We’ve used X theme in the past and while there are things we love about it we were very disappointed to find out the last time we used it that X theme was overriding many of Visual Composers features.
We understand now that going forward you will no longer be supporting VC within X theme and if we choose to use VC you suggest to use an independently purchased version of VC.
This is not a problem for us as we would like to use the best of X theme and VC as well.
The question we have is, if we do purchase VC plugin, will X theme still override or deactivate VC features or will we be able to utilize the full VC plugin?

I think you may be confused on a couple points, and I’d be happy to clarify.
We don’t override anything in VC unless you opt to use our tailored version optimized with our Shortcodes. Customers have the option to use the plain, vanilla version of VC or our tailored version. This is controlled in the Integrations tab of your VC settings while using X. Further, VC is continuing to be supported within X – there is no change on that front.
Feel free to post in the forum if you ever need clarification on matters like this, and a member of our team will be happy to straighten out any potential misunderstandings.

Thanks for writing in! X is fully RTL compatible for your WordPress installation if you need it that way. We have developed things RTL support to be as extensive as we can observe, but if you happen to notice anything that seems out of place we could certainly look into it to see if we can make any adjustments (we do not currently have any outstanding RTL suggestions or reports from users).

WP Bakery releases a security update of Visual Composer. The latest version 4.7.4, completely broke the layout of my site. They told me to ask the template developer and says that maybe there is a conflict with the theme.
Do you know anything about this issue?
I’ve updated the plugin on different sites, and the layout it’s gone and the pages don’t show correctly (like there is no content). Can you please help me?

We updated VC to the latest version about a week ago in X as noted in our Changelog. We have not had any other reports of issues on update, and make sure you are updating through updating X as you will be prompted to update VC then. 1. Using the extended demo option am I able to showcase all of the design / websites that i have created to my clients like, if they go to mywebsite.com/showcase can they see the 10 demo sites that ive created?

Our Expanded Demos can be recreated in one click (images, sliders, menus, and all). You are then welcome to edit/customize them further in Cornerstone, our page builder, as needed.

Hello, i had seen this tutorial before but it’s more like a teaser video. Can you please tell me following?
I want to make my site similar to http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/ I am not sure how to put in content in the area above navigation as you have (location map and about us) . it shows up as blank div when you click on + button.
Plus on the pages where we can do slider settings I can only see deactivate option (slider setting above master head) and (slider setting below master head).
Can you please clarify how all these can be activated?
i have following plugins installed in addition to X theme
- Force Regenerate Thumbnails - X ShortCodes - Contact Form 7 - Slider Revolution - Visual Composer
The first step would be to create a new slider in Slider Revolution. Once you’ve done that you will see all the sliders you’ve created on the single page meta fields in the dropdown where you currently only see “Deactivated” you then can select the slider and display it above the header. If you want to embed a video then creating a transparent slide and then assigning the video in the single page options will be the way to go.

Whatever I try, even with different pc’s, different servers, several downloads ( verifying MD5) even localhost – always same issue…

Are you sure you’re installing just the WordPress files and not the all files download? You can certainly create many different types of news sites with X as our Ethos Stack is devoted to that type of site specifically. Furthermore, you will see dozens of news oriented sites on our Showcase. You can easily set your blog to a masonry (2 or 3 columns) or standard layout. With regards to your question, that is something Envato handles, and you will need to follow up with them.

Could you please give me an update. I’ve tried to email to ask what I need to do to get the template working the way it is supposed to, but there has been no reply. The theme is blank, but it seems to be somewhat uploaded. So I went to the page where it asks me to register the theme license, and API key… so I did all that, but still there is nothing.
I then went back to Envato and talked to the original professional guy who I paid $50 to install the theme (he was unable to, because Themeco said they were aware of a problem that needed to be fixed in their next update). He just looked at the site, and here is what he had to say:
“they didn’t installed nothing, I just checked. I am really surprised about this. Theme was already installed (I did it), they only needed to manually install demo files since their automatic procedure failed (and they aknowledged this issue). But they did not: as you can see, no sample pages were created, no sample posts. And that error..well it’s awkward, since memory limit in your server it’s ok (I double checked). They clearly have some issues in the latest releases of their theme. I am sorry, but the only thing here to do is to get back to them and tell them clearly that you’re not satisfied and that demo content hasn’t been installed yet.” Can you please assign the proper person to get the install completed? And please give me an update.

Hello, My client is using this theme, but when I try to use the recent post section in a page, it only allows me to show 4 posts per time and also its not allowing me to and pignation for the rest of the posts. Is there any workaround on this? I tried to use the Visual Composer but the layout is not the same.

The terms of the license for products sold at ThemeForest is for a single use, so if you wanted to use X on say 3 sites, you would simply purchase 3 regular licenses.
With regards to use on a travel blog, we have many customers using X for a site like that. You can see some examples of customer built sites using X over at our Showcase. Regretfully, they are not organized by type of site like “travel” but you are welcome to browse through to see just a sample of what you can do with X.

I purchased this theme for a domain, activated it, and setup the API key. My client then decided to change their domain name. I have migrated over to the new domain, but how can I get a new purchase key to reactive the theme on the new domain name?
