Well, I am now in a pickle… I purchased this theme from a developer who created the site using subway.

I love the site design but experienced a severe problem I hope someone can help with. You included Visual Composer (VC) as a component of the web site. VC version at the time was 4.1.2. I was making some updates over the weekend and VC started slowing the site down dramatically. I tried to upgrade using Wordpress normal plugin upgrades, and while the plugin notification showed that an update was available, i had to go to CodeCanyon to get it. Not knowing I had to go back to the theme author on this, I purchased a new license, and downloaded the updated version 4.8.1. I had to use the instructions VC’s support team stated in deactivating the old plug in, then deleting, then uploading the new plug in and activating. However, do that came up with the screens in the attachment- all of my formatting is gone, and when I go to the editor, I have “start” screen. When I go to classic mode, I can see the code in the software. However, several pages are not formatted correctly, and I cannot see the blocks in the software like I did before, so it is very difficult to modify pages like Home page, and any of the Web Bundles. I also had a new page I was working on that was well done, the Marketing page, but the formatting is all messed up there too.

I ran this by VC’s support team, and they replied:

“The issue with the columns is because the theme author is using: https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/display/VC/Change+CSS+Class+Names+in+Output to change our default column names. When the update is made, these classes cannot find the related css and hence fail to render. You can get in touch with the theme author and get rid of the above code to get it back.

The other issue is because there is an inbuilt version of Visual Composer (or the related code) present in your theme which is overriding the standalone plugin version and hence causing the issue. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.”

I am stuck. Can anyone help?

Unfortunately, only way is to submit a ticket using your purchase code.

I purchased this from a developer who used his developer rights. So whats the option?

You need to solve this with your developer. Support requires valid purchase code provided directly from Envato when purchasing the theme. If your developer purchased it, he can give you purchase code.

Does this theme not support uploading a background image for all pages? I went into the Global options and have tried several different ways to get the image to show after I upload one in the “Background Image” field and nothing is working. Tried different sizes of images, changing the size within the media library size selection options, clicking “insert into post” and also just saving it without clicking “insert into post” and none of these options are working. Thank you.

The mobile display (on iPhone 5 and previous) of the woocommerce checkout page is inoperable the way it designed. By placing a margin on the left side visitor cannot see the total price or enter a coupon code. I need some direction on how to fix this as soon as possible as my clients could be losing sales. I love the theme and own three licenses but need direction asap.

Why does Visual Composer not seem to show up as an option in my Woocommerce Products pages when creating new products?

Hi, our support area found the error, it seems the menu is not imported correctly, is corrected by removing the demo menu, and placing another main menu

Hi, I have been trying to upload the theme and the Demo on my website But it is not working, i have been trying to reach to the support team for a while now but there is no response at all. Can any one please help me whith this situation of the website.

the plugins itself using lot of memory and it is not allowing to uploade the demo file ‘subway.wordpress.2013-11-26.xml’

I noticed there have been many requests in the last 30 days asking about updates for this theme and no updates have been made. I purchased this theme under your advertisement of the product that it included a working version of Visual Composer and it is not fully operational as it states that it needs updated but I would have to pay for the full version of Visual Composer, which you say doesn’t work with your theme. Selling products under false pretenses is not ok. I need to create my site right away and not having this option with this theme that I purchased is hindering the process. How long are your customers going to have to wait for this update to come through and why can’t you provide a solid answer as to how quickly (an exact date) that it will be available? You’ve created a really nice product, but you need to make your updates a priority. We all would like an answer as to when the updates will be available. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Question: Will the plugins that this theme is dependent on (LayerSlider and Visual Composer) include the upgrades for those plugins? The current version (as of 9/29/15) of the theme includes LayerSlider v.5.4.0 and WPBakery Visual Composer 4.5.3.

LayerSlider is currently up to version 5.6.2 and WPBakery Visual Composer is up to version 4.7.3.

Will this theme provide the newest versions of these plugins or will we need to purchase these separately if we want to keep up with the newest versions?

As it stands, I’m being told to enter a license key for LayerSlider to receive updates. And to download the newest version of WPBakery Visual Composer from CodeCanyon. But I can’t do either of these things since they were included with the theme.

Also, for what it’s worth, there are a few WooCommerce templates that are out of date in the theme. I updated them in my theme but hopefully you guys will too so it won’t be overwritten in the next update. (I noticed two: subway/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php and subway/woocommerce/content-product.php.)

Hello, considering purchasing this theme and have a couple of questions. Are there options to add additional filter options in a sidebar? Also, option to select a custom theme color not shown in your demo and theme-wide customization (custom css/html) capable? Thanks!

Theme does have custom CSS and JS fields. Regarding sidebar, it’s widget area where you can use widgets, standard ones from basic WP installation or some third party.

LayerSlider and Visual Composer will not install. I have tried both installing through the dashboard – then i get a message “Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.”

I have also tried uploading via FTP. This has not worked either.

Finally, I have lodged a private ticket three days on Ticksy but have not had a reply (I know it was the weekend but I was hoping for something by now!). Could I please get a reply to this issue? Cheers!

Yes, demo content is available within XML file, which is regular WP import process. This way you can have whole demo copied on your instance. Here is snapshot from our documentation provided with the theme:

Open WP Admin Panel
Click on Tools > Import from left menu
Click on WordPress item in the list of importers
If the plug-in is not installed, click on Install Now button
Select XML file provided with our theme and upload it. It will take couple of minutes to install our theme (If your server is not able to upload the demo files with attachments, you should import it without attachments)
Click on Appearance > Menus from left menu
Chose “Main menu” in Top Navigation combo box

1) Yes of course, we’re only shipping our theme bundled with this plugin, usage is as any other plugin, you can disable or delete it if you wish. Or, you don’t have to install it in the first place.

2) Yes, upgrade is on its way, hopefully it will be available publicly for download.
