This is the second question #2 I’ve a problem with a portfolio item, when the portfolio gallery is open the image go over the text. This happens only with one item and i can’t fix it.

There’s an issue. The homepage ( http://vahanavagyan.com ) plays nice with custom ordering but the item navigation below the item page leads to the http://vahanavagyan.com/work/ (same as homepage) with the non-custom order. This bug also results in wrong order of the items when using arrows.

Please help.

By disabling lightbox for portfolio items the item image becomes a link to it’s own file. I want the image to have absolutely no href on itself. Any ideas how to do this?

Hi Vahan,

Please download this file and then unzip it.

You fill find there two .js files, copy those files and go to *kalium / assets / js and replace those two files there.

Please hard refresh your browser after you finish this procedure and check if it’s working.

If this fix works for you, we will include this fix on the next update too, so please notify us

Looks like there’s a bug if i place one comparison after another, there is a gray area over the 2nd comparison item which gets fixed only by scrolling the page. Please check below link. Thanks!

p.s. Thanks for the tip. I post as soon as I have a new item, which is why they appear as separate items.

That is not a bug, the second image comparison waits until the full image is on viewport of the browser and then it loads

Sorry about the delay, I wasn’t in the office and other support staff couldn’t help you with this issue so they asked me to assist you.

1. This is a real issue and also reported by others, I have added it to our “Todo” list so it will bee fixed in the next update.

2. To apply custom prefix for portfolio category slugs add this code in functions.php

add_filter( 'portfolioposttype_category_args', 'custom_portfolio_category_slug' );

function custom_portfolio_category_slug( $args ) {
 $args['rewrite']['slug'] = 'your-custom-category-prefix';
 return $args;
}

After this step, you need to flush rewrite rules. Go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save, its done.

3. We would try to remove that in the next, its nice idea!

Hello, I have another issue with portfolio : I want to set an image above text, like blog page sample . The only way is to choose portfolio type 2 (columned) : I put a featured image and checked the box ‘show featured image’

I’m sorry, I have another problem with portfolio

In portfolio type 5 (fullscreen), when you put text with Visual Composer, the default row css style is col-sm-12, so text is cut. I have to put a 2/3 – 1/3 style and fill only the 2/3 box

In portfolio type 2 (columned), same thing if I put text AND checklist in defaut layout

I fixed that temporarily with a 2/3 layout in VC row, but I prefer to tell you so that you can do something for next update I didn’t test the other portfolio types.

• rewrite function which doesn’t work for “portfolio-category”

To fix the first issue, please apply this CSS:

    width: 100%!important;
}

.post-formatting .lab-vc-container {
    width: 100%;
}

The same applies for your second issue in columned portfolio.

For your other issues:

and replace it in tpls folder: /wp-content/themes/kalium/tpls/

As for category slug, we have implemented an option for this in admin panel:

NEW: Custom portfolio category URL prefix (slug) – http://d.pr/1cqc1

So in the next update you will be able to use this option.

Just a little detail for portfolio featured image in next update : if you could hide the animated border below the featured image when “lightbox for portfolio items” is disabled, it could be great

As for HTML rendering in quote text here is the quickfix for you:

Open this file: wp-content/themes/kalium/tpls/portfolio-gallery.php on line 353 replace with this line:

I’ve the same width problem as featured image in portfolio (see above): If I want to put an image before text (instead of featured image for example), I can’t display image in full width. Could you please tell me how to do that (I can’t fix it with css) ?

Suggestion : comparison-image is just in portfolio type 1, 2 or 4. We can’t use it in pages or normal posts : could you make a shortcode ?

4. To setup a custom category slug go to Theme Options > Portfolio Settings, then add your slug as shown in that field:

Don’t forget to flush rewrite rules by going to Settings > Permalinks, and just click Save changes.

1. Yes of course, I’ve placed the custom css in the good file. It worked until last update, I don’t know why. I tried !important tag, tried to put it in child-theme style file, but nothing. I have to put custom CSS in each page, but for general rules it’s a big problem.
2. For portfolio filter, see my 1rst post (step-by-step example), a month ago. Js add #cat after the entire slug, so make issues when you want to filter several times. You answered “This is a real issue and also reported by others, I have added it to our “Todo” list so it will be fixed in the next update.”
3. In portfolio-type-2, I want to put an image in vc row, before project info. I can’t have an image in full-width. The only way is to check “Show featured image”, but I don’t want it, I need another image in full-width. Before you ask, yes, I select a full-width row in VC & and full-width image, tried cover settings row… I don’t see the good class I can use to modify css.
4. For portfolio slug, yes you’ve told me this way for the next update, but I don’t have this box in theme options (I have the last 1.7.2 version / 6 oct 2015)

1. Great! I wasn’t sure what responsive to give you though but very good that you managed to fix it. The best solution to put Custom CSS is to add it in “Custom CSS” page in the menu, there it will be saved in database not in file and always will be loaded.

2. The issue when you navigate to a specific category lets say “Photography” then you want to go in other category is related to our code. Can you please try this fix: Download this file http://drops.laborator.co/1hgQN+ and replace it in kalium/tpls/ folder, see if it works fine for you.

We are going to fix this in our newest update but we haven’t started to fix this particular issue yet, we are doing our photography demo.

3. If you want to slightly modify a CSS for an item in Visual Composer you can assign a css class in Extra Classes field.

We need to investigate and fix this issue in the next update as well.

4. Sorry I didn’t knew this is not added, because it will be available in v2.0 but I can email you the current latest version of Kalium so you can have that option. Just send us an email and I will forward you the latest version of Kalium that we are working now which will include this feature.

Still some problems with other issues :

2- Filter fix seems to work better (no false entry with filter), but when you are in portfolio category (slug : portfolio-category/photography, for eg.), the “ALL” button doesn’t return to all categories and if you choose another category nothing appears (because, in this example, it’s not in ‘photography’ category, of course). It works like a sub-filter : we don’t expect that when we click on, looks weird. So filter is useless in this case.

3- I can’t use any extra class for image in full-width because the portfolio container isn’t in full width, so vc-row is relative… I just want to put another image than featured-image proposed in portfolio-type-2, with same full-width effect. Thanks for investigation poposed.
