Hi Art,

I don’t think I explained myself very well sorry. I have chosen side portfolio layout and I have noticed if I have a certain amount of text for my description it hides some of it and activates a scroll area for that description. I would like it not to ever have to scroll the text. So how do we deactivate this feature. I would like the description no matter how long it is to stay visible but also keep it sticky. So no in page scroll for the description area please. Is there a bit of code I can edit to stop this?

The problem seems to be with the file permissions, you need to go to wp-content/themes/kalium and set the assets permissions to 777.

As for the first problem:

If you ever have the same problem then go to Revolution Slider see which slider you’re using and click on Slider Settings, there scroll down and open the Custom JavaScript and paste this:

Please do this, and check if the first problem is fixed, then we will go to the problem 2.

Sure – Please look at this page:

The grid layout is customised within the theme only – 3 in a row, no gaps & cover (full width). This page has been unaffected by the latest update. BUT there is now a white border on the left and right side, which wasn’t there before.

Then if you look at my home page grid:

...you can see the grid has lost it’s block styling within the grid. It’s styled (theme options) exactly as the portfolio page grid layout but just defies to obey the code. It seems to be defaulting to a set size for the block or it’s ignoring the width as the height options are working. And there is also the additional left & right borders.

I can’t see a version like this in your themes, as such, but I’ve only edited options inside the Laborator theme in WP, so there is no custom or additional code to conflict or break anything.

Hopefully you can fix it, as it was cool before the update. Thanks!

Sorry – one more thing – The little mouse icon animation on the Home Revolutions slide has never animated, as it does in your theme demos. Any ideas for a fix? Cheers!

After playing a little with the grid spacing, I have found a soltuon for it, so here it is:

To the full width row, click on Edit column icon and add class no-padding and it will work fine just like in my case:

For the mouse animation, can you please add this custom css and see if it works:

Awesome – both of them have worked! The only other thing is the layout is being ignored. You can see the settings here:

It was OK on my portfolio after update, but now for some reason (just checked again now) and it’s doing the same as the home page.. may of been cached at my end. Either way there is something strange happening to the box sizes.

About the second issue, that might be happen because of the Packery plugin which automatically will order the items, based on its clever algorithm.

Hey Arlind… it’s just my home page: http://www.rikhopkinson.co.uk and my portfolio page: http://www.rikhopkinson.co.uk/portfolio-all/ – they both have the same grid styling of the box sizes. It looks like the width’s are being overidden with the automatic ordering. It was all in a perfect grid before the update. The ones being overridden are ‘Time’ and ‘The Protein Works’. I was about to add loads more work, so could do with a fix before I get on with that. Cheers, Rik

Because of the Packery algorithm it automatically sorts items in some cases and sorting them because impossible. Can you please create new page with masonry product and try to re-insert the items and see if that will work for you. Then if so, copy the shortcode and move to the homepage and portfolio page.

I’ve played around with loads of variations, it does have a mind of it’s own, but as long as you build the grid up gradually and test it, it’s workable. I’ve re-done the grid using box-sizes of 3 and 6. For some reason it’s totally ignoring 4 and 8 box-sizes, which is a little weird.

I’m quite happy with the rework grid i’ve done (http://www.rikhopkinson.co.uk) but if you can look into the issue and fix it for the 4 and 8 box-sizes that would be cool.

One of minor niggle, now it’s been re-worked, is that you get the odd white line within the grid. Seems to change position depending on browser size. Just wondering if you know of a quick fix for this? Something like an overlap?
