I’m short before launching my new website based on your theme…
Now there’s one last thing I’d like to adjust: is it possible to change the ratio of the text column and the image columns within a single portfolio item? I like the clean look very much but want to have the images a bit more to the left. Please see here what I mean: http://www.andibrunner.com/screenshot_portfolio_single.png
Maybe I can adjust that in the editor? But I don’t know which file.

Hello, sorry i have an extremely urgent question. I have spent the last week putting a lot of custom css on the custom css sheet accessed via the Theme Styling page. All of a sudden today, without me doing anything, all the custom styles i have put in were lost and the Custom CSS page became blank!!! All my work in the past week has been lost!
Please let me know how my work can be retrieved, it is very frustrating and worrying that everything is lost for no reason.

I am really sorry to hear that, the Custom CSS is secured very well and does not get erased when you update the theme, we have never had any issue like this before with any of our themes where we included the Custom CSS field.
We want to help you on this issue but there is no way to get back it back again how it was.

That is very disappointing to know because I put a lot of work into it this past week. And I am particularly concerned upon hearing your answer because I wasn’t even working on the custom CSS sheet at the moment it happened, I was just looking through the site and all of a sudden everything was gone. I even tried looking for cache copies but to no avail. Please try and investigate what happened because I cannot have the customary styles in my website undone for no reason every now and then.

Custom CSS can’t loose, we have developed more than 13 themes, and this is the first time we hear this.
I’m sorry to hear that your CSS is blank, but you must realize that this is not our fault. Please change your WP credentials in case someone has changed them for you.
This is all that we can do about this, hope that this will never happen to you again.

Actually Yili, let me ask another question, because now i am trying to restore the file from my host. Does the Custom CSS file stays as one file within the file structure of my website which I can locate, i.e. if i am able to look through all the files behind a copy of my website, would i be able to identify it as one file? If so, is its name just custom_css, or would the codes be distributed to a number of css files that the theme uses?

The issue might be related to wordpress but I believe that somebody may have modified Custom CSS and replaced/removed all that CSS.
Custom CSS you will add in that area, will be saved on WordPress database and that is not saved in a file. To find the custom css, on database table wp_options with this variable name laborator_custom_css.
But if its deleted then you cannot restore it anymore I am so sorry about that

Hi Arlind, I now have an even more complicated question. Like you said, I tried many things and couldn’t recover my custom CSS codes. However, since I have backups at my web host, I managed to restore the database files from yesterday and all the changes I have made via the custom CSS codes have been restored, but not actual codes in the form of a file. So my question now is, do you think this restoration will keep my custom CSS intact (but in a form i cannot see myself)? i.e. is it safe to assume that these changes will not be undone again in the future even in the form of a theme upgrade? Or if it would, is there anyway now to preserve those custom styles now that i have access to older database files. Please let me know.

If you have the old database file, I can restore your custom CSS from that file, you just need to send it to me and I will find the proper css code there (only if the database backup was saved in that time when you had Custom CSS).
You can send us your sql file directly to our email and I will handle other things.

On a portfolio/side page I need to use a shortcode in the gallery to show an .swf (using Kimili Flash Embed – it works fine in the description section). Is there any way of doing this?

hi! I juste started with this theme and i’ve tried everything i could to reduce the spacing between the menu items, but nothing seems to work!! here:

Hello, Your themes are absolutely stunning – Kalium especially. I’ve been working on my website for the past month and everything has gone smoothly until an error popped up which means I haven’t been able to save anything:

Are you using the latest version of the theme? Updating the theme may fix a lot of issues you may have with it.

If not then the easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins
you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure

I logged into your site and checked what may be wrong with that, the problem is with your host – you have to increase your PHP limits and for this you can ask the hosting company.
The minimum requirements for the theme are these PHP limits:
max_execution_time 180 memory_limit 128M post_max_size 32M upload_max_filesize 32M

I asked my provider to do this days ago and the changes were confirmed the same day. If you don’t know what the issue is I’d rather you just say instead of quoting the help information I have already read for myself. I am sure you’re as lothed with this issue as I am but I’ve spent hours trying to get this theme to even save changes. I’m very busy and don’t have time to be faffing around with clunky installs and contacting my host everytime your theme causes an issue.

We know what the issue is, the problem is that your host provide DID NOT change all the PHP limits, and you can see that by going to the plugins and view the phpinfo plugin, the max_execution_time is set to 30.

This is happening because that font doesn’t offer thin font, if you choose another font from Theme Options that supports thin weight it will appear

When theme is filtering categories, it only there is one step of hierarchy. I want to say, only one categorie hierarchy for all categories.
I need use two steps or hierachies, for example: I need to filter between location or type, depending which option I selected, after it will shown me all categories of type, or location…
Can I make it in this theme?? If theme don’t let me this option, Could you make for me?? I need know it and the price of this new function.

The theme supports the categories hierarchy but on the front-end it doesn’t support it, if you want to show sub-sub categories you can’t do it, we are looking forward to add this as a feature in the upcoming updates.

I’ve changed the portfolio style again. If the visible titles are to long … i mean one word is too long than it covers the visible title or the picture of the next one.
And found another little bug: if you open the site on an ipad in portrait modus … scroll down to bottom of the page … the footer appears (works fine until now) If you now change to landscape modus the footer stays always in front of the page. If you scroll up to top it is still visible!

So here we go again, I have a few issues and I Really Really need to finish this by today.

1. It is very weird how this happens, I’ve tried several fixes and none of them worked! I suggest you to re-create the same post and see if it will appear in the list.
2. The blog options can be only set in Theme Options > Blog Settings see the screenshot where: http://drops.laborator.co/ncoF
3. To add social networks in the footer, simply go to Theme Options > Footer, go to Footer Text, on Footer right text add this text:
[lab_social_networks]
This will show footer social icons below.

Hello again! A really quick question – I’ve been trying to set up the blog portion on my site (currently named “News”) and it looks gorgeous, although I’ve run into two problems:
1) The header doesn’t show up; I’ve changed the settings in Appearance > Theme Settings, but the top of my blog section is still without title 2) For the single post layout of the blog the featured image is HUGE at the top of the page which I don’t like… is there anyway to change this?

We have found a fix for this issue
First: Make sure that you are using our latest update 1.6.1.
Second: Please download this file and then unzip it.
You fill find there two .js files, copy those files and go to *kalium / assets / js and replace those two files there.
Please hard refresh your browser after you finish this procedure and check if it’s working.
If this fix works for you, we will include this fix on the next update too, so please notify us

Hi,
There is an error in how you present portfolio items when selecting categories. To observe, go to my site http://www.jallov.com/, choose category ‘Game’ (five items appear), press F5, now only the first two items appear. Same thing happens if you click on a portfolio item and then press back button (it goes from showing five items to showing two).
This is not good, since prospective clients won’t see my entire portfolio when pressing back after viewing the first item.

I’m sorry, but your link only opens a page with a filename, no video is playing (using Chrome, Firefox and IE).
I have recorded two videos that show the problem, one using Chrome on Windows and the other on my Android phone (LG G3).
Notice how on Windows the three last items disappear until I start scrolling, but the last item still doesn’t show it’s featured image even after scrolling and hovering.
On Android the featured image does not appear for any of the last three items after I have used the back button to navigate back from an item view.

It appears to work with the default Portfolio page (at /portfolio/). How can I set this page to be the front page?
You can do this by going to Settings > Reading and tick the A static page (select below), from the dropdown menu select the Front page
