Just update to the last version and found that custom css is not working on homepage (I mean the custom css tab inside the page). It works on other pages (please check the green borders) but not in homepage.

If you have followed the instructions Ylli wrote you then you have the elements in the homepage, now you just need to add the portfolio items because there is no portfolio to show. You can now add the portfolio items by going in the Admin > Portfolio > Add New and then set a title, description and an image then go to the homepage and you will see they have appeared.

Hello, I had added this code to all my portfolio pages,
.image-slide.nivo.slick-slide { pointer-events: none; cursor: default; }
becouse I didn’t want the nivo slider to open big. And now I’ve updated the theme it does not work anymore. I’ve tried to modify the new options in the portfolio section at theme options but I can’t manage it.
Please, I need to stop nivo slider zooming when I click over the images.

You are using an old version of our theme (1.8) and the latest version for the moment is (1.8.1), please update theme first.
The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins
you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure
Then don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.
Your problem will be solved

I’ve done it but the nivo slider keeps zooming…

I need some help with this thing on the nivo lightbox, that keeps opening all the time. I had disabled the nivo lightbox with a code you gave me, and since I’ve actualized to the new version of the theme it doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried also through new theme options.
Also I have had to reconfigure ALL PAGES that I had created through visual composer because all spaces and gaps in between columns, rows and images where all changed, Is this normal? is that means everytime I actualize I will have to remake the pages? What has happened with the spaces?

I bought Kalium and have uploaded it and demo content without difficulty. It seems to work okay. However, my host ‘Hostgator’ will not permit me to to increase max_execution_time above 30. My other php settings meet the Kalium specification.
I don’t want to invest many days making a beautiful Kalium site which is doomed to problems. As the initial installation seems to have worked do you think I will be okay or should I request a refund?
I’d really like to use the theme is I can but I can’t change my host.

If you have imported demo content successfully, then you don’t need that max_execution_time to change.
It will work as normal theme and you will not have any issues.
The execution time variable is required just when you try to import the demo content files, which usually fails when this value is lower, but in your case seems just fine.

You can do that by un-ticking the Support for post formats in Laborator > Theme Options > Blog Settings, but then all of the post formats like audio, video and carousels will only display their featured image.

First off, I’m building a site for a client of mine with the Kalium theme — I’m loving it so far! Very cool that you included the ability to write in SASS.
But while working on the site, I ran into something that I need your help on. I’m using the full-screen menu and utilizing the social network icons in the footer. However, I’ve removed the icon visuals and am just displaying the text from each social ink. This is working fine, but each social network name is followed by a period.
example: instagram. flickr. facebook.
What steps do I need to take in order to remove these periods? The site’s is being hosted locally on my computer for now, so I sadly can’t send you FTP information or login credentials.

The custom css is not working in the new update 1.8.1 Im trying to get rid of the gap at the bottom of each page using this code:

We have added a new option now, for the users who don’t want the bottom space.
Just go to that page where you want to remove bottom margins, and then follow this procedure below:
So to the section “No Bottom Margin” just click Yes and that row will not have bottom margins

we are construction and architecture firm. we use your theme as our portfolio site. we want to use your carousel type portfolio but we have a question right there. with your carousel design photos is fixed along the width of page(so all the photos have the same width in carousel preview) but as you may predict we have lots of vertical(portrait) photos and renders. so we want to fix the carousel along with the height(all images will have same height) is it possible to do this?

i tried it to dig it out. first i set variableWidth=true in slider java(slick.min.js) as the devoloper suggested for portrait mode. but i couldn’t find where you call slick.min.js and i think there is a call-variable that sets the some height and width properties.
these s are the which i couldn’t find
again slick.js creates the divs. so maybe the slick slider devoloper has the answer for us
but still i couldnt find which code calls slick.js

If you want access slick slider files you have them in this location on your theme:
wp-content/themes/kalium/assets/js/slick/slick.min.js
There is also source code (unminified without .min extension).

I’m having problems with the Autotype function; the line breaks as the text is being typed.
- Is there any way I could make more conditional changes to the font size? - Could the typeface be replaced at a given window width?
My problem occurs on my home page new.stiann.no when the window is narrow. A solution would be for the font to be replaced by the Autotype seen on new.stiann.n/contact-4

(I went for another solution: I made that standard Autotype element invisible for XS screens and added another Autotype element set in h3, but this one only visible for XS screens)
I’m going to excuse this stupid question in advance: can i set a fixed height to the Autotype element, so that the text can be long but line breaks won’t shift the whole rest of the page down?

Now I have noticed this, so here is the quickfix for you:
