I’ve enabled the sticky menu and I’m using a custom logo image for it and a background color with opacity.
1st question: In which JS file can I edit the timmings for all the effects of the sticky menu??
2nd question: Sticky menu is set to display and animate when you scroll-down X pixels. This is working in all pages except my homepage, where the sticky menu is already showing a background color on top even before you scroll down. Is there a fix for this?

All the JavaScript animations are located in this file assets/js/kalium-custom.js, you can edit there the animations done in the theme.
Can you give us your site URL so we will check what we can do about it, in the homepage the problem may be because of the slider.
Regarding your last question, I didn’t really understand it but the page descriptions have always been possible, also you can check the changelog to see what we’ve added in the new version.

You are using an old version of our theme (1.3.1) and the latest version for the moment is (1.5) (1.5.1 will come today), please update theme first.

I’ve just updated the theme and uploaded it. Even after updating this, the malfunction is still there:

With today’s update, the “Portfolio Items” in Visual Composer are no longer filtering taxonomies or tags when a Portfolio item is added to a page.
The entire portfolio now displays.

So here is the quickfix (or wait for an update):
1. Download this file http://drops.laborator.co/YsnO+2. Replace it in this directory:
/wp-content/themes/kalium/vc_templates/
It should fix your issue.

Hi, I found that Kalium use javascript to load posts on the front/blog page, meaning that if a user has turned off javascript in the browser, no content will show. Are you planning on making a fallback solution for this in a future update, so that at least the content can be read?

You’re right somehow but the method we’re using to display the blog posts doesn’t allow us to do it without JS, also this may not be a problem because most of the browsers have the JS enabled and it will work everywhere.

I did update but still having this problem. Another problem is after updated my theme part of my portfolio on Homepage diappear. I checked on page settings, portfolio items still there.
Woocommerce error : Your theme (Kalium) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

1. This problem will be fixed on the Kalium 1.5 update.
2- That is happening because you have updated latest version of WooCoomerce, that was not supported on our 1.4.5 theme version.

It would appear there is no way to change or disable the default hover effect on the new blog post widget released in version 1.4. Am I missing something? Ideally this would respect the blog page setting.
For the blog post there is no option like this, you can achieve it somehow manually but for now we haven’t added this option, maybe it will be possible in the next updates

I see 4 months ago you added in your comment that you guys are going to add woocommerce shop functionality which would make the theme price to $58. I see price is $58 but no woocommerce. I love your theme, but am in the edge of deciding between this theme vs Notio – Deluxe Portfolio Theme. Notio offers Text, horizontal, vertical, split blog posts and quite an option to be very creative. Yours looks as good as notio. Infact Notio theme speed test, and google insight score were better, but am still towards yours. It’s a close call. So i can make quite a few suggestions to fulfill photographer’s needs. I am a professional photographer myself, and few integration with selling photos online like graphpapers plugins would be great. And anything that Notio has, if you could include it -that would be awesome.

I installed the theme, but haven’t been able to get the portfolio to display properly. the individual pages work without a hitch (see, for example, http://laurajcole.com/portfolio/rollins-magazine/), but I can’t connect them to the home page or the portfolio landing page (http://laurajcole.com/portfolio-2/). Instead, it just shows a blank page.
My max_execution_time is set at 120, and I use SiteGround, which says they won’t increase it to 180 without my paying at least $56/mo, which is ridiculous for a personal website that won’t get much traffic.
I’ve spent 10 hours today trying to install this theme and update my site, I haven’t been able to find a work around, and I’m wondering if you have any other solutions or if I can get a refund for the template.

A few details I would love to figure out.
1. I would like to create a main page with a single carousel of images that link to the projects. It would be preferable if the project title was displayed under the image, but not absolutely necessary.
2. After clicking on one of the projects showcased on the home page carousel, I would like to go that specific project without it being labeled …com/portfolio/projectname. I would like it to read …com/projectname
3. Given this, I would like the menu system to read
Selected Works > Profile Contact
“Selected” would be home. “Works” would have a drop down sub menu of all the projects.
4. I have a web font from fonts.com and cannot get it to work. Should I be copying a Javascript link or plain URL? Where would I copy it? Would it be a typekit?

Question 4: We don’t support fonts.com fonts for the moment. As for the typekit fonts, can you please follow this procedure.
Firstly create the font in typekit site:

1. To change theme colors simply go to Theme Options > Theme Styling and then click Custom Skin Builder. There you can set your own colors. Please note that to save theme colors you need to fulfil php requirements stated here:

4. Centered header option is not included in the theme options, however you can do this with Custom CSS (if you already know a little CSS)
5. In Page Options section add this Custom CSS (as shown in #2 question screenshot)

1. As I mentioned earlier I already changed the theme styling. For some strange reason the theme is not saving the link color. As I mentioned I’m still getting the #00b19e color everywhere.
My php settings are way above the recommended: max_execution_time 300 memory_limit 256M post_max_size 50M upload_max_filesize 50M

I just updated the theme (version 1.5) and plugins. Now I’m able to change the menu theme.
However I have a few doubts remaining, I’d appreciate any assistance solving them, I’m so close to finishing my site!
1. After updating the theme, the map style changed. I don’t think is an issue from my side as the same map used in the theme demo page changed as well.
Is there a way to get the map style back?
2. I starting to hate the theme default color (#00b19e). I’ve not been able to change it. I already changed it in the theme page settings!
The most important thing for me is to change the links hover color and the send button color from the contact form.
3. Is there a way to show just the fullscreen video in a video post? I would like to hide the title, the comments section, everything, just to show the video.
4. I’d like to show a lightbox gallery when a user click an image from a portfolio gallery. Is this possible?

When I add a “portfolio items” module on my page and I build my request, it works fine with portfolio items but not at all with pages.
I’ve installed a plugin to add categories to pages so that they can be filtered by the “portfolio items” module but instead of displaying filtered pages, it shows filtered posts instead…
Furthermore, Category Filter menu doesn’t appear even if I select “Yes” in the VC options.

I think it may not have installed properly

1. the product carosel does not let me choose a category – It just wont. 2. Featured Images will not display for items. They on the individual screen though 3. Categories do not appear in the menu settings

1. To get products from a category make sure you write the category name in the Taxonomy field instead of Category, this is where it filters all kind of products.
2. Which version of the theme are you using? Please make sure you have updated to the latest version of it. If you have the latest version then there must be a problem with our theme we haven’t still located.
3. In the Menus where you are adding them, on the top right corner there is Screen Options, click that and tick the Categories to make them show.

Hello Kalium team.. Looking forward to getting a clean install of your nicely created theme. I’ve set up a localhost but cannot complete a regular install because of an error that has shown up a few times here in the comments. The dreaded… “Are you sure you want to do this?”
Here are my php settings: php vers: 5.5.12 configuration limits: max_execution_time 180.. memory_limit 128M.. post_max_size_ 32M.. upload_max_filesize 64M..
I’ve tried one multisite install and one regular install but get the same error on both. I have readily installed other zipped themes and they install without a hitch. Most of the day at it today but to no avail. Thanks for any help in getting this resolved, Steve

We are sorry about this, we have had lot of tickets during the weekend and we are replying to all of them, but depending on the complexity of tickets, some tickets can only theme developer answer, thus even you have posted it earlier it may happen somebody get an answer faster if he had an easier question.
The error you encounter is related to PHP memory limit, but your php limits are fine. Can you please try to manually upload the theme via FTP, extract kalium.zip and then just drop the files in wp-content/themes/ folder.
I am not sure why this happens, many users who had this issue, it was not problem to install it when they increased the memory limits to suggested values by us.
