@all that get white screens of death all of a sudden: In almost the majority of cases getting a white screen on upgrading to a new wp version or a new plugin, is a plugin that is causing the issues. Either: 1: Deactivate all plugins or 2. go FTP to wp-content==>plugins and rename plugins folder temporarily to plugins.test. One by one activate a plugin until the white screen is produced. You will now know the culprit. Takes patience but usually works.

I’m quite happy happy with the Bridge theme, especially its design, yet there are two problems that I really can’t seem to solve.

The first and main one is that the top menu won’t appear, I’m quite sure I checked every parameter regarding the menu. Whether I do it from the “customize” option (front end) where it appears when the box “top menu” is checked ( http://roots-brussels.be/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/screen.png ), then when I save & publish, or by modifying and saving it from appearance/menu/manage locations ( http://roots-brussels.be/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/screen2.png ), it seems fine at first, but once I go on the website as a random user would, it doesn’t appear at all, just as if nothing had been done, even when I go back to the same menu panel/or customize option, the options are left unchanged (default).

I already tried formatting everything and reinstalling the whole theme from scratch, but it hasn’t changed a thing.

The second problem, is minor but bothers me a bit. The carousel I used to display the clients is working but the images aren’t displayed correctly, they are a bit blurry as if the logos were icon-sized images (they are in fact 500px wide), would you know where it comes from ? I found the comment of someone else when you answer that in the carousel, the images are cropped down to 400×260 pixels, but I think this is way more than a 400px wide image quality display

For whatever reason, the administrative theme options do not update the theme CSS – e.g. make top footer #123123 via the color picker – still remains black. Directory permission issue?
