Have been attempting to install and register this theme using the registration code that generates and comes in my ThemeForest / Envato account, but it shows as an invalid code. When I try to get support for that, it makes me use the code that isn’t working. When I e-mail Envato or the X Theme developers, I’ve been stuck in an automated loop of cut and paste replies for the last two weeks. Should I give up and just use a different theme?
Hi There,
We don’t have record of any contact directly with us. Have you used our contact form? If not, please contact us there with your email, username, and purchase code, and we can take a look.
Cheers!
Thanks for replying. I’ll shoot over a request through there. As a heads up, Envato may be where the communication error is happening as I originated the support ticket through there. First week was a series of “we’re experiencing high volume” emails, followed by cut and paste response and then eventually (a week ago) “we’re forwarding your request to the developer.” It would have saved the whole loop if they can just reply with a link to your contact form on questions about the X theme.
You bet!
In the future, it is always best to contact the author directly. There is a support tab on our listing that includes steps for addressing frequently asked questions including our direct contact info should you need to get in touch with us.
Cheers!
Hello. The demo content is made by your builder or visual composer ? Is visual composer frontend enabled ? no conflicts ? shortcodes deleted ? Thanks
Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! The demo content provided for our Standard and Expanded demos are built in Cornerstone, our custom builder that comes with X. The Visual Composer integration with X receives bug fixes and maintenance but no new features (shortcodes, templates, et cetera), so we strongly recommend users to either use Cornerstone, or utilize Visual Composer in it’s “native” form without any custom X integration.
Hopefully this helps, thanks!
Just purchased a couple of visual composer addons for a new theme I purchased, only to find out they disabled the frontend editor of VC, which takes away most of it’s usefulness to me.
Now I’m looking at other themes and for some reason everyone customizes VC. I spent about $50 on these addons and would like to be able to use them. Is there a reason the choice was made to not allow VC extensions in your theme? From reading comments Cornerstone doesn’t currently have nearly as many options as these other VC addons would provide. Would be great to be able to use them.
Is there anyway at all to do this, or any reason why this feature can’t be included in your theme? Specifically, I’d like to use Ultimate Addons and also the VC Extensions for VC.
Is there anyway to use these or did I just waste my money on them.
Hi There,
It doesn’t look like you have purchased the theme as there is no “Purchased” tag next to your username, so if you are simply curious how the process works within X, customers have two choices when using VC. 1) Use our customized version of VC that works with our Shortcodes. 2) Use the native, vanilla version of VC. You set this in the X Integration tab when VC is active within X. If you chose option 2, you are using the native version of the plugin which means you technically could integrate the addons, however we do not provide support for them as they are effectively extensions (addons) to something that is already an extension (VC).
If you have any other questions on features in X be sure to let us know.
Cheers!
Is there a way to use you customized version of VC and still add the VC extensions (but not have them supported of course)?
Also, I’m looking to do a newspaper type site. I looked at Ethos, but I’m not really seeing a lot of the typical newspaper style blocks there. Can you theme do something similar to something like reviews.com?
VC extensions are not supported in our customized version of the tool as they are made to work with the native version of the plugin.
The best way to see what is possible out of the box in Ethos would be to check out the various demos and Ethos features.
Cheers!
Hi I would like to know if this theme has the episode transcript like that featured in this episode transcript. Were the transcript is embedded in a scroll through block e.g http://thelifecoachschool.com/video-diversifying-your-joy/ Thank you….a pre sale question.
Hi There,
That is not a theme feature and would instead be a manual process or use of a 3rd party service to have audio transcribed into text.
Cheers!
I can NOT login to your site, it says I am already registered but I did not received an e-mail confirming this nor have I successfully received a “lost password e-mail”
Hi There,
Feel free to contact us directly with your name, email, username, and transaction ID, and we can take a look.
Cheers!
Presale question:
What i realy miss in Wordpress is the abillity to create a repeating html block. For instance, a page with card like design for co-workers. 1 picture, with on the side name, function and email. In a XS view i want this block to show the text underneath the picture. As the front-ender i am, i mock up a html page in WP with a bunch of repeating blocks of bootstrap classes. When the result is not satisfy-ing, i have to go thru all the blocks, adjusting the bootstrap classes.
Is here an easy way to do this with X Theme and Cornerstone?
Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! If I’m understanding your situation correctly, it sounds like you are wanting to have patterns of elements on certain pages with similar design setups (like your employee example). You can certainly do this with Cornerstone by dragging in the elements you want and visually adjusting everything until it suits your liking. Once you’re happy with it, you can duplicate that element and move it to your different columns, then simply swap out the content as desired. If your main frustration is that you’re having to adjust all of this content and styling individually if you want to make adjustments, this is something you can’t get around unless you’re doing this all programmatically (i.e. setting up some sort of custom post type, entering in the information, then looping through it to output your design).
Hopefully this helps, and don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything further!
Thanks for your reply
You’re welcome!
Hello,
I’m looking to purchase this theme as I live the site you have created when you first preview. However this is not one of the template options. Is there dummy data for so I can set up my site to be similar to this.
Hey there,
As this is our Themeco homepage, there are some customizations in effect and we don’t have the full demo data available. However, in or Cornerstone page builder you can add a page template called “Sales Page” under the Themeco templates section. This will add all the elements to your page to create a layout and sections quite similar to our home page. Then you can choose a stack and combination of settings to make the design unique for your site.
Hi, I plan to use woo-commerce with X. Is it possible with X to customize the admin area for my client so that it doesn’t look like wordpress? I only want them to be able to add/edit/delete products, offers and see the orders-statistics only in a custom dashboard.
Hey There,
This is something that no theme or any plugin we are aware of can provide. Customizing the admin area is something very sensitive and will break each time you update your WordPress core version so it’s not recommended. WooCommerce has an own “my account” page that sits on the front end of the site so your customers do not need to access the admin area or backend at all.
Thanks, I think I have not been able explain myself correctly. I do not want my client who’ll be the shop owner / manager to know that they are using wordpress and woocommerce. I simply want to rebrand the dashboard with custom design. There are rebranding plugin like “white label branding for wordpress” available in codecanyon, will those work with X and woo?
Hi There,
The closest thing out of the box in X would be using our White Label Extension. Anything beyond that would require customizations on your end. We haven’t tested that particular plugin, but you can see our policy for 3rd party plugins here.
Cheers!
are there any issues with using X along with the fqsm pro plugin??
Hi There,
We haven’t tested that particular plugin, however you can find our 3rd party plugin policy here.
Cheers!
Thanks! I’ve been using X for 3months now and love it
Thrilled to hear that, my friend!
Hi, I want to make use of common Bootstrap css classes (for forms eg). As you mentioned before your theme is not build on bootstrap but has it’s own framework. So can I just load my own bootstrap css file or will that disturb your css?
Thanks, Florian
Hi Florian,
Thanks for reaching out. For the most part our classes utilize an “x-” prefix to avoid styling conflicts with plugins and customizations. We can’t promise that there won’t be any conflicts bringing in your own bootstrap styling, as their base element styling could override things done in X. You may need to modify your other stylesheets to target specific classes.
Hi There,
If you have registered at our community site, this sticky thread in our forum explains how to post a question if you need assistance from one of our developers.
Let us know if you have any issues registering.

Does this theme have a visual composer-style/drag & drop page builder, or is it totally shortcode based? We need a theme that isn’t difficult for our “tech-impaired” client to edit their page content easily.
Hi there,
Yes! We have Cornerstone, a fully visual page building experience. It’s front-end only, so you have a live preview as you build, and you don’t ever need to work with shortcodes directly.
hello, when do you planning to release update of your theme? and what do you planning to add in new update, we thinking about purchase this awesome theme, but resent update was 6 october
Pre-Sale question
Hi,
Is it possible to have a (Add to Inquiry) feature in your theme for products and then checkout later as per the link below in a website that i have seen for a non ecommerce site.
Link: http://www.furniturewalla.com/products/sofas.html
This is most useful to get customers engaged and get enquiries if they are interested in products we are showcasing to them.
Hey There,
This should not be a problem at all with the use of some 3rd party plugins or minor modifications. We support Gravity Forms and Contact Form 7 which might be of help, out of the box X has no “Inquiry” feature.
Thanks for the details. This is great new. Now i’m finally on the verge of purchasing your theme. A few more queries if you dont mind.
Are the below features possible in X theme.
1) A floating “Contact Us” icon: http://themeforest.net/item/jupiter-multipurpose-responsive-theme/full_screen_preview/5177775. You can see this in the bottom corner of the their demo site.
2) I’m looking to create a website something like www.pepperfry.com without the ecommerce part of it and more of galleries and a product showcase. Is it possible with X theme where product are initially shown in gallery grid style format and when clicked on expand into individual product pages.
If not possible or not a feature in X theme are there any third party plugins that will do the job.
Hi again,
X doesn’t have a floating contact button natively, but it could be possible with a 3rd party plugin. As for grid styling, X has a masonry layout for blogs and portfolios, but it sounds like what you’re looking for is a bit more advanced. With every purchase of X, we include a free copy of Essential Grid which can provide that functionality for you.
