Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have a sort order option for custom taxonomy or for default wp category, the articles are ordered by latest. There is a filter option only on frontend where the reader can set a different filter option – http://screencast.com/t/12oCVTzahuv

I’m not sure if this will help, but a solution can be to create a page like you said above and use a plugin to redirect the category to the page.

I will add this on our list like a feature request and the developers will consider it for future, but I cannot promise you anything, sorry!

Thanks for the prompt reply. What I actually meant to ask is, WP has a category of its own and Newspaper theme panel has a category list as well. Currently I have created categories using WP default category panel. If I purchase and install Newspapaer theme, will this categories be available for me in the Newspaper category list as well?

OR do i have to create new categories with the same name in the newspaper theme panel to link it with my existing posts?

We also use the default wp categories(you can create a category in the same manner like on default wp theme) and your categories will be available after you activate the theme – https://codex.wordpress.org/Manage_Categories_SubPanel I addition the theme has an option to style the category page in Theme Panel > Categories, global settings and/or for each category like you can see in our documentation – http://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/ also you categories will be available here(already created categories and/or new), if this is what you mean.

Please regenerate your thumbnails using this guide – http://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ If you upload small images please not that WordPress doesn’t have an upscale function adn on modules which use thumbs that are larger than the uploaded image the original size the image will not be up-scaled, this is not ideal because blank space may appear around the thumb. If you don’t have the possibility to upload large images you could use a combination of plugins to upscale the thumbs – Thumbnail Upscale and Force Regenerate.

Hi,

The theme doesn’t have an option to display another content on mobile devices(to have a page for mobile), but you can hide a column using Visual Composer and you could use this option, please check – http://screencast.com/t/euAnH7azZ4Db so just use block 13 and block 14 on different rows and check those settings, it should work.

Hi,

You will need custom modifications to achieve this and you could do it if you have basic php/html/css customizations. A starting point can be the template 3, so please check the single_template_3.php file if you want to modify it or create a new post template, here you can find some suggestions – http://screencast.com/t/xYnle8OIh and also you may need additional css customizations. If you want to create a new template you will need to create a loop-single and a single_template files like we have for theme post templates, but for start you could try to modify a current template and see how it goes(please make a backup before). I suggest to get someone to help you with this if you don’t have php/css knowledge as we cannot provide custom services.

I believe you woudl need a count for the posts showing in that page. Unfortunately I do not see an easy and immediate solution for this and the theme doesn’t have any settings that could help, you woudl need customizations for that.

Smart list are designed different and the method used there isn’t applying to blocks. If you need an implementation for this I suggest you get in touch with a freelancer to do this for you. Sorry!

The theme and/or wordpress settings should not be affected if you update the theme and you already use version 6 of the theme, only if you have custom modifications to the theme files you will have to re-add them as all the files will be overwritten. Hi,

Concerning your first matter, do you need the title removed form a post page or another page and you would want it removed/hidden on all devices or just on mobiles? Please let us know and also provide a link to your site with an example and all necessary details to inspect this.

Unfortunately theme’s video post format > featured video works only with youtube/vimeo and/or dailymotion videos url so you can’t use iframes or shortcodes there, you woudl have to customize the theme to also accept and render them which is not an easy task and you would need customization services which we cannot provide at this time. Sorry!

Thanks for the reply but I am sorry I didn’t make my self clearer. What I was referring to was the headline that sits on top of the image in the Newspaper theme top section. Is it possible to have the headline sit alongside the image as per this theme for instance where the main headline sits underneath the large image on not directly on the image? http://www.mhthemes.com/demo/?theme=newsdesk

There seems to be a trend among magazine themes to do this but most major newspaper websites always have their headline away from the image and not sitting directly on the image.

Both themes functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another, newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while newsmag’s width is 1021px. Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other. I do not see that script in your site’s source code so I’m guessing you have removed it or that online malware checker loads a cached version of your site. Try to make sure you clear all caches and cdn’s and test it again.
