Attempted to upgrade to latest 7.0 version, but as soon as I ftp the new salient folder, the site no longer seems to work. All I see is a spinner. Reverting back gets it to work again. I also loaded the new child theme files which seem to work on both old (6.1.72) and new.
Am I doing something wrong? This worked yesterday when I updated from 6.1.5 to 6.1.72. Thought it’d be nice to be on the latest.
Hey – could you please check your browser console for any errors being reported and let me know? Also have you tried clearing your cache after updating?

After clearing cache, the javascript console gives me this error: “Missing data-ct-checkout. Please confirm that the checkout.js script is located before the closing body tag — checkout-1-2-1.js:1”
This seems to come from edits I made to add Tilt/Open code. Changing the name of the header.php file to header_tilt.php in the child theme (disabling my modified header file) allows the site to load properly. Though the javascript error above remains.
I’ll need to look into the changes I made in header and elsewhere to correct it. Not a big deal right now as I don’t use those changes anymore.

I have installed the new Theme upgrade and I see a GIANT WHITE SALIENT LOGO on the back end that takes up half the screen! #adminmenu div.wp-menu-image img yours is 800×809 px while it should be around 16×25px. Please fix that because its super annoying. Also the front page is broken in the boxed layout the background is not full width. background-size: 100%; should be on the body.. Some pages shows it right some doesn’t im not sure why..

Hi I purchased an additional theme (Jupiter) yesterday. The lack of allowing a row full screen height as offered by visual composer was one of main things to add jupiter to my downloads. I am hopeful that salient can offer this as well.
and also the lack of a mega drop down (or wider – horizontal menu)

Hello I have another question. (I did all the up date for wordpress and the theme). I’m looking for to use a Taxonomy (ans using the attributes for that) for my portfolio in oder to have a option for people to make a selection but what they want to see. I’m not sure about what I read in internet. Do I need to download a child theme? or to integrate a data code? Thank you for your help!

I’m not able to set the hover bg for each column, how can I do that?
Also, there are certain elements in the premade files that can’t be added via visual composer, how can we do that?

Quick question! Is there another step after you import the demo data using the demo importer? I’ve imported it and tried re-importing it and I don’t see any changes or anything uploaded? I tried manually putting in the xml file but I can’t get that to work either. Please advise
Hey – the XML files are located inside of the theme now if you wish to import them manually. The location is listed in the read before updating text file in the root of the download from TF

Hi buddy, two bugs introduced themselves when I upgraded to Salient 7. 1. if I have two nectar sliders (video background) they won’t load, just having one seems ok though. 2. youtube iframe embed stopped working.
I have to switch back to the previous version for now so hopefully a bug-fix soon, it looks good otherwise
Hey – I haven’t been able to confirm either of these testing on my end, have you confirmed your cache was cleared and that no child theme active was causing the issue?

Just to let you know I’ve tried but still doesn’t work. My biggest issue is the disappearing of some elements, including an auto-play youtube iframe that still plays in the background with the sound but nothing is shown. Only html and text loads

Hello…. I was noticing my page header images are disappearing on pages that are using the page builder when viewing in mobile. If I dont use page builder they stay viewable but if I use it on that page the header gets cut off when viewing on mobile. Hi. Can you please let me know how to remove the fixed header on thr desktop version of my site. I don’t want it to remain visible as my users scroll down the page. The only option appears to be to resize it. What CSS will remove the fixed header completely? I’ve searched through your support forums but one of the Mods, Tahir, seems to just reply to previous users saying to switch off the resize option however all this does is do exactly that, the menu remain fixed at the top of the screen as you scroll down.
