, I plan to at the very least try to add a new option inside posts to override the About The Author block. So if you turn it off globally, you can use that option to still show it on some posts, or the other way around.
And the way megamenu posts are shown is via the category menu item used and they are outputted via dates (newest first). So if you want a megamenu to show specific order of posts, you would have to manually change the dates of them to control that.
Modules can be set to show the latest/oldest/random order, so you can’t pick the literal exact order of posts. In modules you an also show posts from “Category/tag/by post name”. So you can make a module only show posts from 1 or multiple categories/tags or you can manually add certain posts to show. However, again they will be order by either latest/oldest/random orders.
I hope this info is useful and if I missed anything out, let me know!

Hi Cubell, i purchased your theme and it is simply fantastic!!! I have a question for the category pages, in addition to insert a “category ad” on top before the posts, is there a way to insert a “category ad” on bottom after the posts? Can you help me please?
Thank you in advance!!
Hi JoeBlast,
Thanks for the kind words and for choosing 15Zine
I’m afraid not, there is only an option for above the posts. To put one below you would need an ad inserter plugin or to edit the code of category.php to insert your ad.

hello,
Is it possible to get this effect (css) ?
http://allnaturals.pl/gradient.jpgI tried
http://www.colorzilla.com/gradient-editor/and put to : .cb-grid-x .cb-grid-img img { ....
but does not work.
Hey again,
You can definitely apply gradient, but apply it to this class:
.cb-meta-style-4 .cb-grid-img { }
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Thank You.
I did a gradient
But the picture is dark
How do I connect
cb -grid – x .cb -grid – img { opacity : 1; }
and :
.cb meta -style 4 .cb -grid – img {
background-image : linear – gradient ( 45deg , rgba ( 248,80,50,1 ) 0 % rgba ( 231,56,39,0.81 ) 10% , rgba ( 246,41,12,0.66 ) 18% rgba ( 241,111,92,0.45 ) 29% rgba ( 240,47,23,0.25 ) 40% rgba ( 240,47,23,0 ) 53%) ;
}
Hey again,
You can’t connect those, as the background gradient will only be visible if the image opacity is less than 1. Try changing it to 0.9 or smaller until you get the combination you want

Hello again! Just here to report a bug with the theme option “SHOW HEADER AREA ON SMALL SCREEN DEVICES”. This works properly, but the problem is you are doing the mobile detection server-side with some PHP code. This means that if you are using a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache, that code will only ever execute the first time someone loads a page. Meaning, if the first visitor is on mobile, the logo stays hidden for everyone after that, even if they are on desktop. Most people use caching on their Wordpress blogs, so it’s a pretty big problem!
I’m not sure why this isn’t just part of the responsive CSS like everything else? The fix for me was to leave this setting to ON, but then add this custom style in my child theme’s style.css. The logo then dynamically shows/hides, just like the mobile layout.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { /* hide the header logo when you are on mobile */ .cb-logo-center #logo { display: none; } }
Hey again,
Hope you’re well! But I’m not sure I follow, because I’m pretty certain that is not the case. As you say, most people using the theme have W3 total cache or another cache plugin installed (the theme demo site has W3 total cache) and there are no issues with the logo. Do you see the same issue on the demo site? However, I know what you mean and I will re-visit the code and see if I can change it to be done via pure CSS for v2.0.
