Hi there,
On our portfolio page the thumbnail sizes do not seem to be controlled and do not align properly. I have tried entering a thumbnail size in the theme options under portfolio but it does not seem to be registering. Wondering what the best fix for this would be.

Hello again, thank you for last answer to my questions. I’ve noticed that I’m asked to update my PHP to 5.4 and it tells me in System Status to increase memory allocated to PHP to 64MG. I understand this is something my webmaster needs to do for me. However, could this be causing for home page not to display?? We have build our website in subfolder ‘wp’ so it appeared as benjaminceramics.com/wp Recently we moved the files one level up to public folder so it should now display under benjaminceramic.com BUT it comes as 404. All other pages are working fine. I can see index.html and index.php so I can’t figure out why this is happening. Why homepage is missing??? I’m terrified I ruined something (!!!) Tomorrow we have interview and the homepage disappeared !!!! I’m devastated. Please help ,

I have updated theme Kalium but I’m experiencing major issues with my homepage. Below two things that need attention and I’m unable to make the updates () Not sure if this could cause the index page not to display () or I have several issues.
1. LayerSlider WP needs updating: ” “You need to authorize this site in order to get upgrades or support for this plugin. Purchase a license or enter an existing purchase code.”
2. “Your theme (Kalium) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. 1— Please go to Plugins, and delete Layer Slider completely.
Then don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to install / update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.
2— Don’t worry about that, theme will work just fine, we will remove that warning on the next update.

Hey, great work theme is looking amazing. Currently still setting everything up but I was just wondering if there is a way to set up the “full background menu” so that it displayed a page or could be used as an overlay of HTML. (I wanted to put contact details and a few other bits of text inside this fullscreen overlay and not actually have any menu items)

The only way to do that is by editing the * tpls/header-main.php* file, but you must be careful because you may break the layout of the page.

Couple of other quick questions – 1. All the thumbnails / featured images on my homepage (portfolio) are taking the image in it’s FULL state rather than small/medium. This is causing very long load times, is there a fast way to use the smaller version of the file or am I going to have to go back and change them all? 2. I would like to move the header (& thus rest of the site) up by 50-100 pixels so it sits just below the top of the page, how can I do this?

As for the portfolio projects not appearing, they will not show if they don’t have any featured image

I have a portfolio on my home page and its working great, but I need to change the home page to a different page, so I went to settings / Reading and changed the front page to the page I need. Which it does, but now the portfolio page no longer has any images on it. Is there something I need to do to keep all the portfolio items form disappearing?

no, the portfolio was only showing up for you because I have it set as the home page. I just changed it so that its not the home page so you can see what Apennines. You can now see when you click on the portfolio menu item nothing shows up, and all I have done is changed it from being the home page under settings/reading

Hi! My new website is 99% near completion, bit one last question: How can I align everything in the footer left, when opened on mobile? On desktop, it looks good, but on mobile the footer is center aligned, which is weird when everything else isn’t.
On desktop, the social links are aligned right — the copyright and description are aligned left. On mobile I want everything to align left.
Is it possible, and if so: Is it a setting, of do you have a CSS code for that?

Excellent. I’ll keep the code for the footer. The menu I’m referring to is the menu coming from the left side (only on mobile) after pressing the hamburger menu icon. In this menu I’m using a background image, via CSS code. Looking like this:

To do that you must edit your PHP code, and we don’t recommend you that, because on each update, that file will be overwritten.

hey there,
I am still setting up my wordpress page with the kalium theme and I love it! Everything runes smooth! Except one thing. I have an issue with the Revolution Slider. I enabled the parallax feature for the background image, but the feature doesn’t activate when I load the page, it just scrolls normally. It only “activates” ones I switch to another tab and then switch back “bling”, then it works.
Suepr weird. Bug? How can I fix this? Any workarounds?

hey there, thanks for the quick reply. Once I added a static slide, this “bug” no longer appeared. weird. I do have another issue though, that I would ask the revolution slider support directly if I could: when adding a static slide, it doesnt fade out on the frontend like I set it in the editor. no matter what I change. The static items fade in as set, but never fade out and run across all the other slides. Any idea how I can fix this?

If you are using our latest Kalium update (currently 1.6.1), you should have 5.0.8.5 update of Revolution Slider, if not then you need to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.
If those issues are still present then we will wait for an update from the plugin author, hope that they will release a new update soon

unfortunately, it is up to date. well then I have to wait until they fix it with a new verison I guess.
Different question: I want to change the animation when I sort my Portfolio types by cathegory. Now they zoom out and fade and reorganise, which is too much for me + every now and then one Tile just “jumps” in from the side, looks like a bug. Just a fade would be nice. I thought you can edit this, but I cannot find the settings.
