Hey there.
i did some changes in the custom code referring to the horizontal gallery image slider. I wanted it to have a fixed size. Therefore you gave me some code for the Custom CSS and it worked out well for the portfolio gallery slider. The Problem is that the code at the same time affects the thumbnails in the portfolio grid and the size of the responsive gallery slider as well.
I put the code that’s is responsible for the changes on top of my custom css so you can find it easily.

Hello, I just bought your theme Kalium with purchase code 914d96d8-9836-45e2-a27d-e386ee45d293.
I have a question about one of the widgets I can’t make work properly.
Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish:
I need to show the other portfolio items of the same portfolio category, at the bottom of the single portfolio item page in a masonry grid.
To do this I first enabled the Visual Builder to work with “portfolio-item” post type, and it works.
To add the masonry grid to the bottom of the portfolio item page, i’m using the Post Masonry Grid widget in the Visual Builder. And here’s where the problem is: in the widget options panel by going in the “general” tab, in the “data source” select input there are all the post types BUT the portfolio post type. I have post, page, attachment, acf, custom query, list of IDs, but there’s no “Portfolio” post type.
Is it by design,by mistake or am i doing something wrong? If is it by design may i know the reason? If I am doing something wrong could you please help me enable the “Portfolio” post type to work with this Post Masonry Grid Widget?

Unfortunately the feature you’re looking for is not available right now, I will talk with the team and see if we will implement this in the upcoming updates because it sounds like a good idea displaying the related items below the current portfolio post.
You cannot use Visual Composer in portfolio items, blog posts and other post types because it is destined to work only on pages.

Hello I am very disappointed by this answer. The person who answered this doesn’t seem to have a good grasp on the theme he’s providing support for: the Visual Composer WORKS FINE in portfolio items, there’s an option to enable it for portfolio items or blog posts, I enabled it and it works very well. I don’t understand how is it possible that the theme support couldn’t possibly know something like this. My question was totally different tho and it was about a specific widget in the visual composer: i wasn’t asking if the feature exists, i was asking help on HOW TO ENABLE IT myself, on how and where to insert the code to make the Post Masonry Grid works with portfolio items, because i really think it is possible, the portfolio item is just another custom post type, only thing to do is to enable the widget to work with that specific post type

Please try to be calm, I know the theme very well as we are a team of three developers and designers so we do it all, the support the design and coding.
I am telling you that the portfolio single item with Visual Composer doesn’t work, but if you want to continue and use it then go ahead use it. In the upcoming version 1.8 which we are working on we have enabled this feature and you can use a Visual Composer portfolio item, until now it was not supported because of many bugs and problems it would cause in the theme so when I’m telling you it won’t work I know why it won’t work and not because I don’t have a clue about the theme.

Thank you for your reply. I’m not sure if we are on the same page here. I assure you the Visual Builder works PERFECTLY with the portfolio item. I’m using it quite a lot. No bugs to report at all in noone of the portfolio pages i created. In fact, in the Visual Builder options, you can enable it to work with the portfolio item. I wonder why giving the user the chance to enable it if you don’t want it to work. I apologize if i may have used the wrong words but I’m not sure to be provided with the right support for the item i bought since you are asserting that something in your theme you claim doesn’t even exist, not only exist but works perfectly.

By the way, what i was trying to accomplish (masonry grid with same category portfolio items at the bottom of the portfolio item page) is perfectly allowed and it works great. I was just using the wrong widget: instead of the post masonry grid widget i just used the portfolio items widget in the visual editor of the portfolio item. worked like a charm. both the widget and the visual builder for portfolio item.

The reason why we did not recommend it was because some of the user experienced difficulties and some of the theme options stopped working, when we tried it worked but in general we had to come with an announcement until we finally fully support the VC in portfolio items.
I am glad it’s working great for you, I hope you’re having a great time modifying and customizing the theme, we hope to push the new update by the end of this week (Friday) if not then the update will be published next week.

1. I guess this CSS will do what you want, it will only replace link hover color on single project text. Change that #fff to your preferred color and add this css to Custom CSS page (you will see it on admin menu):
.single-portfolio-holder a:hover {
color: #fff;
}

background-color: #fff;
}
2. Yes you can make the hover transparency on blog posts by selecting this option in Theme Options > Blog Settings, see screenshot:

1. I have tried your CSS and the green effect still appears when I hover over the portfolio’s titles on the homepage. I wish to have zero hover effect on the portfolio’s titles.

1. I have created a portfolio item, and now I’d like to remove the “previous project” and “next project” from the bottom of the page. How can I do that?
2. I’d also like to remove the list of services that appears at the bottom of the portfolio.
3. How do I customize the height of the photos that appear on top of each post? Currently, whenever I load a picture the size of the image is bigger than the screen, and I would like some of the text to be visible as soon as the page is loaded.

Updated to Kalium 1.8 via FTP to themes folder but the evade toolkit still shows 1.7.2 with no option to automatically update. I also have Crush from envalto which does show auto update function so guessing there is a corrupted file somewhere that needs cleared or reset. If you can advise.
Also Layerslider shows an update alert to buy licences even though most recent version updated.
How can we download new visual composer?

I am using the Arch theme. In Visual Composer, which template do I use to be the same as the “Londoner – Interior Design”. None of the templates I have tried work like the Londoner one. All of them start down the page below the logo. I want a full screen behind my logo and Menu. thank you

Hi guys! Thanks for the help so far. Loving the theme and I didn’t have any real problems up untill now…. I uploaded 14 portfolio items to the website. And a couple of hours ago I could see them all when I went to the portfolio page on the website. When I go to the same page right now it displays only a couple of them or even none of them. I tried switching the theme to another one and then they are visible on the portfolio page on the site (a bit weird and different though but they are visible). I have no clue whats going on here. Hi, a question to the liking feature in portfolios: I have liked all of my portfolios but occasionally all portfolio items are unliked again. I liked them i guess 1 to 15 times already, but again and again, they are all occasionally unliked. What is the reason, is this happening just on my computer where I am logged in sometimes, or an all Computers? because then the liking feauture doesn’t make any sense. Where do I have access to the amount of likings? what does it sometimes unlike?

Hi konse
The “liking” feature works with IP’s, so once user IP is changed, it starts counting new likes for that user/computer again, the number of likes is not decreased its just counted based on distinct IP’s that have liked that post.
This was implemented for the reason that Kalium theme is mainly related to public users, chances are mostly you won’t provide login for your visitors, so the general counting is based on IP’s.

Hi! thanks for a great theme! i am using it as a onepager though (revolution slider) and i managed to delete the top menu (in order to use the revolution slider menu) but i cant seem to delete it on the mobile version… the two menu’s now overlap. can you guys provide the css for doing this? much appreciated!

Glad to hear that. Yes we will add the feature to “autoplay” videos and enable looping of the videos for each of them individually.

Sorry for not beeing clear. Try it again, these are my questions: 1. My idea is to start my page (mansonary style), as a mix of featured portfolio items plus images that link to pages like about, contact, etc.
2. I use the portfolio feature to show different textes. Is it possible to change the settings for the featured image, so that the title is directly visible? (Whitout hover effect.)
3. And if (2) is possible, may I mix it as well? Images that have a hover (like the default settings) and my individuell settings?

1. I am afraid this is not possible, mixing the portfolio items with other images is not possible, only if you add only static images and link them manually.
2. There is an option to show the title below the image, or we can somehow manually achieve that with Custom CSS, we need your site URL for this first.
3. Which are the individuell settings you want to mix?
And regarding the very first question, - To add custom URL for the featured image click edit Portfolio Item and then in Project Link set your custom link and choose Redirect to Link option as shown here:

… at the moment I work local as well as on my ftp account. But got an error on switching off the maintenance mood. (shurely its a php problem of my server, I cant solve it right now).
